ICMEI and Indo Russia Film & Cultural Forum Present Spectacular Russian Dance Performance at Marwah Studios
Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), through its Indo Russia Film & Cultural Forum, in association with the Rotary E-Club of Winter Haven, organized a mesmerizing cultural evening featuring the renowned Russian dance ensemble Model Studio of Free Dance “Barefoot” at AAFT, Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The performance was dedicated to the theme “Love, Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture.”
The audience was enthralled by an outstanding presentation of contemporary and traditional Russian folk dances that beautifully reflected the rich cultural heritage of Russia. The event served as another milestone in strengthening the cultural bond between India and Russia through the universal language of art.
Speaking on the occasion, Eleena from Russia House said, “Model Studio of Free Dance ‘Barefoot’ is an acclaimed contemporary and folk dance group from the Balaklava Culture Palace in Sevastopol, Crimea. The ensemble has earned appreciation for preserving Russian cultural traditions while presenting them in a contemporary style before international audiences.”
Welcoming the artists, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Russia Film & Cultural Forum, said, “Art and culture have the unique power to connect people beyond geographical and political boundaries. Sandeep Marwah Announces Special AAFT Award for Acclaimed Filmmaker and AAFT Alumnus Luv Ranjan
Mumbai: Renowned filmmaker and producer Luv Ranjan, an illustrious alumnus of AAFT, will be conferred with a Special AAFT Award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cinema, announced Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts and President of Marwah Studios.
Making the announcement, Dr. Marwah expressed immense pride in the achievements of the celebrated filmmaker.
“We are proud of our AAFTian, Luv Ranjan, whose remarkable journey from the classrooms of AAFT to becoming one of the most successful filmmakers in the Indian film industry is an inspiration for thousands of young aspiring filmmakers. His dedication, creativity, and ability to connect with audiences through meaningful and entertaining cinema have brought immense recognition to the institution. It gives us great pleasure to honour him with a Special AAFT Award,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.
Over the years, Luv Ranjan has built an impressive body of work with blockbuster and critically appreciated films including Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, De De Pyaar De, De De Pyaar De 2, Chhalaang, Wild Wild Punjab, Cocktail 2, Vadh, Vadh 2, and several other successful productions, earning him a distinguished place among contemporary Hindi filmmakers.
