National Day of Brazil Celebrated with Grandeur at Reception Hosted by Brazilian Ambassador in India

New Delhi:  A grand reception was held to celebrate the National Day of Brazil, hosted by H.E. Kenneth H. da Nóbrega, the Ambassador of Brazil to India, and his wife, Mrs. Ana Lucia M. da Nóbrega, at their official residence. The event marked a celebration of Brazilian culture, heritage, and the enduring diplomatic ties between Brazil and India. The evening was graced by prominent dignitaries, diplomats, and notable figures from various sectors.

The celebration was highlighted by the presence of Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Petroleum & Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, who attended as the chief guest. Minister Puri commended the strong relationship between India and Brazil and expressed optimism about furthering collaborations in various sectors, including trade, culture, and sustainable development.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo-Brazil Film and Cultural Forum, was also a prominent guest at the event. Through his work, Dr. Marwah has been instrumental in fostering cultural and cinematic exchanges between India and Brazil, creating a platform for artists and filmmakers to collaborate and learn from each other. His presence underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral ties.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Nóbrega expressed his appreciation for the support and warmth shown by the Indian government and the people of India towards Brazil. He emphasized the significance of cultural exchange in deepening the understanding and friendship between the two nations. “Brazil and India share a longstanding partnership rooted in shared values, cultural exchange, and mutual respect. As we celebrate our National Day, we also celebrate the vibrant connection between our peoples,” he stated.

Dr. Marwah expressed his gratitude to the Brazilian Embassy for hosting such a meaningful celebration and reiterated the Indo-Brazil Film and Cultural Forum’s commitment to promoting cross-cultural understanding. “The Indo-Brazil Film and Cultural Forum remains dedicated to bridging our cultures through film and the arts. It is an honor to be a part of this celebration and to witness the growing friendship between India and Brazil,” Dr. Marwah commented.
