Comedy In Indian Cinema-Workshop By David Dhawan at 5th GFFN

David Dhawan started off as an editor and then took the plunge into directing. He specializes in directing comedy films, most of which have featured Govinda, Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor or Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, with Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Katrina Kaif playing the leading actresses. Kader Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Johnny Lever and Paresh Rawal appear in his films playing supporting roles. His biggest success to date is 1993's Aankhen starring Govinda and Chunkey Pandey His Partner also became a big success at the box office. Speaking to the film delegates Sandeep Marwah said,” David Dhawan is one of the most successful directors of the country. His command on comedy is commendable” David Dhawan taught the film audience how comedy films are planned and what are the ingredients required for the same.

Book on Editing Released by David Dhawan at 5th GFFN

“Films are made on editing tables” said Sandeep Marwah introducing a book on Editing released by David Dhawan on the occasion on 5th Global Film Festival Noida. “I completed my course on editing and slowly and gradually shifted to Direction” said David Dhawan. “All those Students who are opting for direction course, must know editing” added David. Ashok Tyagi also an editor now a popular director participated in conversation. Present on the occasion were Anugyan Nag, Dr.Shoma Chatterjee, Pankaj Parashar, Malti Sahay who appreciated the efforts of the festival organizers.

Seminar: Changing Trends In Indian Cinema At 5th GFF

“There is a change in technology, change in contents, change in presentation and 100 years of cinema has grown from silent to talkies to digital, from black and white to color” said Sandeep Marwah initiating the discussion at the seminar during 5th Global Film Festival Noida 2012. Ashok Tyagi related cinema to the changing trends in politics. Malti Sahai talked about the contents. Pankaj Parashar spoke about the technonology in cinema. Dr Shoma Chatterjee expressed the audience thinking and Anugyan Nag spoke about regional cinema. Later David Dhawan gave different case studies to explain changes in cinema.

Special Treatment and Counseling for School Students

Asian Education Group highlighted its all media institution during the three days of 5th Global Film Festival Noida at Marwah Studios. Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Asian School Of Media Studies, Asian School Of Communication, Asian School Of Performing Arts and Asian School Of Graphics And Animation representatives spoke about all the different media courses running in the group. Large number of students showed their keen interest in media courses of Asian Education Group. A special question answer session was organized by the authorities.

Thousands of delegates from all over India and abroad made the festival as one of the most happening festival in India. Oleg Silvanovich Of Belarus Visited Sandeep Marwah of India

Oleg Silvanovich the former Dy Minister of Culture of Belarus now General Director of National Film Studio who is also the part of the delegation of Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich now in India visited five times International record holder Sandeep Marwah at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. “I am here in India to promote and develop our relations with India through film, Television and Media and who can be better than Sandeep Marwah who is the representative of Film Federation Of India and heading the Asian Media Group of 10000 media persons” said Oleg Silvanovich extending the invitation to Sandeep Marwah to come to Belarus. Sandeep Marwah offered all the film and television training setup to Belarus and showed interest in producing feature film in a joint venture. Later Sandeep Marwah honored Oleg Silvanovich with life membership of International Film And Television Club.
