New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of Marwah Studios, recently met the newly appointed British High Commissioner to India, H.E. Lindy Cameron CB OBE, at her residence. The event, which brought together members of the Indian business and professional community, included introductions by Ashley Almanza, Executive Chairman of G4S International,

During their interaction, Dr. Marwah discussed his role as the Ambassador of Wales in India, a position conferred upon him in 2007 by the Deputy First Minister of Wales, H.E. Ian Wayen Jones, during an official visit to India. Dr. Marwah also highlighted his visit as a state guest to Cardiff, an honor bestowed by the Government of Wales.

A recipient of the prestigious title ‘Champion of Wales,’ Dr. Marwah has been instrumental in fostering cultural and creative ties between India and Wales. His efforts have further been recognized with his nomination as Chairperson of the Indo-Wales Creative Forum, underlining his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.

The meeting served as a platform to reaffirm the importance of strengthening cultural and professional collaborations between the United Kingdom and India.

New Delhi :Sandeep Marwah, Ambassador of Wales and Chair of the Indo-Welsh Creative Forum, was honored to be a special guest at a vibrant celebration of Saint David’s Day hosted by H.E. Alex Ellis, British High Commissioner to India. The event, held at the British High Commission residence, brought together dignitaries and guests to commemorate the rich cultural heritage shared between Wales and India.

The guest of honor, Ffion Thomas, Welsh Government Deputy Director, added to the occasion’s significance with her presence, further strengthening the bonds between Wales and India.

Sandeep Marwah, in his capacity as the chair of the Indo-Welsh Creative Forum, highlighted the importance of David’s Day, symbolizing the cultural exchanges and collaborative efforts between Wales and India. He emphasized the initiatives launched by First Minister Mark Drakeford and Minister for Health and Social Services Eluned Morgan, marking the beginning of a year-long celebration called “Wales In India.” This initiative aims to deepen the ties between the two nations across various sectors such as art and culture, education, health, business, and human rights.

The year-long series of events under “Wales In India” seeks to foster new trade and investment opportunities, promote cultural and sporting connections, and strengthen academic and healthcare collaborations between Wales and India. Sandeep Marwah expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, highlighting its potential to further enhance bilateral relations and create mutual benefits for both nations.

The celebration of David’s Day at the British High Commission served as a poignant reminder of the enduring friendship and shared values between Wales and India. It exemplified the commitment of both nations to nurturing and expanding their relationship across diverse fields, paving the way for greater cooperation and collaboration in the years to come.

Sandeep Marwah Welcomed by Writers Fraternity at London

Writer Tejinder Sharma Presented his Book to Sandeep Marwah on His Visit to London

London: We are more than excited to receive Dr. Sandeep Marwah the Global Cultural Minister and a huge promoter of art and culture in the World. His presence has brought lot of enthusiasm in the London circle of artists especially writers. His contribution is immense in building powerful relation between India and United Kingdom through art and culture,” said Tejinder Sharma renowned writer of United Kingdom.

Tejinder Sharma MBE is a senior Hindi writer and activist in the UK. He is the editor of Purvai Magazine and General Secretary of Katha UK. He has been regularly organizing events at the Nehru Centre and High Commission of India.

Tejinder Sharma was honoured with “The Member of the Order of the British Empire.”  He received his award for “Contribution to Hindi Literature and Community Cohesion in the city of London at the hands of Prince Charles in a grand investiture held at the   Buckingham Palace. Tejinder Sharma’s name was referred to the Queen by the British Prime Minister Teresa May. He is the first Hindi writer to receive this honour for his contribution to the Hindi Literature.

Tajinder is also the recipient of Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award for Promotion of Art and Culture from International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. Later Tejinder Sharma presented Dr. Sandeep Marwah with his latest book in Hindi-“Mrityu Ke Indradhanush” as a gesture of goodwill. Indo UK Film and Cultural Forum promised to promote Hindi writing in UK.

London: We feel great honor in presenting this Patronship of AASGON- Africa Asia Scholars Global Network to Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the Ambassador of Wales to India and has been titled Global Cultural Minister three times at British Parliament in three different occasions, on this very happy occasion of Queen’s Jubilee Day. We need his guidance to grow in our vision,” said Abdul Dewale Muhammed President of AASGON in London.

The team of AASGON is privileged today to meet the legend from India who has created numerous international records in art & culture and has a vast experience of more than 40 years in international relations. London: “What a pleasure to be here in London on the most auspicious day which happens to be the Birthday of Queen Elizabeth II and also the jubilee celebration of Queen of completing seventy years of her regime. I am lucky to be here in London to see the most fascinating celebrations,” said Sandeep Marwah Ambassador of Wales in India while talking to the press at hotel The Langham Regent Street in London.

Elizabeth II, the queen of England, is the longest-lived and longest reigning British monarc, the oldest and longest serving incumbent head of state, and second longest reigning sovereign monarc in the World. Elizabeth was born in Mayfair London on 21st April 1926, as the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York. Her father acceded to the throne in 1936 upon the abdication of his brother, King Edward viii making Elizabeth the heir presumptive.

We have a lot to do with United Kingdom as we are associated with large number of Universities & educational institutions, cultural and social organizations. I am also the Chair of Indo United Kingdom Film and Cultural Forum and it is my honour that I have been nominated as the Ambassador of Wales in India by H.E. Ian Wayen Jones  than the Deputy First Minister of Wales, the Government of Wales.
