New Delhi, 3rd July 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), along with the Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, proudly extends its warmest congratulations to His Excellency Mikhail M Kasko, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to India, and to the people of Belarus on the glorious occasion of Independence Day.

Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum Showcases Floral Elegance and Artistic Heritage at 9th Global Fashion and Design Week

Noida, India – May 31, 2025 – The Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the Embassy of Belarus in India, made a remarkable contribution to the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, hosted at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. Widely celebrated as the world’s largest fashion week ever conducted by an academic institution, GFDW 2025 proved once again to be a vibrant confluence of fashion, creativity, and cultural diplomacy.

The event was steered under the visionary leadership of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, with strong collaboration from AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing. The festival boasted participation from over 200 eminent designers, with 550 exclusive garments and 125 interior installations, making it a truly global showcase.

The Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, a consistent pillar of international collaboration, added immense charm to the event with its Belarus-inspired fashion presentation. The collection drew inspiration from the romantic theme “Lovers on the Lilac”, reflecting the poetic and serene aura of Belarusian floral landscapes. The garments, made of luxurious Japanese cotton, featured body-fitted silhouettes in soft hues of lavender, lilac, pink, and blue — celebrating nature, love, and timeless elegance.

In a special gesture towards cultural integration, a furniture piece inspired by Belarusian design sensibilities was also exhibited. This symbolic addition emphasized the connection between Belarusian aesthetics and contemporary Indian craftsmanship.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, stated, “India and Belarus share a strong bond that can be further deepened through creative collaborations in art and culture. The fashion inspired by Belarus this year is a beautiful reminder of how elegance, nature, and love can transcend borders.”

GFDW 2025 featured nine major shows, 90 fashion rounds, six curated exhibitions, and nine international culinary experiences, all broadcast live on MSTV and Radio Noida, with coverage from over 600 international media outlets.

The Indo-Belarus showcase not only highlighted the cultural synergy between the two nations but also stood as a testament to fashion’s role as a universal language of beauty and peace.

New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, as well as the Chair for Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, was bestowed with the esteemed role of special guest at the Independence Day Celebration of Belarus, organized by the Embassy of Belarus in New Delhi at Hotel Leela Grand.

Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum was established by His Excellency H E Andrei I Rzheussky to foster and strengthen the bonds between the people of India and Belarus through the realms of art and culture. The forum has been making remarkable strides, with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry playing a pivotal role in highlighting Belarus through various platforms, such as the Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Food Festivals, and more. The event’s Chief Guest was Meenakshi Lekhi, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, representing the media and entertainment industry and the entire art and culture fraternity of India, conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the Ambassador H E Andrei I Rzheussky and the people of Belarus on the momentous occasion of their Independence Day. Film  Detonation from Belarus Won the Hearts at 15th Global Film Festival

Noida: On the second day of 15th Global Film Festival, commenced at Marwah Studios, an award winning film “Detonation” from Belarus was screened, later which was given the ‘Award of Distinction’ by Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University & President of the festival.

The cast for the movie includes Andrey Senkin and Dariya Karpechenkova. The movie revolved around The Second World War. On the territory of liberated Belarus, a large amount of work on mine clearance of the territories from the remnants of war: unexploded mines and shells left in the ground is carried out. In order to clear the territories, volunteers squads from the members of OSOAVIAKHIM are formed narrated by Ms. Anastasiya Vorakh Counsellor at Embassy of Belarus, who also inaugurated the film event.

 A book titled  “Growth and Mindset” written by  Samaresh Shah of Niti Aayog, was also released, which basically revolves around how to build wealth and one can lean the real meaning of inner growth. The other guests present on the occasion were Film Maker AAFTian Rajinder Saigal , Actor AAFTian Masoom Singh,  known for his role in Back to Dad, and Neha Singh the founder of Freizeit Media OTT Channel.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Akriti SIngh. The event was supported by Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, International Film and Television Club, Asian Unity Alliance and World Peace Development and Research Foundation. Film was appreciated by one and all.

New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah does not need any introduction; he is an internationally renowned media person. He is founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, AAFT University and chairing large number of National and International organizations in private and government sector. His contribution in building international relations with India cannot be expressed in words,” said Rishab Malhotra Vice Chair of Inventivepreneur Chamber of Commerce and Industries introducing him to the high-powered delegation from Republic of Belarus to India during their visit to Pragati Maidan.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is also the Chair for Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum and working along with Embassy of Belarus in India to promote relations between the two countries. Recently a festival of Films from Belarus was also conducted at Marwah Studios.

Festival of Films from Belarus at Marwah Studios

Noida: The Cinema of Belarus began on 17 December 1924 with the creation by decree of what later became Belarusfilm studio. The studio was moved to Minsk in 1939. Film production was interrupted by World War II  and restarted in 1946, when the studio assumed its current name. Most of the output has been in Russian  rather than Belarusian.,’ said H.E. Andrei Rzheussky Ambassador of Belarus to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp at the inauguration of festival of films from Belarus.

“We are thankful to International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum for organizing the festival. I hope you all will like the four films opted for this festival. The industry in Belarus may not be very big but we are definitely making some good films which have become   popular internationally,” added H.E. Andrei Rzheussky Ambassador of Belarus addressing the jam packed hall at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

“Films are the best Ambassador of culture of any country. It is a wonderful opportunity for the film lovers to learn about Cinema and culture of Belarus. The country offers beautiful locations and a friendly environment to even shoot films in Belarus. The students of AAFT School of Cinema are getting associated with new ways of film making,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

H.E. Lukmon Bobokalonzoda Ambassador of Tajikistan to India, H.E. Shalar Geldynazarov Ambassador of Turkmenistan, Darkhan Seitenov Deputy Head of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, Roman Babushkin Deputy Head of Embassy of Russia, Jose Escorihuela Deputy Head of the Mission Venezuela, Ambassador K.V. Rajan were the guests of honour and they also appreciated the festival of Belarus Films.

Four films including ‘Heritage’ Directed by Tatiana Afanasieva, ‘On the Surface’
Directed by Alexander Anisimov, ‘The Gamer Rules’ by Olga Alexandrov and ‘Tum Pabi Dum’ Directed by Vyacheslav Nikiforov were part of the festival.

It was well attended by the members of Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum &   International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. The event was planned by  Anastasiya of Embassy of Belarus. Arijit Paul Director AAFT School of Cinema presented vote of thanks. The event was executed by Haripriya Banga Director Events  and Rajiv Mathur Director ICMEI.

Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum Inaugurated at Embassy of Belarus

New Delhi: “It was not too long we decided to have an association with Embassy of Belarus and start an organization to develop and promote relation between the two countries India and Belarus through art and culture. Today is the D Day and we are launching this powerful and prestigious unit under International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. In no time people will come to know the strong friendship between the two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts at the inauguration of forum.

A small but well-designed event took place at the Embassy of Republic of Belarus to inaugurate and launch Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum. “It is great pleasure to create an association with ICMEI. India and Belarus have very strong ties from centuries, we would love to extend our relations and associations with the people of India through art and culture,” said H.E. Andrei I Rzheussky Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India while releasing the poster of Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum.

H.E. Andrei I Rzheussky Ambassador Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah As the Chair for Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum. “We have many ideas ready to move forward which includes department of films, television, media, tourism and hospitality, fashion and design, environment, skill development and education where we can show our expertise,” added Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah also presented the Patronship of forum to H.E. Andrei I Rzheussky.” I am honoured to be the part of this forum. Together we will develop new heights in our relationship with India, Soon we will plan a festival of films from Belarus” expressed Ambassador.

A certificate mentioning Patronship was presented by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment to H.E. Andrei I Rzheussky in a official ceremony which took place at the Embassy of Belarus in New Delhi.

“I accept the patronship of Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum with great honour. Together we will make our friendship much stronger,” said H.E. Andrei I Rzheussky. 

Later Ambassador appreciated the efforts of ICMEI and was interviewed by Radio Noida and MSTV. The event was well covered by the press.

New Delhi: Renowned Film Television and Media Personality and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been nominated as the Chair of newly created body Indo Belarus Film and Cultural Forum by H E Andrei I Rzheussky Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of India.

“Dr. Sandeep Marwah is one of the well-known Indian not only in his own country but many countries of the World. His experience and expertise is going to help us in building better relations between India and Belarus,” said H E Andrei I Rzheussky Ambassador of Belarus while handing over the memento to Marwah in a small function at Embassy of Belarus in India.

“What a pleasure and honour to represent  one of the most beautiful countries of the World. We have many ideas to execute so that people to people contacts can be developed between the two countries,” added Dr. Marwah accepting the chairmanship.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film and Television. He has been nominated as National Chairman for Media and Entertainment committee of  BIS Ministry of Consumer Affairs Government of India. He is also on the board of AICTE Ministry of Education, Government of India.
