Noida: The Indo Japan Film and Cultural Forum (IJFCF) at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, organized an exclusive session featuring Kanta Nakagawa, under the leadership of Takemichi Hirakawa, Managing Director & CEO of Kobelco Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd., Japan.

The event aimed to strengthen cultural and educational ties between India and Japan through meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas. Kanta Nakagawa addressed the gathering with insightful perspectives on Indo-Japanese collaborations in art, culture, and industry, highlighting the importance of mutual understanding in today’s global environment.

Noida, India – In a moment of cultural pride and unity, Marwah Studios became a significant part of the grand initiative to install a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Tokyo, Japan. The project, supported by the Indo-Japan Film and Cultural Forum (IJFCF) of ICMEI, witnessed a special prayer ceremony at Marwah Studios, attended by Dr. Sandeep Marwah along with over 100 devotees and dignitaries.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his pride in being associated with such a prestigious initiative, stating: “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s legacy of courage, leadership, and vision continues to inspire millions. It is a great honor to contribute to this cultural bridge between India and Japan.”

As a part of the ongoing Indo-Japan Shivaswaraj Rath Yatra, a grand reception was organized at Marwah Studios in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, marking another milestone in strengthening India-Japan cultural relations.

The statue, a remarkable 450 KG structure with a height of 8.5 feet, is crafted from special steel and fiber coating material, ensuring durability and artistic grandeur. The historic unveiling of the statue is set to take place on March 8, in the presence of His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan.

The initiative symbolizes the deep-rooted cultural and diplomatic ties between India and Japan, honoring the spirit of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on an international platform.

Noida, India – October 2024 – The 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024 celebrated an exciting culinary event with the introduction of a Japanese Food Festival, supported by the Indo-Japan Film and Cultural Forum. The festival was inaugurated by Mr. Hiroyuki NakanoSenior Director of JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), a Japanese government-related organization that promotes mutually beneficial trade and investment relations. The exquisite menu featured authentic Japanese dishes, designed and prepared by the talented students of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism.

The food festival offered festival-goers an immersive experience into the refined flavors of Japan, with a variety of traditional Japanese delicacies such as sushi, tempura, ramen, and mochi, crafted with care and precision. The event not only showcased the rich culinary heritage of Japan but also underscored the importance of cultural exchange between India and Japan through the shared experience of food.

Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Global Literary Festival Noida and Founder of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), emphasized the festival’s broader cultural mission. He said, “This Japanese Food Festival is a symbol of the deep cultural ties between India and Japan. It exemplifies how food can transcend borders, offering an opportunity to appreciate and learn from each other’s traditions. New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), was bestowed with a prestigious award in recognition of his outstanding contributions towards strengthening Indo-Japan relations. The accolade was presented during the ‘Developing India Japan Business’ event organized by Nupur Tewari of Indo Japan Connect, held at the India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi.

 Marwah’s relentless efforts in fostering closer ties between India and Japan through the medium of art and culture were lauded by attendees and dignitaries alike. Reflecting on the deep-rooted relations between the two nations, he emphasized the pivotal role played by ICMEI in bridging cultural divides and nurturing mutual understanding.

Noida:– In a bid to bolster the cultural and cinematic ties between Japan and India, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), the Indo Japan Film and Cultural Forum, and the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) have joined forces to embark on a collaborative journey towards fostering deeper relations between the two nations.

A significant step towards this endeavor was marked by the recent visit of Hiroki Watanabe, Director of the Intellectual Property Division at JETRO Japan, and Jenica Kalra, representing JETRO India, to the AAFT campus. During their visit, discussions were held regarding a strategic partnership aimed at promoting Cellphone cinema, a pioneering initiative set to revolutionize the cinematic landscape.

Expressing gratitude for the warm reception received, Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and ICMEI, reminisced about the pivotal moment when seven AAFT students had the honor of presenting a Memento to the esteemed King of Japan during their visit to Osaka for the Global Student’s Conference. This visit, orchestrated by the Japan Foundation and the Government of Japan, included a memorable tour of the Palace in Tokyo, further solidifying the bonds between the two nations.

ICMEI and Geek Pictures Join Forces to Promote Cinema and Cultural Exchange

ICMEI and Geek Pictures of Japan Signed MOU to Promote Art and Culture Together

Noida, [Date] – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) has entered into a momentous partnership with the renowned Japanese media company, Geek Pictures, led by Chairman Tamotsu Kosana. The agreement, signed on an auspicious day at Marwah Studios Film City in Noida, aims to foster the development and promotion of films, television, and media businesses in both countries.

The collaboration between ICMEI and Geek Pictures will create a platform for mutual support and exploration of trade opportunities, including the import and export of software for the industry. Special emphasis will be placed on the production and marketing of animated films in India. Additionally, ICMEI President Sandeep Marwah extended an invitation for Geek Pictures to become a part of the Indo Japan Film and Cultural Forum.

AAFT and SONY Signed MOU to Promote Film Making and Journalism

Noida: New Delhi, India – The Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SONY, a leading Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation. The agreement is aimed at promoting good cinema and visual media and to enhance the value of cinema through the use of state-of-the-art equipment.

Sandeep Marwah, the President of AAFT, expressed his excitement for the partnership and emphasized the importance of building a strong relationship with Japan. He stated that this collaboration with SONY would provide students at AAFT with access to the latest technology and equipment, which would help them hone their skills in filmmaking and visual media.

Sameer Shahi, Head of College Projects at SONY, also spoke about the partnership, stating that it would open up new avenues for students to explore the world of cinema and filmmaking.

Noida: A team from Japan recently visited Marwah Studios, located in Noida Film City, with the intention of collaborating in the film, television, and OTT businesses. The team was reportedly impressed by the state-of-the-art facilities at Marwah Studios, which has become a leading hub for media and entertainment in India.

The visit is seen as a positive step towards strengthening ties between the two countries’ media industries and creating new opportunities for growth and development. The collaboration is expected to lead to exciting new projects and ventures in the near future, and the industry is looking forward to seeing what this partnership will bring.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah informed the delegation about the formation of Indo Japan Film and Cultural Forum and  presented Tamotsu Kosano  of Greek Pictures Private Limited with the life membership of International Film and Television Club of Asian Academy of Film and Television. Dr. Marwah was invited by the leader of the delegation Tamotsu Kosano to Japan. He was accompanied with Arjun Agarwal, Moksha Modgill and Mohit Kukreti from India office of Greek Pictures.
