ICMEI Extends Congratulations to the Netherlands on National Day

Noida, India – Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, on behalf of the Indian art and culture fraternity, extended his heartiest congratulations to Marie Louisa Gerards, Ambassador of Netherlands, and to the people of the Netherlands on the occasion of their National Day, celebrated on 27th April.

Marking the special occasion, Dr. Marwah highlighted the strong and friendly relations between India and the Netherlands. “India and the Netherlands share wonderful bilateral relations built on mutual respect, trade, cultural exchange, and historical connections. Such occasions further strengthen the bond between our two nations,” he said.

Dr. Marwah also emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy in enhancing people-to-people connections. He noted that the Indo Netherlands Film and Cultural Forum has been playing a significant role in building and maintaining strong ties between the citizens of both countries through art, cinema, and cultural initiatives.

Noida, 11th October 2025 — The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) hosted a special interaction to welcome Prof. Shardhanand Harinandan Singh from the Netherlands, along with Dr. Salim Engineer, Binod Kumar (IRS), and event designer Salim Khan, at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. The meeting focused on strengthening the contribution and participation of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in India’s growth story.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair for Indo Netherland Film and Cultural Forum, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests. He emphasized the vital role played by NRIs in enhancing India’s image globally and contributing to its socio-economic development. “The strength of India lies not only within its borders but also among millions of Indians living abroad who continue to uplift the nation’s name with their dedication and achievements,” said Dr. Marwah.

Noida: The poster of 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 was released by well known writer, actor, Director from Netherlands Jolein Laarman and Wicher J Slater First Secretary from the Embassy of Netherlands on their visit to Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

“What a pleasure to be the part of this well known film, television and media house- Marwah Studios. It is a great pleasure to release the poster of 15th Global Film Festival Noida. The 15th edition speaks for itself the stability and popularity of the film festival which has grown so big in all these years,” said Jolien Laarman with excitement in her voice.

I extend my heartiest congratulations to the completer team of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry for continuously organising Global Film Festival and bringing the World together   through art and culture,” added Wicher J Starter from Embassy of Netherlands.

The visit was well appreciated by Indo Netherlands Film and Cultural Forum which is growing under the chairmanship of Sandeep Marwah. Later Sandeep Marwah honoured  the dignities with the life membership of International Film and Television Club of Marwah Studios.

Workshop by Award Winning Writer Jolein Laarman from Netherlands

Noida: A powerful workshop on writing by a well-known writer, art director & producer from Netherlands Jolein Laarman was conducted for the students of Asian Academy of Film and television at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida to support the current syllabus on Writing for Cinema.

“Writing is the best way to express your own self. When you write you share your lifetime experiences with many other people who are nor fortunate enough to have all those kind of experiences during their lifetime. It is the best way to entertain yourself. To write well you must read a lot,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios initiating the subject.

“People who are part of films, television, and media, must get into the habit of writing. The faintest ink is more powerful than strongest memory. The instances, happenings, your observations can get you write better book, script, and screenplay. You can master in writing only when you start writing,” said award winning writer Jolein Laarman known for her projects like Kauwboy, Do Not Hesitate, Katia’s Sister and many more.

The workshop was followed by a question answer session by the students of cinema and writing department.  Dr, Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of Asian Academy of Film and Television to Jolein Laarman and the Wicher J Slater First Secretary from the Embassy of Netherlands who was also part of the program. Later dignities released the first poster of 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 scheduled for 8th to 10th December this year.

Marten van den Berg Ambassador of Netherlands to India and the people of Netherlands on Kings Birthday, which falls on 27th April,” expressed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry  has already created a new setup under the name of Indo Netherlands Business And Cultural Forum to develop and promote relation between people of two countries India and Netherland.

“Ample activities have taken place and we are stuck because of Pandemic. Earlier I had the opportunity to visit the country few times to know more about the art, culture and business prospects in Netherlands,” added Sandeep Marwah Chair for Indo Netherlands Business And Cultural Forum.
