Sandeep Marwah Extends Heartiest Congratulations to Sudan on Its Independence Day

Noida, India:Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Mohammed Abdalla Ali Eltom, Ambassador of Sudan to India, and to the people of Sudan on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day of Sudan, celebrated on 1st January.

While conveying his warm wishes, Sandeep Marwah emphasized the strong and growing bilateral relations between India and Sudan, particularly in the fields of art, culture, film, and media. He highlighted that cultural diplomacy has played a vital role in strengthening mutual understanding and people-to-people connections between the two nations.

Dr. Marwah recalled that the foundation of this cultural collaboration was laid in 2002, when the Indo-Sudan Cultural Forum was formed under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem, the then Ambassador of Sudan to India. At that time, Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, was nominated as the Chair of the Forum. Since then, the organization has been actively working to promote and deepen relations between Sudan and India through films, media, art, and cultural exchanges.

“With the evolution of our activities, the Indo-Sudan Film and Cultural Forum was established to further institutionalize these efforts. Today, Sudan stands as a valued partner with ICMEI and has been associated with almost every major international event organized by us,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

He further expressed confidence that the friendship between India and Sudan will continue to flourish, paving the way for greater collaboration in cultural, educational, and creative sectors, and wished the people of Sudan peace, prosperity, and progress on this historic national day.

ICMEI Congratulates the Country of Sudan on Independence Day

Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the visionary leadership of its President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extended heartfelt congratulations to Hassan Ali Osman Mahmoud, Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of Sudan in India, and the people of Sudan on the momentous occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on 1st January.

Some of the flagship events spearheaded by the Indo-Sudan Film and Cultural Forum include: Global Film Festival: Featuring Sudanese films that highlight the country’s cinematic achievements and storytelling traditions. Global Festival of Journalism: Showcasing the role of Sudanese media in shaping public opinion and fostering communication. Global Fashion Week: Celebrating Sudanese textiles, fashion, and traditional attire on an international stage. Global Literary Festival: Recognizing the literary contributions of Sudanese authors and poets. International Documentary Film Festival: Providing a platform for Sudanese filmmakers to share their compelling narratives with a global audience.

Dr. Marwah emphasized the importance of cultural forums in building bridges between nations. “Through art, cinema, literature, and fashion, we create a dialogue that transcends borders and fosters global harmony. The partnership between India and Sudan is a shining example of how culture can unite people from different backgrounds,” he said.

CMEI Celebrates Independence Day of Sudan at Marwah Studios Film City Noida

Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) celebrated the Independence Day of Sudan at its international headquarters, extending heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Abdalla Omer Bashir Elhusain, the Ambassador of Sudan to India, and the people of Sudan.

In a warm gesture, Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and also the Chair for the Indo Sudan Film and Cultural Forum, conveyed his best wishes on behalf of ICMEI and the entire fraternity of art and culture. Sudan’s Independence Day, observed on the 1st of January, became an occasion for ICMEI to express solidarity and celebrate the achievements of the Sudanese people.

ICMEI Extended Best Wishes to Sudan on Independence Day

ICMEI Congratulated Embassy of Sudan on National Day







New Delhi:26th Dec: “I take this opportunity on behalf of ICMEI, complete media and entertainment industry and art and culture fraternity of India to congratulate Mr. Isam Idris Charge de Affairs Embassy of Sudan in India and the people of Sudan on the auspicious day of National Day of Sudan which falls on 1st January,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

The 20th century saw the growth of Sudanese nationalism and was emboldened by the Egyptian revolution of 1952 and support from Egypt’s new leaders. When the Egyptians abandoned their claims of sovereignty, the British knew this would bring instability to the region and agreed to a free vote in the Sudanese regions on whether they wanted independence or a British withdrawal.

The vote was for independence and resulted in the Sudanese parliament, unilaterally and unanimously, declaring Sudan’s independence on December 19th 1955. The British and Egyptian Governments recognised the independence of Sudan on January 1st 1956.
