ICMEI and Urvashi Cultural Society Believes in Promoting Indian Culture

AAGAAS A Dance Recital On New Year Day



New Delhi: ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Urvashi Dance and Music Art And Cultural Society opened the New Year 2021 with a program on  Dances of India by the legends of Indian Classical Dancers.

“The program has been titled as Aagaas which means beginning, yes, it is the beginning of New Year and we want to celebrate with great pomp and show. We want to highlight Indian art and culture to rest of the World through these kinds of programs,” said Rekha Mehra Director of AAGAAS and founder of Urvashi Dance Music Art and Cultural Society.

“Culture is the way we see and do things as a society. The term incorporates the social norms, values and traditions, knowledge and technology, food, language, the arts, and many other things. Culture is an important part of the way we experience life. Indian art consists of its dances and music has a great historical values,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

 Sharmila Sharma Kathak Exponent from Paris, Sangita Jha Singer from Mumbai, Padma Bhushan Dr. Saroja Vaidyanathan Bharatnatyam Exponent from Delhi, Svetlana & Ashwai Nigam Kathak Exponent from Moscow, PadamShree Ranjana Gauhar Odissi Exponent, Jayashree Acharya Kathak Exponent and Kajal Sharma Kathak Exponent from United Kingdom were the participants of the New Year Show.

The program AAGAAS is supported by Ministry of Culture and ICCR of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. AAFT University of Media And Arts, Radio Noida 107.4Fm and MSTV are the media partners of the event.

ICMEI Will Support International Dance Competition

New Delhi: Dancing helps you to stay physically and mentally fit. Even more so, dancing regularly can improve your general well-being, boosts your self-esteem and has also been shown to improve your social skills. No matter if you’re a professional dancer or enjoy dancing as a recreational activity.

“Dance is the hidden language of the soul. Dance allows you to express a wide variety of emotions. The way you dance can express happiness, excitement, and passion but also aggression and anger. dancing is a fantastic way to lose themselves in the vibrating rhythm of the music. It helps them to forget all the problems in their lives and to simply enjoy the present moment,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios & ICMEI on the launching of 12th episode of International Dance competition organised by Urvashi Dance Music Art and Culture Society.

“We will support this International Dance and music Competition so that large number of young aspirants can take full advantage of the efforts executed by renowned Kathak Dancer Rekha Mehra and Urvashi Cultural Society,” added Dr. Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Dr Rekha Mehra of Urvashi Dance Music, Art & Cultural Society  planned this competition under the name and banner of   ‘Sur Taal Hunar Ka Kamaal’ An Online International Talent Hunt of Classical Dance & Light Music. The event is supported by Ministry of Culture and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs Government of India.

ICCR And ICMEI Will Work Together For Promotion of Arts

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry met Akhilesh Mishra IFS Director General of ICCR- Indian Council For Cultural Relations Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India to discuss the collaboration between the two powerful cultural organizations at Azad Bhawan.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah briefed Akhilesh Mishra about the different committees Chamber is running including Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, Animation, Tourism, Hospitality, Fashion, Design, Environment, Education, Skill Development etc. “We will be more than happy if we can be part of any activity designed by ICCR and would love to assist you in the same,” proposed Dr. Marwah to ICCR.

“We have noted down the contents and shall let you know where we need support to promote and highlight our programs. ICMEI has done well and I congratulate you for achieving so much in just few years of  its existence,” greeted Akhilesh Mishra.

Sandeep Marwah was accompanied with Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI who presented ICMEI Quaterly newsletter to Akhilesh Mishra.

Soft Power Diplomacy Strength of India- Sandeep Marwah

New Delhi: After the powerful speech of Sushma Swaraj Minister of External Affairs, Government of India in an event organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations at Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra Auditorium on the occasion of World Cultural Day Sandeep Marwah expressed his excitement to large group of people at the centre.

“It has been more than twenty five years we have been in the business of soft power diplomacy -building up relations with the whole World through films, television, media, art and culture,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios recently titled as Global Cultural Ambassador.

Sandeep Marwah informed his association with 145 nations of the World where Marwah Studios in- link- with different Ministries, national and international organizations have organized more than 3500 events of small and big nature to be in touch with all these countries.

Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival and many Global Summits on different Subjects round the year have attracted 145 Nations to India. “We have been able to attract two million people to Noida Film City from all over India and abroad, Where as we have been able to attract students from 120 countries of the World to study Cinema, television, media, fashion, animation, performing arts etc. in India,” said Marwah.

“The formation of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in 2014 was a step to support Prime Minister and Government of India in fulfilling the dream of using soft power of India to built-up the better and strong relations between India and rest of the World,” added Sandeep Marwah.

The event was attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Diplomats, Politicians, people from all the Ministries of Government of India, members of different political parties and film, television, art and cultural fraternity.

Sandeep Marwah Inaugurated The Guru Pranam Ustav


New Delhi: Three days Guru Pranam Ustav of art and culture to promote Odissi dance and music designed by Jyoti Srivastava of Vaishali Kala Kendra was inaugurated by well-known art promoter of the country Sandeep Marwah at Azad Bhawan of ICCR in association with Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

“Some one who has no interest in art and culture can not be a complete human being. The involvements with arts make you a spiritual person. It uplifts mind, body and soul,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios while inaugurating and lighting the ceremonial lamp.

The event has covered solo and group dances, vocal light and classical music, exhibition of paintings and photographs. The main attraction of the festival was the performance by Padamshri Datuk Ramli Ibrahim.

Ambassador Lalit Man Singh former Indian Diplomat, H.E. Sidharto Reza Suryodipura Ambassador of The Republic of Indonesia and H.E. Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid High Commissioner of Malaysia were also present there.
