New Delhi, August 2, 2025: In a spirit of cultural friendship and creative synergy, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), had an engaging and insightful interaction with H.E. Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to India. The discussion focused on the expansion and future initiatives of the Indo-Colombia Film and Cultural Forum, with the aim of fostering deeper artistic collaboration and building dynamic cultural bridges between the two nations.

Dr. Marwah highlighted the significance of cultural diplomacy in global relations. “India and Colombia share rich artistic traditions and creative energy. Through the Indo-Colombia Film and Cultural Forum, we envision collaborative film projects, cultural exchanges, and academic partnerships that will connect our people and celebrate the diversity of our cultures,” he said.

Ambassador Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo appreciated ICMEI’s efforts and expressed Colombia’s keen interest in expanding cultural cooperation with India. “We see tremendous potential in working together through this forum. Our cultures have many beautiful stories to share, and we are excited about joint initiatives in cinema, music, education, and art that can resonate globally,” he stated.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to deepen bilateral cultural relations through creative platforms, joint festivals, media collaborations, and youth engagement programs.

ICMEI Celebrates Colombian Independence Day with Cultural Enthusiasm

Noida, July 20, 2024 – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in collaboration with the Indo Colombia Film and Cultural Forum and AAFT University, proudly celebrated the Independence Day of Colombia at Marwah Studios. The event was a momentous occasion, dedicated to honoring Colombia’s national day and strengthening cultural bonds and mutual respect between India and Colombia.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, expressed his warm congratulations to H.E. Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo, Ambassador of Colombia to India, and the citizens of Colombia on their Independence Day. “I am delighted to take this opportunity to congratulate H.E. Noida, March 31, 2024: Marwah Studios Film City in Noida welcomed the esteemed presence of award-winning Colombian filmmaker Daniel Mendoza Leal, marking a significant moment for cultural exchange and collaboration between India and Colombia. The visit, organized by the Indo-Colombia Film and Cultural Forum in association with the International Film and Television Club, showcased the growing ties between the two nations in the field of cinema and the arts.

Daniel Mendoza Leal, a multifaceted personality known for his work as a lawyer, journalist, and criminologist, has dedicated the past decade to shedding light on Colombia’s narco-paramilitary regime. Films, television, media, hospitality & tourism, education, performing arts, fine arts, fashion & design are some of the subjects we have grown big,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

The board of ICMEI has nominated renowned management expert Kundan of FILMIKA resident of Panama as representative of Indo Panama Film & Cultural Forum and Indo Colombia Film & Cultural Forum in both the nations Colombia and Panama.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented Life Membership of International Film and Television Club of AAFT to Kundan as mark of respect and his deep involvement in films and creative arts.

Sandeep Marwah will Support Indo Colombian Cultural Association

New Creative Organization FILMICKA Announced


Bogota: After the successful launching of Indo Brazil, Indo Chile, Indo Peru, Indo Panama and Indo Venezuela Film & Cultural Forum, Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry promised to support Indo Colombian Film and Cultural Forum.

“I am absolutely ready to support this new venture initiated by the film makers of India and Colombia to do something concrete in this field to bring love, peace and unity between the people of two countries through art and culture. I have been propagating this idea from last thirty years of my association with Cinema,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah in the first meeting of newly formed organization under the title FILMICKA.

Some the renowned film makers and people from the art and culture fraternity decided to have this organization to plan Indian film shootings in Colombia and vice versa. Sandeep Marwah offered a special slot to Colombian arts, cinema, music, dances, etc. on Radio Noida 107.4FM, Radioraipur.fm and MSTV.

Nilsa Gonzalez of  INLACE (India-Latin American Countries Consortium) Panama City, Preeti, Aijaz Khan Film Director, Suresh Mariaselvam, Carlos Mario Rios from Colombia, Kundan FILMICKA, Muqbil Ahmar, Prasoon Sinha Film Maker, Prabhu Selvaraj writer director from Chennai, Pranjal Jain, Rama Rao Veluri, Kamal Patel, Adelfa Martinez Bonilla former Director  Director of the Film Department of the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, Ibon Munervar of Shakti Comunicaciones and  John Sunder were also present and expressed on this four hours long meeting.
