ICMEI Strengthens Indo–Ecuador Relations at Special Reception Hosted by Embassy of Ecuador

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair of the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum, attended a special reception hosted by H.E. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of the Republic of Ecuador to India, at the Embassy of Ecuador in New Delhi.

The gathering was organized to bid farewell to Mr. Jorge Anrango, Deputy Head of Mission, and to welcome Mr. Henry Larrea as the new Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Ecuador. The event brought together distinguished ambassadors, diplomats, members of the business community, and eminent personalities from the fields of art, culture, media, and international relations.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Fernando Bucheli expressed his appreciation for the contributions made by Mr. Jorge Anrango in strengthening bilateral ties between India and Ecuador and extended his best wishes for his future endeavors. He also warmly welcomed Mr. Henry Larrea and conveyed confidence that his tenure would further enhance the friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations.

Indo Ecuador Film & Cultural Forum and AAFT School of Fine Arts Host Art Exhibition Inaugurated by Ambassador of Ecuador

Noida: The Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the AAFT School of Fine Arts, organized a vibrant Exhibition of Paintings at Marwah Studios. The exhibition, featuring the creative works of students from the AAFT School of Fine Arts, was inaugurated by H.E. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of Ecuador to India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Marwah Studios, expressed his delight at the artistic brilliance displayed by the students. He emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges in strengthening international relations and said that such exhibitions help young artists gain global exposure and confidence.

In his inaugural remarks, H.E. Fernando Bucheli appreciated the talent and creativity of the students. He highlighted the value of art in building bridges between nations and encouraged more collaborative activities between Ecuador and India in the fields of culture and education.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including renowned documentary filmmaker Ajay Chitnis; Dr. Senorita Isaac, Trade Commissioner, Latin American Caribbean Trade Council; and Maj. Gen. Bipin Bakshi, former Deputy Director General, MP-IDSA, who all appreciated the initiative and encouraged the students for their artistic achievements.

The exhibition served as a meaningful platform for young artists to showcase their work and further strengthened the cultural ties between India and Ecuador.

Noida: The Embassy of Ecuador in association with the Indo Ecuador Film and Cultural Forum under the banner of ICMEI successfully organized a two-day Festival of Films from Ecuador at Marwah Studios.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Marwah Studios, addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of film festivals in promoting international understanding, cultural exchange, and creative inspiration.

The festival was formally inaugurated by H.E. Fernando Bucheli, Ambassador of Ecuador to India, who lit the ceremonial lamp in a grand ceremony attended by filmmakers, industry professionals, and film lovers. The Ambassador appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of cultural collaboration between India and Ecuador.

Renowned documentary filmmaker Ajay Chitnis also shared his thoughts on the power of documentaries in shaping public awareness and global perspectives. He was honoured on the occasion for completing 100 documentaries.

Dr. Senorita Isaac, Trade Commissioner, Latin American Caribbean Trade Council, addressed the audience and highlighted the growing cultural and economic bonds between India and the Latin American region.

Film Director Ashok Tyagi spoke about the evolution of global cinema and the role of such festivals in nurturing creative talent. He was felicitated for completing 150 episodes of the celebrated television series CINEMAYA on MSTV.

Maj. Gen. Bipin Bakshi, former Deputy Director General, MP-IDSA, added valuable insights on cultural diplomacy and appreciated ICMEI’s continuous efforts in strengthening bilateral relations through art and media.

AAFT alumni Harman Singh and Ayush Shukla were also honoured for their achievement in completing their new feature film FILM 1000.

The festival opened with the screening of the Ecuadorian feature film “Dedicada A Mi Ex”, directed by Jorge Ulloa, receiving warm appreciation from the audience.

Noida, 24th June 2025: In a significant step toward strengthening educational and cultural ties between India and Ecuador, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chancellor of AAFT University, presented a prestigious AAFT Short-Term Course Scholarship to His Excellency Mr. Fernando Xavier Bucheli Vargas, Ambassador of Ecuador to India. The scholarship is designated for a deserving student from Ecuador to pursue specialized education in media and arts at the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), one of the world’s leading creative institutions.

New Delhi – Dr Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Fernando Bucheli, the Ambassador of Ecuador to India, on the occasion of the 215th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Ecuador. The grand celebration took place at the prestigious Hotel Taj Mahal on Mansingh Road, New Delhi.

New Delhi: New Delhi: “I take this wonderful opportunity on behalf of ICMEI, Media and Entertainment Industry and complete Art and Culture Fraternity of India to congratulate H.E. Hector Gonzalo Cueva Ambassador of Ecuador to India and people of Ecuador on their Independence Day which falls on 10th August,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry & Chairman Marwah Studios.”

“Indo Ecuadorian Media And Culture Association’ was suggested by H.E. Mentor Villagomez, Ambassador of The Republic of Ecuador to India. The formation brought Embassy of Ecuador and ICMEI close to each other. Later Asian Academy of Marwah Studios along with AAFTian Srishti Kaur a former Miss Universe Teen 2017 sponsored Bhavna Jain who brought Miss Teen Earth crown for India at Miss Teen Earth 2018 pageant from Ecuador added lots of colour to the association and its activities,” added Marwah.
