New Delhi, August 17, 2025: On the occasion of the Independence Day of Gabon, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI, extended his warmest congratulations to H.E. Serge Thierry Mandoukou Ombegue, Chargé d’Affaires, Embassy of Gabon, and to the people of Gabon.

“Gabon is a valued partner in our journey of cultural exchange, creativity, and global cooperation. We are proud to be associated with the Embassy of Gabon in nurturing stronger people-to-people ties between our two nations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

The Indo-Gabon Film and Cultural Forum, established under ICMEI, has been actively participating in every major international event organized at Marwah Studios. From the Global Literary Festival, Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Fashion and Design Week, International Documentary Film Festival, International Festival of Cellphone Cinema, Food Festival, to the Short Films Festival, Gabon has been a consistent and celebrated partner.

Dr. Marwah emphasized that such collaborations not only promote cinema, fashion, literature, and media but also bring nations closer through cultural diplomacy. “We look forward to many more vibrant associations with Gabon in the coming years,” he added.

Noida, 17th August 2024 – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extends its warm congratulations to Ms. Josephine Patricia Ntyam Ehya, Chargé d’Affaires of Gabon in India, and the people of Gabon on the auspicious occasion of their Independence Day.

Patricia Ntyam Ehya Nominated Patron to Indo Gabon Cultural Forum

New Delhi: “We are honoured to present the Patronship of Indo Gabon Film and Cultural Forum to Patricia Ntyam Ehya Charge d’ Affairs Embassy of Gabon in India  to guide us and support us in promoting this organisation so that large activities can be planned to highlight this beautiful country Gabon within the people of Republic of India,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and Chair for Indo Gabon Film and Cultural Forum.

“We have full trust in this organisation. We had wonderful opportunity to visit the international headquarters of ICMEI in Noida Film City and part of few popular festivals like Global Fashion Week. I will give my best to nourish this relation to a new level,” expressed Patricia Ntyam Ehya Charge d’ Affaires of Gabon in India.

ICMEI AND EMBASSY OF GABON IN INDIA WILL WORK TOGETHER


                              MOU Signing Ceremony with ICMEI at Embassy of Gabon in India


New Delhi: A MOU was signed between the Embassy of Gabon in India and ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry on Wednesday, the 15th December 2021 to develop and promote relations between the two countries India and Gabon through art and culture.

“We have wonderful relations with Republic of India and now we are very keen in developing our relations with the India in soft power including films, television, media, art, culture, education, tourism. Signing MOU with ICMEI is the first major step in series,” said Patricia Ntyam Ehya Charge d’ Affairs Embassy of Gabon in India.

“It is a matter of great pride for all of us at ICMEI to be the part of this historical moment of MOU signing ceremony between two countries India and Gabon. We will leave no stone unturned to make this MOU a vibrant one and action packed exercise,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

The MOU consists of large number of activities related to films, television, media, education, tourism, art, culture, fashion, etc. through workshops, seminars, festivals, interactions, visits etc.

Later Sandeep Marwah honoured Patricia Ntyam Ehya with the patronship of Indo Gabon Film and Cultural Forum. The Embassy also appreciated Sandeep Marwah’s untiring efforts in promoting relation between two countries. The Cultural Counsellor of Embassy of Gabon Serge Thierry Mandookou Ombegue and Director ICMEI Rajiv Mathur were also present there.

New Delhi: New Delhi: “I take this wonderful opportunity on behalf of ICMEI, Media and Entertainment Industry and complete Art and Culture Fraternity of India to congratulate Madam Josephine Patricia Ntyam Ehya Charge d’ Affairs Embassy of Gabon in India and people of Gabon on their Independence Day which falls on 17th August,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry & Chairman Marwah Studios.”

Indo Gabon Film And Cultural Forum was created few years back to bring the people of two countries close to each other through art and culture. ICMEI and Embassy of Gabon in India  have been creating wonderful events to create awareness about this strong bond between two countries.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah was earlier nominated by the Ambassador as the Chair of the forum whereas the President of the Country of Gabon also congratulated  Dr Marwah on this appointment. “ We are putting our best to addon to all that what we have already done for this organisation. We have already allotted slots to programs from Gabon for radio stations and television station recently,” added Marwah.

Webinar by Indo Gabon Cultural Forum of ICMEI

The Charge d Affairs, Embassy of Gabon in India, Ms. Josephine Patricia NTYAM EHYA, participated in a webinar organized by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and the Indo Gabon Cultural Forum to discuss about the Indo Gabon relations and the situation of Covid 19 in her country.

 Ms. Ehya praised the President of Gabon H E Ali Bongo Ondimba for controlling the cases of Corona in Gabon as well as all the ministries of her country who had played a major role during the pandemic. She informed that sampling is being done at a large scale and measures to maintain social distancing are being strictly adhered. Ads in media are being shown at regular intervals and usage of masks has been made compulsory. Sanitization at all the offices, airports, malls and other public places is being done on a regular basis.

Talking about the business in Gabon the Charge d Affairs said that entrepreneurs are coming up and we are very pleased that new business houses are coming up in Gabon. Around 800 Indians are staying in Gabon and are associated with various industries. Indian firms like Bharti Airtel, Oil India Ltd., Ramky Infrastucture Ltd. and M3M India Limited are a few organizations, which are already working in Gabon. She pointed out that obtaining Visa for Gabon has been very much simplified; one way is to get the visa online and secondly if you have an invitation letter the Visa will be provided at the airport on arrival.

Replying to queries raised by the audience she mentioned that presently imports are higher but we are looking forward to increase exports of commodities palm oil, wooden articles and agriculture and they look forward to getting new techniques of agriculture from India. Regarding the film industry she stated that the films are made in French although a small film industry many films have been nominated and screened in various festivals across the world. She also offered Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President ICMEI to have an MOU with IGIS (INSTITUT GABONAIS DE L'IMAGE ET DU SON) for cooperation in the broadcasting sector.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah thanked the Charge d Affairs, who was accompanied by Mr. Serge Thierry MANDOUKU OMBEGUE the Cultural Counsellor, for accepting his invitation to attend the webinar. Mr. Ashok Tyagi, Secretary General ICMEI paid the formal vote of thanks.

 New Delhi: H.E. Desire Koumba Ambassador Extraordinary & Plenipotentiary of Gabon to India congratulated and expressed his warm welcome to Dr. Sandeep Marwah  on being nominated by Government as Chancellor of AAFT University.

“I on behalf of the Government of Gabon extend my heartiest congratulation on this powerful and responsible designation bestowed upon you by your government. I invite you to my country to visit for yourself and see the love and respect we have for Indians. Your visit will be a state visit,” said H.E. Desire Koumba Ambassador of Gabon.

“I am touched and humbled by your graceful gesture. I hereby accept to visit Gabon as State Guest. My services towards Indo Gabon relations will continue in much bigger way,” thanked Dr. Marwah who was invited at the Embassy for felicitation.

The Government of Gabon earlier nominated Dr. Marwah as the Chairperson of Indo Gabon Film And Cultural Forum in India.
