ICMEI Congratulates the High Commissioner and People of Guyana on Independence Day

New Delhi, India: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended its warmest congratulations to H.E. Dharamkumar Seeraj, High Commissioner of the Guyana, and the people of Guyana on the joyous occasion of the country’s Independence Day, celebrated on 26th May.

On behalf of ICMEI and the Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Forum and President of ICMEI, conveyed his heartfelt greetings and best wishes for peace, prosperity, and continued progress to the friendly nation of Guyana.

“Guyana’s Independence Day is a proud reminder of the nation’s remarkable journey, rich cultural heritage, and its commitment to democratic values and sustainable development. We extend our sincere congratulations to H.E. Dharamkumar Seeraj and the people of Guyana on this important national occasion,” said Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Marwah further emphasized the growing friendship and cooperation between India and Guyana, particularly in the fields of culture, education, media, and people-to-people exchanges. He noted that the Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum has been actively working to strengthen cultural diplomacy and foster greater understanding between the two nations through various artistic and creative initiatives.

ICMEI Congratulates the People of Guyana on Their Republic Day

Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the visionary leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, celebrated the Republic Day of Guyana with great enthusiasm at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. The event reinforced the strong cultural and diplomatic relations between India and Guyana, emphasizing the significance of media, cinema, and art in fostering international cooperation and unity.

On this momentous occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Charge d’ Affaires Ronalda Edwards Horatio and the people of Guyana on the Republic Day of Guyana, celebrated on 23rd February.

Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with the Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum, proudly extends its warmest congratulations to the people of Guyana on the occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on 25th May. The heartfelt sentiments were conveyed during a solemn event held at the Global Headquarters of ICMEI at Marwah Studios in Film City, Noida.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair for the Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum, led the celebrations and shared his congratulatory message. “On behalf of ICMEI and the entire fraternity of Art and Culture, I take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. AAFT Scholarship for Guyana Student

New Delhi: Not very long ago we created Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum to develop and promote relation between the people of two countries. We are thankful to H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to accept the patronship for the forum and nominating me as the Chair for the same. The cultural forum has picked very well,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios   and Chair for IGFCF.

As per our understanding we have handed over the AAFT scholarship for a short-term course in creative arts for the deserving student from Guyana to the High Commissioner. This scholarship also includes boarding and lodging for the educational period of approximately three months. Informed Rajiv Mathur Director ICMEI inviting High Commissioner to 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022.

“I am thankful to AAFT-Asian Academy of Film and Television and ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry for this wonderful gesture of sectioning scholarship. I am sure this will enhance the relation between the two countries,” said H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India.

Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum Created at ICMEI

Indo Guyana Film And Cultural Forum Launched at Marwah Studios

Noida: A new cultural committee under the name and banner of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum was created on the auspicious day of 10th March -the foundation Day of Marwah Studios, by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in association with High Commission of Guyana in India.

“This is much needed here to promote the art and culture of Guyana in India and Indian culture back in Guyana. We were looking for an association and nothing can be better than ICMEI,” said H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India while releasing the first poster of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum.

“We are very excited with the formation of new forum with the support of High Commission of Guyana in India. The people from the country of Guyana had been coming and attending our international conventions earlier also, where we learned that much more can be added after the formal launching of cultural forum and tie ups,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum and H.E. Charrandass Persaud was presented with the patronship of the forum. A formal MOU will be signed in due course of time. The event was witnessed by H.E. Dr. Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad & Tobago to India and Ria A Sital Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Suriname in India.

New Delhi: H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India has been kind enough to accept the Patronship of newly formed organisation Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in association with High Commission of Guyana in India.

“We are charged with new energy on the formation of Indo Guyana Films and Cultural Forum and acceptance of Patronship of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum by H.E. Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India. Under his leadership we will be able to bring better results a far as relation of two countries are concerned,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

H.E. Charrandass Persaud is a Canadian-Guyanese lawyer and politician, who is Guyana’s High Commissioner to India since March 2021. He was a member of the Guyanese National Assembly  from 2015 to 2018, representing the Alliance for Change  party in the East Berbice-Corentyne region

New Delhi: “We feel honored in nominating Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry as the Chair of Indo Guyana Film and Cultural Forum, a newly constituted committee in the Chamber to promote and develop relation between the two countries,” said H. E.  Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India while presenting certificate of chairmanship to Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah Seven times World Record Holder is the Founder of Noida Film City,  Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts nominated by the Governor of Chhattisgarh, Government of Chhattisgarh. He is also the  National Chairman of Media and Entertainment Committee of BIS, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Government of India, He has recently been taken on the board of AICTE-Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah  has been elected unopposed President of CEGR- Centre for Education Growth and Research- A National think tank on  higher education. He is also on the board of Film Federation of India an Apex body of film and Television of the country.

“I am thankful to H.E. Charrandas Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India for the trust in me and believe in our working. I will leave no stone unturned to develop the relation between two countries India and Guyana to a higher platform,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

ICMEI Congratulated on National Day of Guyana

New Delhi: “I on behalf of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry and Art & Culture Fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E.  Charrandass Persaud High Commissioner of Guyana to India and people of Guyana on their Independence Day falls on 26th May,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

It was way back in 2011 during the World Peace Conference When Dr. Sandeep Marwah met H E Hamilton Green Former Prime Minister Guyana in Seoul, South Korea ,it was decided to create a body to develop and promote relation between two countries through art and culture. Later delegates from Guyana attended many International summits at Marwah Studios in Noida Film City including Global Cultural Summit, Global Peace Summit and Global Literary Festival.

It is important to remember that both the countries India and Guyana were once part of the British Empire . There are approximately 327,000 Guyanese citizens who are of Indian descent.  Indi Guyanese make up the largest ethnic group in Guyana.
