ICMEI Extends Heartiest Congratulations to Malta on Its National Day

Noida, India: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), on behalf of the media and entertainment industry and the art and culture fraternity of India, extended his heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Reuben Gauci, High Commissioner of Malta, and to the people of Malta on the occasion of their National Day, celebrated on 13th December.

Dr. Marwah, who also serves as Chair for the Indo–Malta Film and Cultural Forum, stated that ICMEI has already initiated meaningful engagement and cooperation with Malta in the fields of cinema, media, and culture. He emphasized that while the groundwork has been laid from the Indian side, greater support and active participation from Malta would further strengthen these initiatives.

“We need to do more together,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, highlighting the immense potential for collaboration through art and culture to deepen people-to-people relations and enhance bilateral ties between India and Malta.

Dr. Marwah expressed optimism that the Indo–Malta Film and Cultural Forum would soon witness expanded activities, exchanges, and joint projects, contributing to stronger cultural diplomacy and long-term cooperation between the two nations.

New DelhiAugust 2, 2025: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair of the Indo-Malta Film and Cultural Forum, had the pleasure of meeting Manuel Cutajar, the celebrated actor from Malta known internationally for his powerful performances in films like Helen of Troy,” “Queen of the South,” and “Roses in the Nordic Countries.”

The meeting took place in the presence of H.E. Reuben Gauci, Ambassador of Malta to India, and focused on enhancing cultural and cinematic cooperation between India and Malta.

Dr. Marwah extended a formal invitation to Manuel Cutajar to visit Marwah Studios and explore collaborative opportunities with ICMEI and the Indo-Malta Film and Cultural Forum. He also shared the vision and achievements of Noida Film City, home to over 300 broadcasting channels and a vibrant ecosystem of media professionals.

Ambassador Reuben Gauci expressed his appreciation for the growing cultural partnership between the two countries and lauded the initiatives taken by ICMEI in promoting Malta through film and media.

New Delhi: Celebrating six decades of enduring friendship and diplomatic ties between India and Malta, the Embassy of Malta in India hosted a special screening of the powerful historical film “Blood on the Crown” at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), was invited as a distinguished guest at the prestigious event.
