New Delhi, 9 July 2025 :The Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) proudly extends its warmest congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Namibia on the landmark visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.

In a moment of great diplomatic and historical significance, Prime Minister Modi was conferred with Namibia’s highest civilian honour, the “Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis”, by H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of Namibia, in a grand ceremony held in Windhoek. The award stands as a profound symbol of appreciation for Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership and his pivotal role in deepening India-Namibia relations.

“This is a defining moment in the history of India–Namibia friendship. The conferral of Namibia’s highest civilian honour on Prime Minister Modi not only marks the strength of our bilateral ties but also reflects the spirit of mutual respect and collaboration between our two nations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum.

He further added, “This historic visit—being the first by Prime Minister Modi and only the third-ever prime ministerial visit from India to Namibia—opens new avenues for cooperation in the fields of culture, education, media, renewable energy, and people-to-people connect. The Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum is committed to being a vibrant cultural bridge between our two great nations, fostering collaboration through cinema, arts, and creative expression.”

The Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum, under the patronage of ICMEI, has continuously promoted cultural diplomacy through joint film screenings, cultural exchanges, educational collaborations, and creative industry partnerships. Noida:  In a momentous event, Dr. Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair for the Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum. His Excellency Gabriel P. Sinimbo, High Commissioner of Namibia to India, presented the certificate to Dr. Marwah during his visit to the international headquarters of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) at Noida Film City.

His Excellency expressed his confidence in Dr. Marwah’s leadership, stating, “It is a proud moment for all of us to nominate Dr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair for the Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum. I am sure that this forum under the ICMEI will grow rapidly and yield significant results in a short period.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, an eminent figure in the media and entertainment industry, responded with gratitude and commitment. “I am thankful to His Excellency for this gesture. Dr. Marwah is a distinguished individual with a remarkable career. He is the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, and the Asian Academy of Film and Television. He also serves as the founding Chancellor of AAFT University and the founding President of ICMEI. Dr. Marwah holds nine world records and is highly decorated in the Republic of India. He is a board member of various ministries, including the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Skill Development, and Ministry of Sports and Youth.

This appointment marks a significant milestone in the cultural and educational collaboration between India and Namibia, promising to foster deeper ties and mutual growth.

Indo Namibia Cultural Forum Presents Scholarship to Deserving Namibian Student

Noida: In a significant step towards fostering international cultural and educational ties, the Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the High Commission of Namibia, presented a scholarship to a deserving student from Namibia. The scholarship, offered by AAFT University, covers a short-term course of the student’s choice, including boarding and lodging for three months in India.

“We are proud to be associated with the High Commission of Namibia and to establish this powerful organization of Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum under the patronage of His Excellency Gabriel P. Sinimbo, High Commissioner of Namibia to India,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

This initiative is part of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry’s ongoing international programs. It aims to enhance cultural exchange and provide educational opportunities to talented individuals from Namibia.

Noida: The Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum is honored to announce that His Excellency Gabriel P. Sinimbo, High Commissioner of Namibia to India, has graciously accepted the role of Patron for the newly established forum. This appointment was spearheaded by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI).

Under the patronage of H.E. Sinimbo, the forum is set to enhance the cultural and artistic relations between the peoples of India and Namibia. “The Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum is a pivotal establishment that will drive the promotion and development of our bilateral relations through the vibrant mediums of art and culture,” stated Dr. Marwah.

H.E. Sinimbo, who also serves as the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, is concurrently accredited to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, with a diplomatic seat in New Delhi. His extensive experience and esteemed position will undoubtedly propel the Indo-Namibia relations to new heights.

Noida:— The Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum was officially launched during the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024. The event, held in Noida, was graced by the presence of His Excellency Gabriel P. Sinimbo, High Commissioner of Namibia, alongside Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia, and His Excellency Javier Paulinich, Ambassador of Peru, as well as a diverse international audience.

This new forum aims to foster deeper cultural and artistic ties between India and Namibia, enhancing mutual understanding through a rich exchange of cultural and artistic expressions. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a renowned international media personality and President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), emphasized the significance of this cultural bridge in strengthening bilateral relationships.

Gabriel Sinimbo High Commissioner of Namibia to India and the people of Namibia on the Independence Day falls on 21th March,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry at International Headquarters at Noida Film City.

“We are happy as Namibia has been taking part in our most of the international summits, we have been organizing from time to time. Though we have already created a committee on Namibia under ICMEI yet to explore more possibilities in films, art, and culture. Very soon we will be formally open the chapter for more interactions,” added Marwah congratulating Namibians at Marwah Studios.
