ICMEI Extends Greetings to Switzerland on National Day

Noida, 1st August — The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland to India, and to the people of Switzerland on the occasion of their National Day, celebrated on 1st August each year.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, expressed warm wishes and acknowledged the enduring friendship between India and Switzerland. “Over the years, my visits to Switzerland have not only strengthened my personal connections but have also enhanced ties with the Swiss people and the business community,” said Dr. Marwah.

Highlighting the cultural collaboration between the two nations, Dr. Marwah emphasized the importance of the Indo-Switzerland Film and Cultural Forum. “This platform deserves greater encouragement to further promote cultural exchange, people-to-people contact, and business synergies between our countries,” he added.

The ICMEI reaffirmed its commitment to fostering mutual understanding and cooperation through arts, cinema, media, and culture, thereby contributing to the strengthening of Indo-Swiss relations.

Noida, [Date]: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended warm congratulations to H.E. Dr. Ralf Heckner, Ambassador of Switzerland to India, and the people of Switzerland on the occasion of Switzerland’s National Day, which falls on 1st August. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, expressed his best wishes on behalf of the entire Indian art and culture fraternity.

“India and Switzerland share a wonderful bond that has been nurtured over the years through mutual respect and collaboration. Berne: Renowned media personality of India Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts was invited by H.E. Monika Kapil Mohta Ambassador of India to Switzerland on his official visit to Zurich on the celebration of Bharat Mahotsav- 75 Years of India’s Independence.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah informed Ambassador about the first film University of the country under the name and banner of AAFT University of Media and Arts at Raipur India and offered Scholarship to the deserving student from Switzerland to learn in India. He also showed interest to collaborate with schools of Hospitality and tourism from Switzerland.

Dr. Marwah extended his ideas of opening an Indo Swiss Film and Cultural Forum under the established International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry to develop and promote relation between two countries through art and culture. H.E. Monika Mohta also gave many new ideas related to films, television and media industry which can be part and parcel of this forum. Dr. Madhup Mohta, Reena Marwah, Mahendrasinh C Jadeja and Amar Kavi were also present there.

Zurich: A well know film, television and media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah was honoured in a high profiled event designed to celebrate Bharat Mahotsav influenced by Prime Minister’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at Hotel Hyatt Zurich in Switzerland organised by Delhi based Ngo Confluence.

“Sandeep Marwah, seven times World Record Holder, is the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, Asian Academy of Film and Television. He is the producer of largest number of meaning full- short films. He is also teacher to 20,000 media professionals from 145 countries of the World and is instrument in attracting 3 million people to Noida Film City. Dr. Marwah is the cultural representative of many countries in India” the citation read by Simran Ahuja presenter, actor and model.

“The objective of the Zurich event was to promote the brand, Bharat, overseas and to hail the spirit of Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat,” said Smita Srivastava founder and Chairperson of Confluence.

Amitabh Srivastava, KS Kochhar, Rakesh Sonkar, Ruby Bakshi Khurdi, Dr Mickey Mehta, Rina Dhaka, Rahul Sonkar, Parveen Rani, Mahender Singh C Jadeja, Nitin Bhau More, Govind Savale, Acharya Jertu Singh, Dr. Dipak Harke and Dr. Rita Jairath, attended the grand function.  The event was supported by Indo Swiss Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI. 

The entire team of Confluence was overwhelmed on receiving virtual good wishes from  Meenakashi Lekhi Honourable Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture. In her message, she appreciated the initiatives by the NGO in organising cultural, business-oriented and knowledge exchange programmes.
