New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his warmest congratulations to H.E. Christopher Cooter, High Commissioner of Canada to India, and to the Government and the people of Canada on the occasion of Canada Day (National Day), celebrated on 1st July.

Expressing his best wishes, Dr. Marwah said, “Canada Day is a celebration of the country’s rich heritage, diversity, democratic values, and remarkable achievements. On behalf of ICMEI and the entire fraternity of media and arts, I extend my heartfelt greetings to the people of Canada and wish them continued peace, prosperity, and progress.”

Dr. Marwah further emphasized that India and Canada have long shared strong people-to-people ties, with art, culture, education, and cinema serving as important bridges between the two nations. He informed that ICMEI has established a dedicated Canada Chapter, and several cultural and media initiatives are being planned to further strengthen bilateral relations.

“The Indo Canada Film and Cultural Forum has been playing an active role in promoting friendship through films, cultural exchanges, educational collaborations, and creative partnerships. We believe much more can be achieved through sustained cultural diplomacy, and ICMEI remains committed to expanding these efforts in the years ahead,” Dr. Sandeep Marwah added.
