Sandeep Marwah Meets Ambassador of Estonia to Advance Art and Cultural Cooperation

New Delhi, India: A warm and constructive meeting took place between Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of ICMEI, and H.E. Marje Luup, Ambassador of Estonia to India, at the Embassy of Estonia in New Delhi. The interaction focused on expanding cultural, creative, and academic cooperation between India and Estonia.

During the meeting, H.E. Marje Luup expressed her appreciation for the longstanding efforts of Marwah Studios and ICMEI in promoting international cultural diplomacy. She highlighted the potential for deeper collaboration between the two nations in areas such as art, film, media education, and people-to-people exchange. She emphasized that shared creativity can pave the way for stronger bilateral understanding.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah briefed Her Excellency on the wide spectrum of activities undertaken by ICMEI, Marwah Studios, and AAFT, including international festivals, cultural forums, global education initiatives, and artistic collaborations with over 90 countries. He reiterated his commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships that bring India and Estonia closer through creative platforms.

As a gesture of respect and goodwill, Dr. Marwah presented two of his books—Accomplishments and Accolades—to Ambassador Luup, offering her an insight into his extensive contributions to media, art, and cultural diplomacy.

The meeting concluded with a mutual interest in exploring joint initiatives, student exchange opportunities, and collaborative programs that would further strengthen Indo–Estonian relations through art, culture, and innovation.

Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, proudly commemorated the Independence Day of Estonia with a vibrant celebration at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. The event highlighted the deepening cultural and diplomatic relations between India and Estonia, emphasizing the significance of media, cinema, and cultural exchange in fostering global partnerships.

Noida, August 20, 2024: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extends its warmest congratulations to the people of Estonia on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of Independence. Dr. Marwah conveyed heartfelt greetings to H.E. Marje Luup, Ambassador of Estonia to India, and expressed ICMEI’s profound admiration for Estonia’s journey towards independence and its remarkable achievements since.

ICMEI Congratulated People of Estonia on Independence Day

New Delhi: New Delhi: “I take this wonderful opportunity on behalf of ICMEI, Media and Entertainment Industry and complete Art and Culture Fraternity of India to congratulate H.E. Katrin Kivi Ambassador of Estonia to India and people of Estonia on their Independence Day which falls on 20th August,” said Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry & Chairman Marwah Studios.

Estonia–India relations refers to the bilateral diplomatic relations  between Estonia and India. India first recognised Estonia on 22 September 1921 when the former had just acquired membership in the League of Nations. India re-recognised Estonia on 9 September 1991 and diplomatic relations were established on 2 December of the same year in Helsinki. Estonia is represented in India by its embassy in New Delhi  and its honorary consulate in Mumbai.  India is represented in Estonia through its embassy in Helsinki and through an honorary consulate in Tallinn.

AAFT Celebrated National Day at Marwah Studios
Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry extends congratulations to the people of Estonia on the National day of Estonia, which falls on 24th February.

“We all extend our best wishes to the people of Estonia on their national day. We wish India and Estonia should do great business in the coming years,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while releasing the poster on national day to mark respect to the auspicious day.

The first person from Estonia to visit India at the end of the 17th century was the cleric Eberhard Eckhold (Eckholz) who was born in Tallinn and had studied in the Academia Gustaviana of Tartu.

The first Estonian textbooks to mention India were written by Georg Gottfried Marpurg (1805) and Karl Ernst Berg (1811). The first Estonian publication to arrive in India was Pühhapäiwa Wahhe-luggemissed of Otto Wilhelm Masing (1818). The book contained a hundred-page description of the nature and society of India. Sanskrit language publications were printed at the University of Tartu.
