Dr. Sandeep Marwah Nominated Chair of Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum by Mozambique High Commissioner

New Delhi: In a significant step towards strengthening cultural and cinematic relations between India and Mozambique, H.E. Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique to India, formally nominated Dr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum during a graceful ceremony held at the High Commission of Mozambique, New Delhi.

The nomination recognizes Dr. Marwah’s outstanding contribution to international cultural diplomacy and his relentless efforts in promoting global understanding through cinema, media, art, education, and cultural exchange.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior said, “Dr. Sandeep Marwah has made an extraordinary contribution in bringing nations together through art and culture. His leadership and global network have successfully created meaningful platforms for international cooperation. We are pleased to nominate him as Chair of the Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum and are confident that under his guidance, the Forum will play a vital role in further strengthening the friendship between Mozambique and India.”

Accepting the nomination, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), expressed his gratitude to the High Commissioner for the confidence reposed in him.

“I am deeply honoured to accept this responsibility and sincerely thank His Excellency Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior for this prestigious nomination. The Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum will work with dedication to enhance bilateral cooperation through films, television, media, performing arts, literature, education, tourism, fashion, and cultural exchange. The Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum, an initiative of ICMEI, has been established to encourage collaboration between India and Mozambique through film festivals, cultural festivals, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, academic exchanges, business networking, media interactions, and artistic collaborations. The Forum aims to provide a dynamic platform for filmmakers, artists, students, academicians, and creative professionals from both countries.

The nomination of Dr. Sandeep Marwah as Chair further reinforces the shared commitment of India and Mozambique to promoting friendship, mutual respect, and international cooperation through cultural diplomacy.

New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) conferred the prestigious Patronship of the Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum upon H.E. Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique to India, during a special ceremony held at the High Commission of Mozambique, New Delhi.

The Patronship was presented by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI, in recognition of His Excellency’s commitment to strengthening the friendly relations between India and Mozambique through art, culture, cinema, media, and education.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “It is a matter of great pride to present the Patronship of the Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum to His Excellency Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior. New Delhi: A new chapter in cultural diplomacy between India and Mozambique was written with the formal launch of the Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum, an initiative of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI). The Forum was inaugurated during a gracious ceremony at the High Commission of Mozambique, New Delhi, by H.E. Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mozambique to India.

Addressing the gathering, H.E. Mr. Armando Pedro Muiuane Junior expressed his appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of cultural exchanges in strengthening the longstanding friendship between India and Mozambique. He noted that cinema, art, music, literature, and cultural collaborations serve as powerful instruments to bring people closer, deepen mutual understanding, and create lasting partnerships between the two nations. He welcomed the establishment of the Forum and expressed confidence that it would open new avenues for cooperation in the creative industries.

He further informed that the Forum will organize film festivals, cultural festivals, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, business networking sessions, educational exchanges, media interactions, and delegations to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote greater awareness of the rich cultural heritage of both countries. The launch ceremony was attended by distinguished diplomats members and representatives of ICMEI.

The establishment of the Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum further reinforces ICMEI’s commitment to building global partnerships through art and culture and adds another vibrant chapter to its network of international film and cultural forums dedicated to fostering peace, friendship, and mutual understanding among nations.

ICMEI Celebrates Independence Day of Mozambique at Marwah Studios

Noida, 25th June 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) celebrated the Independence Day of the Republic of Mozambique with great enthusiasm and respect at Marwah Studios, Noida. The celebration marked another significant step in strengthening bilateral cultural ties between India and Mozambique.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and President of ICMEI, extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Ermindo Augusto Ferreira, High Commissioner of Mozambique to India, and the warm and vibrant people of Mozambique on the joyous occasion of their Independence Day, observed annually on 25th June.

“India and Mozambique share a strong and cordial relationship, and we at ICMEI are deeply committed to enhancing people-to-people and cultural connections between our two great nations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah. “The Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum, functioning under ICMEI, is actively working on several cultural, cinematic, and educational initiatives to foster better understanding and collaboration between our communities.”

The committee at ICMEI is currently designing a series of engaging programs, workshops, and cultural exchanges to celebrate Mozambique’s rich heritage and promote mutual appreciation through art, cinema, and media. These initiatives aim to build lasting bridges and further strengthen the diplomatic and cultural bond between India and Mozambique.

ICMEI Celebrated National Day of Mozambique

Indo Mozambique Film And Cultural Forum Celebrated Independence Day at ICMEI

New Delhi: “I on behalf of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry and Art & Culture Fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Ermindo Augusto Ferriera High Commissioner of Mozambique  to India and people of Mozambique on the occasion of Independence Day which falls on 25th June,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrating the day at Chamber.

It was way back in 2015 when H.E. Jose Maria Morais High Commissioner of Republic of Mozambique in India visited International Headquarters of ICMEI and a committee on Mozambique under the name and banner of Indo Mozambique Film and Cultural Forum was announced.

“After the visit of High Commissioner, we have been lucky enough to invite officials and many delegates from Mozambique have been attending different International Summits organised by ICMEI from time to time. We want to take our relations with Mozambique to new heights through art and culture,” added Dr. Marwah.
