Renowned Laughter Yoga Master Piya Uppal from Canada Visits Marwah Studios

Noida, India: The spirit of wellness and positivity came alive at Marwah Studios with the gracious visit of Piya Uppal from Canada, an internationally recognized Master of Laughter Yoga. Her visit highlighted the growing importance of holistic well-being, mental health, and positive living in today’s fast-paced world.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, President of Marwah Studios, and Chair of the Indo Canada Film and Cultural Forum, warmly welcomed Piya Uppal and engaged in meaningful discussions on the transformative power of laughter, yoga, and mindfulness in promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah also President of Prithvi Yoga Centre, emphasized that laughter is a universal language capable of bringing people together beyond geographical and cultural boundaries. 125 Trees Planted to Commemorate the 125th Batch of AAFT on International Day of Yoga

Noida, 21st June 2025: In a meaningful tribute to the 125th historic batch of AAFT, the AAFT School of Health and Wellness in collaboration with the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism organized a special tree plantation drive on the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga.

A total of 125 trees were planted across the green zones of Noida to symbolize growth, sustainability, and the institution’s deep-rooted commitment to environmental and holistic well-being.

The drive was graced by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University, who personally installed the 125th tree, marking a symbolic end to the green initiative.

“This plantation drive is not just a celebration of our academic milestone but also a message of harmony between humanity and nature. Yoga teaches us balance, and this initiative reflects our alignment with that principle,” said Dr. Marwah.

He congratulated the faculty, students, and administration of both schools for their active participation and applauded their consistent efforts in promoting environmental consciousness and wellness education.

New Delhi, 21st June 2025: In a momentous gathering on the occasion of the 11th International Day of Yoga, renowned media personality and educationist Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University, delivered an inspiring keynote address to a distinguished audience of over 1500 Chartered Accountants from across India at the iconic Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Organized by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the event was a unique confluence of yoga, leadership, and professional excellence, highlighting the role of wellness and self-reliance in modern India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, known for his contributions to media, education, and cultural diplomacy, passionately spoke on the relevance of yoga in achieving holistic success. Asian Unity Alliance Promoted International Yoga Day

New Delhi: The International President of Asian Unity Alliance Dr. Sandeep Marwah congratulated and extended thanks to each and every Asian Country for celebrating and observing 21st June as International Yoga Day while talking to the media students and media professionals in a meeting at Prithvi Yoga Centre at Marwah Studios.

The International Day of yoga has been celebrated annually on 21st June  since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly  in 2014. Yoga is a Physical mental and spiritual practice which  originated in India. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his UN address suggested the date of 21 June, as it is the longest day of the year  in the Northern Hemisphere and shares a special significance in many parts of the world

Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature a holistic approach to health and well-being said Marwah.

The event was supported by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, Koshish-Sahyog and WPDRF-World Peace Development And Research Foundation.

New Delhi: Prithvi Yoga Centre at World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Marwah Studios is known to every one from last 27 years. Large number of activities have taken place touching yoga and spirituality enhancing the level of education at Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“A new chapter of Yoga was created with the first batch of AAFT way back in 1993 when we launched Prithvi Yoga Centre at AAFT- the first private film school of the country. We realized that the concentration is a very important part of creative business along with good health to sustain in film television and media business,” introduced Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios, his involvement with Yoga, while talking to the people and press on World Yoga Day falls on 21st June 2021.  

“we have been able to train 19000 students in Yoga in a span of 27 years hailing from 145 countries of the World. It was in 1993 we produced one of the first television serial on Yoga consisting of 26 episodes-YOG CHAYA-Yoga for Health for DD International which was broadcasted and repeated for 30 times in early years. Yoga Guru Sardari Lal Sehgal conducted the program and students of first and second batch of AAFT participated in the show,” recollected Dr. Marwah

Now more than ten years we have been propagating yoga on our radio station Radio Noida and TV station MSTV making people aware of the benefits of the one of the oldest human science. Now same programs are also broadcasted on Radio Raipur.

Workshops, Seminars, symposiums, interactions, talks, exhibitions, competitions, book releases and performances are just the routine at Prithvi Yoga Centre at Marwah Studios. The fact is we have been celebrating World Yoga Day at Prithvi Yoga Centre of Marwah Studios from last 27 years, that is 21st June happens to be the longest day of the year. PYC Prithvi Yoga Centre has also been supporting large number of organizations dealing in Yoga.

AAFT Chancellor Spoke About International Yoga Day


New Delhi: While the social distancing measures adopted by countries to fight the COVID-19 pandemic have shut down yoga studios and other communal spaces, yoga practitioners have turned to home practice and online yoga resources.

“Yoga is a powerful tool to deal with the stress of uncertainty and isolation, as well as to maintain physical well-being. Many yoga gurus offer yoga resources to its personnel and others on the portal's on Wellness. The World Health Organization mentions yoga as a means to improve health in its Global action plan,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University of Media And Arts in a program to celebrate International Yoga Day.

“With schools closed and summer break activities cancelled, parents may find it challenging to keep their children physically active. Yoga can help. It is proved that kids can practice many yoga poses without any risk and get the same benefits that adults do. These benefits include increased flexibility and fitness, mindfulness and relaxation,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah also Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nation Associations.

Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. Today it is practiced in various forms around the world and continues to grow in popularity.

Yoga cultivates the ways of maintaining a balanced attitude in day-to-day life and endows skill in the performance of one’s actions. WPDRF- World Peace Development And Research Foundation supported the event.
