Noida, 25th May 2025: The second and third sessions of the thought-provoking summit titled “Creative Futures, Legal Boundaries: Understanding the Law Behind Media, Art & Digital Expression” were successfully organized at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City, under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in collaboration with Cyber Humane.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, in his address, emphasized, “In the evolving landscape of media and digital innovation, legal awareness is not just a safeguard—it is an empowering tool. It is imperative for every content creator and future media professional to understand the legal framework that shapes and protects creative expression.”

These sessions witnessed the participation of eminent legal minds, academicians, and industry experts who shared valuable insights on pressing legal, ethical, and technological challenges facing today’s creative and digital communities.

Distinguished speakers included: Advocate Mahak Rathi, High Court of Delhi – Spoke on the importance of regulatory awareness in content creation. Advocate Manisha Pandey, Supreme Court of India – Addressed the intersection of freedom of expression and digital accountability. Niharika Safaya, Entrepreneur and Artist – Shared a creator’s perspective on copyright and content rights. Dr. Navtika Singh Nautiyal, NFSU, Delhi – Highlighted the legal implications of cyber behavior and digital footprints. Dr. Deevanshu Shrivastava, Founding Dean, GL Bajaj Institute of Law – Spoke about legal education’s role in empowering media professionals. Adv. Rohit Jolly, Associate Partner, Hammurabi & Solomon Partners – Discussed media contracts and digital dispute resolution.

Also who spoke inluded Dr. Deepika Saini, Legal Advisor, AAFT – Anchored the sessions and provided legal context for student queries. Advocate Subhash Butoria, IP & Art Lawyer, Law SB – Delivered insights into intellectual property and artist rights. Dr. Neha Gawri, Technology Lawyer, Accenture – Talked about tech-driven risks in digital publishing and AI-generated content. Dr. Nizam Ashraf Khan, Associate Professor, GD Goenka University – Addressed privacy rights and content surveillance. Adv. Devyani Nath, Managing Associate, Fidus Law Chambers – Focused on data protection and online defamation laws. Dr. Shaiwal Satyarthi, Professor of Law, Delhi University – Offered a deep dive into constitutional protections for creative freedom.

These impactful sessions created a vibrant dialogue between legal authorities and creative minds, aiming to bridge the knowledge gap in legal literacy among media students of AAFT (Asian Academy of Film & Television).

The summit reaffirmed ICMEI and AAFT’s commitment to preparing the next generation of artists, journalists, and content creators with both creative and legal competence.

Noida, 25th May 2025: AAFT in collaboration with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Cyber Humane, successfully organized a high-impact summit titled “Creative Futures, Legal Boundaries: Understanding the Law Behind Media, Art & Digital Expression” at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

This full-day summit served as an eye-opening initiative to educate aspiring media professionals and students on the legal frameworks and challenges governing the world of art, entertainment, and digital expression.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Asian Law College, while inaugurating the event, remarked, “As the boundaries between creativity and technology continue to blur, it is essential for young minds in media and entertainment to understand their legal responsibilities and rights. Through this summit, we aim to build a generation that creates responsibly and with awareness.”

Dr. Prof. Dominique Delporte, President of VerDel Innovations (France), highlighted global perspectives on digital creativity and content ownership. Maya Sherman, Science and Technology Diplomat from Israel, shared insights into Israel’s innovations in digital ethics and legal safeguards. Hon. Justice Rajesh Tandon, High Court Judge, Uttarakhand, provided a judicial lens on media-related litigations and freedom of speech. Dr. Deepika Saini, Legal Advisor and academician, moderated the sessions and underscored the importance of legal literacy for media students.

The summit was specially curated for the students of AAFT, offering them a rare opportunity to engage directly with top legal minds and policymakers.
