Dr. Sandeep Marwah Honored by Delhi Chapter of Public Relations Society of India

Noida: In a grand ceremony held recently, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the visionary founder of Noida Film City, was honored by the Delhi Chapter of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) for his exceptional and tireless contributions to the development of public relations in India.

Dr. Marwah’s monumental efforts have led to significant advancements in the field, including attracting an impressive footfall of ninety million people to Noida and drawing three million visitors from 156 countries to Marwah Studios. His influence extends globally, having welcomed students from 145 countries and hosting over 200 Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and Diplomats at Marwah Studios. Furthermore, seventy-five nations have recognized his efforts by nominating him as their Cultural Ambassador or representative in India.

A nine-time World Record holder, Dr. Marwah’s achievements underscore his dedication to fostering cultural and professional exchange through public relations.

The ceremony saw the presence of distinguished guests including Mr. Vinit Kumar from the Ministry of Railways, Government of India; Prof. Dr. Charulata Singh, Chairperson of Delhi Chapter PRSI; Dr. Archana Kumari, Secretary of Delhi Chapter PRSI; Prof. Dr. Shuchi Yadav from Media Studies at JNU; Ms. Sumita Singh, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Communication at Indian Oil Corporation; and Ms. Harsh Bhargavi Pandiri, Treasurer of Delhi Chapter PRSI.

The Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) was established in 1958 with the aim of promoting the recognition of public relations as a vital profession and to formulate and interpret the objectives and potentialities of public relations as a strategic management function. Initially functioning as an informal body, PRSI was officially registered in 1966 under the Indian Societies Act XXVI of 1961, with its headquarters in Mumbai. The esteemed Kali H. Mody, known as the father-figure of professional PR practitioners in India, served as the founding President of PRSI from 1966 to 1969.

Public Relations Workshop at AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising

Noida: The AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising recently hosted a powerful workshop on Public Relations, featuring esteemed speakers Puja Arora from HCL and Dr. Ajit Pathak, President of the PR Society of India. The event was held at Marwah Film City, Noida, and aimed to provide students with deep insights into the field of Public Relations.

“PR is performance recognition,” stated Dr. Sandeep Marwah while addressing the attendees. He emphasized the importance of PR in today’s dynamic environment and how it serves as a critical tool for performance acknowledgment and brand building.

Puja Arora from HCL shared her extensive experience in corporate communications, explaining various strategies and practices that are crucial for effective public relations. She emphasized the need for innovation and adaptability in the PR industry to keep up with the evolving digital landscape.

Dr. Ajit Pathak, President of the PR Society of India, expressed his views on the current trends and challenges in the PR industry. He highlighted the significance of ethical practices and the role of PR professionals in shaping public opinion and maintaining a positive image for organizations.

The workshop was an interactive session, providing students with the opportunity to engage with the speakers and gain valuable knowledge about real-world PR scenarios. The insights shared by the industry experts were aimed at equipping the students with the skills necessary to excel in their future careers.

Later in the event, Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored and presented the speakers with life membership of the International Film and Television Research Centre of AAFT as a mark of respect and appreciation for their contributions to the field of Public Relations.

The workshop was a significant success, leaving the students inspired and better prepared for their professional journeys in the field of PR and advertising.

New Delhi: Celebrated film, television and media person Dr. Sandeep Marwah is now on the jury of annual awards announced by Public Relation Society of India informed Dr. Ajit Pathak National President of PRSI.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios and Asian Academy of Film & Television. He has been the founder and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, Raipur. Recently he has been nominated as the National Chairman of Media and Entertainment upgradation Committee of BIS, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. He is also president of AAFT School of Public Relation Events and Advertising.

The PRSI National Awards Jury -2021 have other members like   Stuti Narain Kakar  Ex Chairperson National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights,  Sarthak Behuria Ex Chairman SCOPE and Indian Oil,  VM Bansal Chairman New Delhi Institute of Management, Dr Kapil Soni  Professor, Critical Care  AIIMS,  Yeshi Seli Consulting Editor Business India,  and Shishir Sinha Senior Editor The Hindu.
