British Army Delegation Inaugurates Art Exhibition at AAFT During Indo–UK Business Meet

Noida: The AAFT School of Fine Arts, in collaboration with the Indo UK Business Meet, hosted a vibrant Exhibition of Paintings at AAFT, inaugurated by distinguished members of the British Army delegation visiting India. The exhibition showcased an impressive collection of artworks created by students of AAFT, highlighting creativity, cultural expression, and youth talent.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of ICMEI, welcomed the guests and appreciated the artistic brilliance displayed by the students. He said that art serves as a powerful medium of communication across nations, and such exhibitions contribute significantly to strengthening Indo–UK cultural ties. He further added that AAFT has always encouraged young artists to explore global perspectives through creativity and innovation.

Maj. Gen. John Kendall, leading the British Army delegation, expressed admiration for the creativity and depth reflected in the paintings. He said that cultural interactions like these deepen mutual understanding and complement the growing cooperation between India and the United Kingdom, not only in defence but also in art, education, and people-to-people connections.

Dr. Gaurav Hans, representing the BBMG Foundation, congratulated AAFT for curating a meaningful exhibition. He said that platforms like these create opportunities for young artists to gain international exposure and also support the broader vision of collaboration under Indo–UK partnerships.

The exhibition drew enthusiastic appreciation from all dignitaries, reaffirming the role of art in fostering global friendships and strengthening cultural diplomacy.

Noida: In a distinguished ceremony at Marwah Studios, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University, presented the Membership of the Indo UK Film and Cultural Forum along with special Mementos of the Indo UK Free Trade Collaboration Meet to the complete delegation of the British Army visiting India.

The honour was conferred upon Maj. Gen. John Kendall, Dr. Maj. Munish Chauhan, Sunil Chopra (Former Mayor of London), and senior members of the British delegation including: Lt. Col. Alice Archer, Maj. Hina Morjaria, Capt. Kamaldeep Sandhu, WO1 Ashok Chauhan, WO2 Sarvjit Singh, WO2 Aniket Shah, WO2 Simranjit Singh, Sgt. Jaspinderjit Singh, Cpl. Ranjiv Sangwan, Sqn Ldr. The event also witnessed the presence of key dignitaries including Dr. Gaurav Hans of BBMG Foundation, Upendra Singh of the British Investment Council and Dr. Sahil Singh, Ambassador SP & UN SDG, who applauded the initiative and the growing cooperation between India and the United Kingdom.

While addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah highlighted the long-standing purpose of the Indo UK Film and Cultural Forum, created many years ago to develop, strengthen, and promote cultural, artistic, and educational relations between the two countries. London, UK – In a grand recognition of his relentless efforts to foster international relations, Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been honored by Diwakar Sukul of the International Book of Honour, London, UK. This prestigious accolade highlights Dr. Marwah’s exceptional contributions to promoting global harmony through art, culture, and media. The event was  earlier  held at House of Lords , British Parliament in London.     

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, serving as the Ambassador of Wales to India and Chair for the Indo Wales Creative Forum and Indo UK Film and Cultural Forum, has been a beacon of cultural diplomacy. His initiatives have significantly strengthened the cultural ties between India and Wales, as well as other nations. “We could only solve our problems by cooperating with other countries,” said Dr. Marwah. “Love, peace, and unity can be brought to the world only through art and culture.”

Diwakar Sukul, while presenting the honor, emphasized the unique role Dr. Marwah has played in enhancing India’s international relations. “Dr. Marwah is one of those exclusive individuals who has always prioritized international relations of India above any other national or international business. He is probably the only Indian who has brought more than 200 international accolades and awards to India from all over the world,” Sukul remarked.
