New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Ahmed Sule, High Commissioner of Niger, and the esteemed people of Nigeria on the auspicious occasion of Nigeria’s National Day, celebrated on 1st October every year.

The Indo Nigeria Film and Cultural Forum, with a legacy of two decades, has been instrumental in fostering and promoting relations between India and Nigeria. Over the years, ICMEI has organized numerous events, fostering cultural exchanges and strengthening the bond between the two nations.

AAFT School of Fashion and Design Presents a Stunning Array of Garments at the 9th Global Literary Festival

AAFT School of Fashion and Design Presented Fashion Show at 9th GLFN Marwah Film City

Noida: The 9th Global Literary Festival, hosted by AAFT University, reached its grand finale with an enthralling fashion show organized by the esteemed AAFT School of Fashion and Design. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the President of the festival and Chancellor of AAFT University, emphasized the significance of fashion shows in uniting designers, buyers, and retailers, providing a platform to showcase exceptional craftsmanship and market appeal directly to potential buyers.

Fashion is an integral part of daily life, a dynamic entity that continually evolves with events and trends. Dr. Marwah encouraged individuals to let their fashion choices express their true selves and to not be dictated by prevailing trends. The festival concluded with a glamorous fashion show that showcased a remarkable range of garments and designs.

The event was inaugurated by notable dignitaries, including Dr. Diwakar Sukul, Founder of Kamkus Clinic and Director of World Book of Records, London; Divya Sukul, Actor and Model; and  Vinod Kumar Tiwari, District Judge at NHRC (National Human Rights Commission).

This year’s fashion walk presented a fusion of timeless and contemporary designs infused with an indie touch. The theme was divided into five captivating sequences: Diya, Phoenix Modelling Batch-Styling, Dwarka city, and Female Warriors. Models graced the stage with elegance, donning ethnic bridal wear to symbolize the festival theme of Diya, evoking the festive spirit of Diwali and captivating the audience.

The Phoenix theme portrayed the notions of afterlife and Moksha, embodying a surreal and heavenly essence. The designer and stylist from the School of Fashion and Design, drew inspiration from Greek mythology, employing contrasting shades of carmine and ivory to illustrate the concept of heaven and hell.

The 80s classic wardrobe theme was a nostalgic recollection, evoking the charm of old school fashion. The theme of Dwarka city celebrated Lord Krishna’s life and styles inspired by his persona, adorning the models in God and Goddesses attire, beautifully synchronized with devotional tunes.

Lastly, the theme of female warriors embodied women empowerment, drawing inspiration from iconic female leaders such as Rani Laxmi Bai and Jodha Bai. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, in appreciation of the esteemed guests, presented mementos and extended heartfelt congratulations to the students for their exceptional efforts in elevating the standard of the fashion show year after year.

Noida, 14th Oct,2023: The 9th Global Literary Festival Noida 2023 culminated on a high note with the grand presentation of the 6th Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award for the Promotion of Art and Culture, a fitting tribute to celebrate the legacy of the revered former Prime Minister and prominent poet, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The prestigious awards were bestowed upon esteemed personalities from various corners of India in a spectacular ceremony held at Marwah Film City in Noida.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Global Literary Festival and Chancellor of AAFT University, expressed deep reverence for Atal Bihari Vajpayee, highlighting his significant contributions to the nation as a three-time Prime Minister and a celebrated poet and journalist. 9th GLFN Sheds Light on Challenges and Contributions of Women Writers in the Indian Literary Landscape

Noida: The 9th  Global Literary Festival held in Noida recently brought together eminent personalities from the literary world to discuss and acknowledge the remarkable contributions and challenges faced by women writers in the Indian literary landscape. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President & Chancellor of AAFT University of Media & Arts, took the initiative to host a seminar dedicated to showcasing and supporting the endeavors of women in literature.

Dr. Marwah emphasized the importance of promoting and supporting women across all disciplines of life, including the literary realm. He outlined the various initiatives undertaken by Asian Academy of Arts and Writers Association of India to nurture and encourage women writers. Special programs and publication divisions have been established to provide a platform for women to showcase their talents in radio, television, and book publishing.

The esteemed speakers at the seminar included notable figures such as Naresh Mudgal, Project Officer & Fitness Expert; Dr. J P Singh Sahni, Director of Indian Skills Development Council; Jyoti Jha, Novelist & Author; Tanmay Dubey, Author; Sameer Anjaan, renowned Lyricist; and Partap Sehgal, renowned author.
