New Delhi, 10th Dec. 2025: In an extraordinary global gesture of unity, 130 organizations representing more than 45,000 members across 156 countries will celebrate the International Day of Cultural Relations on 3rd January for the second consecutive year. The day was instituted in 2024 by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) to honour the birthday of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a world-renowned cultural visionary whose life has been devoted to fostering global harmony through art and culture.
Dr. Marwah—revered as a living legend, Global Cultural Ambassador to over 90 nations, and one of the world’s most influential voices for cultural diplomacy—has been a tireless force in promoting the mantra of “Love, Peace & Unity Through Art and Culture.” His inspirational message has been carried across 8,500 national and international events, touching lives, uplifting societies, and strengthening people-to-people relations worldwide.
With an astounding 275 international honours and more than 1,300 awards from India, Dr. Marwah stands as one of the most decorated cultural personalities of our time. His four-decade-long creative journey spans theatre, television, cinema, painting, music, dance, sculpture, writing, acting, directing, and cultural organising—representing the complete spectrum of artistic excellence.
A revered educator, Dr. Marwah has mentored 36,000 students from 145 countries, shaping global creative talent and empowering a new generation of cultural leaders. His titles—including Global Cultural Minister, Icon of the Decade, Global Cultural Ambassador, and Global Cultural Scientist—reflect his unparalleled contributions to humanity through creativity.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah expressed, “Culture is the world’s most powerful bridge. When we exchange culture, we exchange humanity. The International Day of Cultural Relations reminds us that nations grow closer, people grow kinder, and peace grows stronger when art becomes our common language.”
This year’s celebration will see global forums, cultural festivals, artistic showcases, academic discussions, film screenings, and peace-led initiatives across continents—an inspiring testament to Dr. Marwah’s unstoppable commitment to world unity.
The International Day of Cultural Relations is not merely an observance—it is a movement. A movement born from India, carried by the world, and fuelled by the belief that culture can transform the future of humanity.
