5th Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award Presented by Asian Academy of Arts

Presentation of Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award for Promotion of Art and Culture

Noida: The felicitation ceremony of “5th Atal Bihari Vajpayee National Award for promotion of Art and Culture” was conducted by Asian Academy of Arts on the final day of the 8th Global Literary Festival Noida in a grand function at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

The event began with the festival president’s address. Dr. Sandeep Marwah announced that,” this is the first award to be coined after Late Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The art and culture has never bothered to divide the society on the basis of caste, creed or religion, but have believed in only growth and entertainment,”. He motivated the people to have big dreams, huge goals and most importantly a great determination.

Dr. Neeraj A Sharma, Honorary Consul General The Republic of Palau extended his wishes and claimed the awardees to be assets to the country who contributed in society’s development by their work. He appreciated the efforts of ICMEI for creating Indo Palau Film and Cultural Forum to develop and promote relations between the two countries India & Palau.

Dr. Sergey Dvorianov, President International Diplomatic Club- Amicability of Russia, appreciated the Indian scriptures as he said,” No author can be compared to the writings of Ved Vyas’s Mahabharata and Valmiki’s Ramayana. We all must unite the inner and outer beauty to support humanity together. Indo Russia Film and Culture Forum is a wonderful initiative by ICMEI,” he emphasised.

Dr. Vinayshil Gautam author and academician stated, “sahitya ki atma hai apna anubhav”, teaching the students that every person has their own share of experiences in life. He said that the literary fest was an initiative which kept the soul of the society ignited.

On this occasion, Dr. Ram Sharan Gaur former Secretary Delhi Hindi Academy & President Delhi Public Library and Asha Shaily renowned author were honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award of 8th Global Literary Festival

Constituted by Asian Academy of Arts.

During the ceremony, Theatre Artist Satish Anand, Poet B L Gaur, Poet Laxmi Shankar Bajpai, Founder Sangam Kala Group V.S.K. Sood, Kathak Exponent Anu Sinha, Imaginary Realism Painter Raghu Vyas, Sitar Maestro Pt. Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Renowned Painter Dipak Ghosh, Founder President Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre Ladakh H.H. Bhikkhu Sanghasena, were decorated with the  Prestigious Atal Bihari Vajpayee National award for promotion of Art and Culture .

The awardees spoke about Love, Peace and Unity in the society and how literature plays a vital role in the development of an individual. The Vote of thanks was proposed by the Festival Director Sushil Bharti.

Sufi Night- The Closing Event of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida

Noida: The Final day of the 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022, concluded with a mesmerising Sufi Night by the well-known Yousuf Khan Nizami’s Group.

The program began with the motivational address of the Festival President followed by the guests Dr. Mridula Tondon a well-known art promoter and Dr. Rishi Raj Singh Director General All India MSMES Federation. The musical night started with the popular song “Mere Rashke Qamar” of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and concluded with “Damadam Mast Kalandar” of Sami Yusuf, creating a magical spell, leaving the audience mesmerised.

The whole auditorium was echoing with just two words and they were “Once More – Once More”. The group appreciated the audience support and called it one of the best audiences they’ve ever performed for. The delegates from all over India danced to the tunes of the songs and called it the best event to cherish throughout their lifetime.

“The three day literary event has come to an end. But it is the beginning of preparation of 9th   Global Literary Festival Noida 2023. We will all see you next year with more enthusiasm and set of known writers, authors and poets, and many more attractive events,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah in his closing remarks

Seminar on The Effect of OTT Platform on Reading  Habits at 8th GLFN

Noida: “8 years back we started Global Literary Festival Noida, idea is to motivate people to inculcate the habit of reading in their day to day life. A good reading

leads to good writing and good writing leads to good speaking,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University and  President of GLFN during the seminar on the second day of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022.

Initiating the topic, Marwah said, ”From five to fifty five OTT Channels shows the increase in the viewership of new programs and demand for new subjects and ample writing works. Reading has been changed to listening now days,”

Ambassador of Venezuela, H.E Coromoto Godoy Calderon, shared that in her country, youngsters really like to read books and enjoy writing. She said that their President has helped establish public libraries and even giving out books for free to the public to encourage reading and writing. She said that Venezuela supports and encourages people to read, write and be creative. Her Excellency gifted the books she brought from Venezuela to the library of AAFT.

Every medium has its own importance be it a radio, television, cinema or digital. But Books are much more authentic than even google,” said renowned Ad Guru and author  Bharat Dabholkar from Mumbai. Author and Journalist Rajesh Badal said  “The lessons in books as well as the lessons of life both contribute to teaching.” Dr. Lavlin Thadani, a filmmaker and an author elaborated that books lead to enrichment of emotions, sharpening of sensitivity and enhancing the finer feelings of romance. She said selling books can’t be a rat race of money, why can’t it be only love for reading?”.

Former Ambassador of India to Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, Dr. Amarendra Khatua, shared some key points with the delegates to be successful writers. “Reading books is an intellectual activity and anything in the audio-visual medium, especially films, are seen as a distraction. Books can change your lives and so can the movies, they can inspire and be life changing for a lot of people,” said young author Karmanya Thadani.

A book with the title “Bahke Kadam” written by S.S. Sharma was released by the  dignitaries. A poster highlighting the veteran writer and social reformer Deendayal Upadhyay was released by  the guests to mark respect to the contribution of the legend in the field of writing. Ermia Raescu, an educationist from Romania,  Global Chairman of MSMECCI  Indrajit Ghosh also spoke on the occasion.

Seminar on The Future and Prospects of Digital Reading at 8th GLFN

Noida: The second day of the 8th Global Literary Festival, Noida 2022 began with a seminar on “The Future & Prospects of Digital Reading”. Addressing the gathering, Festival President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said that the journey of Global Literary Festival Noida has been incredible, bringing so many renowned authors, poets, publishers under one roof to inspire and motivate the budding writers. Sharing the idea behind the festival, he stated that it was initiated with only one objective and that is “Entertainment with Growth.”

Writer Mr. Varun Wadhwa said that one should have a motive behind writing as his aim was to be remembered by the people through his books.  He laid stress on the fact that “nobody else can inspire us but our own self, so it necessary to have faith in your own wings”.

Writer Mr. Nitish Bhushan discussed  different eras of transferring knowledge, “Shruti and Smriti which means listening and remembering, Lekhan & Pathan which means writing reading and discussed evolution of the printing press.

During the session, Author Dr. Shalini Narayanan inspired the audience stating that“writing requires a lot of hard work and commitment. Writing a book must be considered as  contribution to Society.  In this age of digital era,  it has become  important to write short stories as the audience is short of time and always in a hurry to grasp maximum information in minimum time.”

Commander V K Jaitely, Former president of IIT Kharagpur and author of the book “We Can, We Can”, conveyed that both e-books and physical books are a medium of sharing knowledge and views. His endless love for books compelled him to come up with the idea of opening a free library in his society.

3rd Suraj Parkash Marwah Sahitya Ratan Awards Ceremony at Marwah Studios

Noida: The most prestigious Suraj Parkash Marwah Sahitya Ratan Awards were presented to the popular and prominent writers of the country in a grand function at Marwah Studios in the annual  third edition on the first day of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022 at Noida Film City.

“Feelings and Thinking of a man drive his activities and the quality of work. Think good feel good so that you can act good and convert this earth into heaven,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University and President of the festival congratulating the awardees present in the auditorium from different parts of the country. He also narrated in short the struggle of Suraj Parkash Marwah during partition days.

On this occasion veteran poet and author Savita Chaddha, talked about the value of relationships in life.  Addressing the gathering renowned writer Dr. Divik Ramesh stated that a student is an integral part of teacher’s life and a teacher is nothing without students.. Senior Politician from BJP Anand Sahu laid stress on the significance of Language, its value and stated that without language there’s no art & culture.

“Winning an award is always a special moment. The greatest award is the appreciation of the people. Man gives you the award but God gives you the reward. An award recognizing your talent is an honour,” said Dr Marwah while announcing the names at the Suraj Parkash Marwah Award Ceremony covering nine renowned authors/poets who were felicitated with the Suraj Parkash Marwah Sahitya Ratan Award and certificate of honour including Dr. V. L. Gaur, Sanskrit and Hindi poet, Dr. Bhuvan Lall author and film maker,  Alka Sinha poetess, Prof. Dr. Shalini Verma Author, Dr. Roopa Singh author,  Dr. Sunita author, Urvashi Agrawal ‘Urvi’ Poetess, Pawan Kumar Poet and Dr Sanjay Inamdar Poet & Novelist.

All the awardees spoke their heart out in the most dignified manner. The event was conducted by Sushil Bharti. The dignitaries also released the news bulletin “Manthan” prepared by the students of Journalism and Mass Communication under guidance of Dr. Nawaz Dean AAFT School of Journalism & Mass Communication.

An Exhibition of Still Photography Inaugurated at 8th Global Literary Festival

Noida: On the occasion of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022- A photography exhibition was put up by the students of AAFT School of Still Photography depicting and highlighting different aspects of life in coloured and black & white pictures.

The exhibition was  inaugurated by HE Moe Kyaw Aung Ambassador of Myanmar to India, Gen. J. J. Singh Former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Author, Prem Janmejai Veteran Author,  Acharya Lokesh Muni Founder President of Ahimsa Vishva Bharti, Dr. Heera Lal IAS Additional Mission Director-National Health Mission and Ermia Raaescu Educationist from Romania. The dignities were surprised by the the quality of work presented in the exhibition. Everyone expressed their views on the large number of photographs displayed for three days at the festival.

Aum Nam Suk President of South Korea-India Cultural Society , Dr. Gopal Ji of Global Yog Alliance and  Arti Makkar Bandlish renowned artist were the special guest. The exhibition was well attended by all the delegates of the literature festival from all over India.

“In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality. Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever and It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah appreciating the hard work of students.

President of South Korea-India Cultural Society Aum Nam Suk, said that “You never take a photograph, you make it.” Associate Dean, School of Still Photography,  Tanushri Srivastava, said that the students tried to portray the photographs that depicts some sort of stories and have deep meanings behind the frame.

The various themes include “Abnormality is Beautiful” by Jai Khatwani (BA III Photography), “Yamuna Floods 2022” by Abhay Pratap (Diploma Student), “5 Elements” by Kapil Parmuval (BA III Photography). Three awarded photographs were exhibited by Atul Yadav – a student of photography department.

The visitors appreciated the collection and conveyed their love towards the collections. Exhibition was supported by Asian Academy of Arts, International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

Noida: Paintings are a form of visual art that captures the expression of ideas and emotions on a two-dimensional surface. Artists use the elements of shape, colors, line, tones, and textures in unique ways to produce paintings that convey sensations of movement, volume, space, and light – traditionally on a flat surface,” expressed Sandeep Marwah at the inauguration of Painting exhibition at 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022.

The exhibition was  inaugurated by HE Moe Kyaw Aung Ambassador of Myanmar to India, Gen. J. J. Singh Former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Author, Prem Janmejai Veteran Author,  Acharya Lokesh Muni Founder President of Ahimsa Vishva Bharti, Dr. Heera Lal IAS Additional Mission Director-National Health Mission and Ermia Raaescu Educationist from Romania. Everyone expressed their views on the large number of paintings displayed for three days at the festival.

It was the vast collection of paintings by Marwah Studios of various senior and new artists from all over India and abroad including a collection of paintings by Arti Makkar Bandlish who was present there to explain her work of Art. The exhibition was appreciated by one and all.

The melodies sound of piano was the back ground  music of the exhibition by Ashwin Singh adding to the creative ambience. The event was designed by Asian Academy of Arts and supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Seminar on The New Trends in Fiction Writing at 8th Global Literary Festival Noida

Seminar During 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022

Noida: “We have emerged as the second biggest Literary Festival in the country. Large number of events during the festival have attracted writers from all over India and abroad. Every session is a brain storming session, full of knowledge, information and entertainment,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the festival introducing the speakers of first seminar of the first day of 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022 at Marwah Film City Noida.

The session began with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the dignities followed by   the launching of a book “SACH”, written by Dhruvan Ladha, a final year student of Journalism and Mass Communication at AAFT.

Renowned author Dr. Rama Singh, enlightened the students with the new trends in fiction writing. She shared how quality literature awakes the slumbering soul and how stories have always been a part of mankind. She laid stress on the word “Kahani” which is derived from the word “Kehna” and that is what fiction writing is all about. She also said a story is made up of three parts “Anubhav, Anubhuti and Abhivyakti”.

On this occasion, Chancellor of AAFT University and Festival President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah shared a few mantras for the budding writers asking them to work hard and create any piece of writing with in-depth research and passion to be successful in this field. He encouraged the students to read good writers and prioritise the audience for whom they want to write.

Ravindra Kant Tyagi, a renowned author, acknowledged the audience with the contrast between the current and the literature of the earlier times through satire where he talked about writers like Vishnu Prabhakar and Chetan Bhagat. Author Avinash Phushkarana enlightened the audience with the expression of art. He also said that a beautiful presentation of an emotion knits a story and with a responsible pen, it can create wonders.

During the session, the festival director Mr Sushil Bharti briefed the audience about the fest and how it sculpts several writers every year. He also talked about the vision to bring together diverse writers, poets and artists on a single platform to inspire budding writers through this festival.

Noida: The City of Noida was bubbling with energy and enthusiasm. The excitement of the people could be seen in the well decorated campus of Marwah Studios where people were queuing up to enter the prestigious auditorium to be part of the grand event-The Inauguration of 8th Global Literature Festival 2022.

“We are institution of Communication-reading, writing, speaking, and listening are our love, passion & profession. Every year we invite like minded people from all over the World and promote literature which is need of the hour. Well learned leads to well written and then in return better literature for the masses.

“We are proud to be part of this international event, I congratulate the organizers for showcasing literature at such a grand scale. Indo Myanmar Film and Cultural Forum and Embassy of Myanmar is here to support to its best,” said H.E. Moe Kyaw Aung Ambassador of Myanmar to India.

“Writing is the best expression. Everyone has his or her own story and the best way to start writing is to start writing your own story,” Said J.J. Singh former Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and Chief of the Army Staff.

“Promotion of literature means promotion of humankind, our traditions, our customs, our way of life. You may be writing a book, but fact is you are also writing history for the next generation,” said Acharya Lokesh Muni.

“Literature is writing that uses artistic expression and form and is considered to have merit or be important. As an artistic term, literature refers to written works, such as novels, short stories, biographies, memories, essays, and poetry.expressed  Heera Lal Senior IAS officer.

“Superfluous writing has no meaning, the depth of life converted into writing becomes many times a learning experience for others. Writing a book is a serious matter,” added Prem Janamejai senior writer of the country.

Educationalist and writer Ermia Raescu from Romania, Katernia Tyurina from Embassy of Russia, Eom Nam Suk from South Korea also shared their experience and spoke on the subject love, peace, and unity through art and culture.

The first day of the festival saw many events one after another to keep the large audience busy with activities of knowledge and intelligence including the book release of J.J. Singh, and Poster release of Ram Manohar Lohia by forum. The event was conducted by Sushil Bharti Festival Director.

Asian Unity Alliance Join Hands with 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022

New Delhi: The management committee of Asian Unity Alliance is feeling honored to be associated with 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022, the biggest literary festival of this side of the World, to promote Love Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture.

Asian Unity Alliance was created thirty years back with the support of Asian Academy of Film and Television, the first private film school of India, its head quarters at Noida Film City to unite the Asian countries through art and culture. All the Asian countries have been requested to be part of this alliance to bring oneness and a feeling of one family.

Thousands of social, political, cultural events have been designed, executed, and been associated with, have become the source of propaganda of the theme of the alliance.

To add on to the total gamut of education we started Global Literary Festival to bring in best of the brains, literature, culture, art to the students and people of this region,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Academy of Arts while announcing the dates of forthcoming 8th Global Literary Festival Noida 2022.

Talking to the press Dr. Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios confirmed the dates     from 1st to 3rd September 2022 when large number of events including workshops, seminars, interactions, book releases, Kavi Samelan, Mushayra, Sufi Singing, dance recital, etc. are going to take place in three days.

“We are very lucky that Global Literary Festival has emerged as one of the most happening literary festivals in the country. We have been able to attract people from all over India and abroad during these three days of literary festival during last seven editions,” said Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Sarojni Naidu International Award for Working Women Announced

Noida: The 6th Edition of Dr. Sarojni Naidu International Award for Working Women is announced today by the President of Asian Academy of Arts Dr. Sandeep Marwah during press conference while mentioning the dates of forthcoming 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2022.

Dr. Sarojni Naidu International Award for Working Women was constituted way back in 2015 to honor and appreciate all those Women who have   done commendably well in their respective fields and also supporting the society in different manners.

So far five editions have been successfully completed and around 500 different Women from all parts of India and abroad have been decorated with this award.

Dr. Sarojni Naidu International Award for Working Women is after the name of well-known freedom fighter, poetess and lawyer Dr. Sarojni Naidu. This is one of the most popular and prestigious awards in India for women. The award is supported by large number of social and cultural organizations like International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, AAFT University of Media and Arts, Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Development and Research Foundation, etc.

The award ceremony will take place in Noida Film City in the month of September. The last date of submission of the application is 20th August, 2022. The jury will decide the awards one week before the presentation day.
