Palestinian Documentary “The Palestine” Honoured at 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026

Noida: A powerful documentary titled “The Palestine”, directed by Dr. Mohammed Al Wahidi, was screened as part of the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026. The film received an overwhelming response from the audience for its meaningful subject and impactful presentation.

The screening was formally inaugurated by H.E. Abdullah Mohammad Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of Palestine to India. Addressing the gathering, the Ambassador appreciated the efforts of the festival organizers for providing an international platform to present Palestinian cinema and for encouraging cultural dialogue through films.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Palestine Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his gratitude to the Embassy of Palestine for its continued support and participation. He emphasized that the Indo Palestine Film and Cultural Forum is playing a powerful role in creating awareness and building strong and meaningful relations between India and Palestine through art, media, and cinema.

Later, Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the festival memento to the Ambassador as a mark of respect and appreciation. The prestigious Award of Distinction was also conferred upon the film, which was graciously accepted by H.E. Abdullah Mohammad Abu Shawesh on behalf of the filmmaker.

Noida: A heartfelt farewell was organized in honour of Dr. Abed Elrazeg Abu Jazer, a distinguished diplomat and former Media Advisor at the Embassy of the State of Palestine in New Delhi. The event was held in recognition of his valuable contribution to strengthening media, cultural, and diplomatic relations during his tenure in India.

The farewell ceremony was attended by the Directors of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), senior staff members, and members of the management, who gathered to express their appreciation and best wishes for his future endeavors.

New Delhi: Dr Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo-Palestine Film and Cultural Forum and Founder of Noida Film City, attended a high-level diplomatic conference organized by the Embassy of Palestine in India on the occasion of the official visit of Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Hon’ble Foreign Minister of the State of Palestine.

The conference was hosted by H.E. Abdullah Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of Palestine to India, and was attended by Ambassadors, High Commissioners, diplomats, and other prominent dignitaries from New Delhi. The gathering provided a significant platform to understand the current situation in Palestine and to engage in informed dialogue on regional developments.

Noida, 26th September 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, added a rich cultural dimension to the 11th Global Literary Festival Noida 2025 by presenting the authentic cuisines of Palestine at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

The special showcase was inaugurated by H.E. Abdullah M.A. Abushawesh, Ambassador of Palestine to India, who praised the initiative. “Food is a mirror of our heritage, history, and values. Noida: The Indo-Palestine Film and Cultural Forum at Marwah Studios extended a warm welcome to H.E. Abdallah M. Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to India, on the occasion of his maiden visit to Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

During his visit, Ambassador Shawesh toured the state-of-the-art facilities of Marwah Studios, including the film and television production units, radio and broadcasting stations, and the globally recognized academic setup of the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT).
