Noida: In a significant step towards promoting women’s empowerment and leadership, AAFT has joined hands with the World Femme Parliament to support and strengthen a comprehensive Women Empowerment Program aimed at encouraging education, entrepreneurship, skill development, leadership, and social participation among women.

The prestigious initiative is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, and Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing gender equality and creating opportunities for women across diverse sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayurakshi Verma, Founder of the World Femme Parliament, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration and said, “Women empowerment is not merely a social objective but a catalyst for national development. Through this program, we aim to create a platform where women can access opportunities, build leadership capabilities, and contribute meaningfully to society. Noida, India: The AAFT School of Fashion and Design, in association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, presented a captivating fashion sequence inspired by the culture of The Gambia during Asian Unity Day on the opening day of the Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2026, held at Marwah Studios.

The showcase, featured as Day 1 | 2nd Show | Sequence 3, highlighted the creative brilliance of designer Anurag Chandra, who beautifully translated the essence of The Gambia into a refined and elegant collection. Drawing inspiration from the serene natural beauty and cultural richness of the country, the garments reflected soft blush tones, layered textures, and fluid silhouettes symbolizing blooming landscapes and gentle river flows.

The collection stood out for its delicate detailing and graceful forms, embodying femininity, harmony, and timeless elegance. It seamlessly blended nature with design, creating a visual narrative that celebrated both tradition and contemporary aesthetics.

Noida: The Brands and Sourcing Leaders Association (BSLA) successfully convened a distinguished gathering of industry leaders, exporters, brand builders, and policy experts at its Leadership Dialogue, a strategic initiative aimed at exploring how India’s apparel, textile, and lifestyle ecosystem can strengthen its global presence at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

The evening was expertly anchored by Master of Ceremonies Alok Saxena, who guided engaging conversations and facilitated meaningful exchanges among panelists and participants. The Leadership Dialogue featured two high-impact panel discussions focused on brand globalization and trade-driven market expansion.

The first panel examined how Indian companies can transition from manufacturing excellence to becoming globally recognized brands. Sanjay Shukla emphasized the role of trust and reliability, stating, “Consistency in quality, compliance, and responsible sourcing is essential for building long-term credibility with global retailers.”

The second panel focused on how emerging trade agreements between India and key markets such as the UK and the European Union can unlock new growth avenues for the apparel and textile sector.

Industry experts discussed how Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) can be leveraged to boost exports, strengthen sourcing partnerships, and move towards higher value creation.

Shilpi Tiwari highlighted the evolving sourcing dynamics, stating, “FTAs are reshaping global sourcing strategies. Indian manufacturers who combine compliance, agility, and innovation will remain preferred partners.”

Rohit Joshi pointed to the dual opportunity for India, noting, “India is well-positioned to scale both private label manufacturing and its own brands, with trade advantages accelerating this transformation.”

Dinesh Jain emphasized the strength of India’s home textile sector, saying, “Innovation, sustainability, and strong product development will enable Indian companies to capture a larger global market share.”

Chhatrapati Ranjit Rai highlighted the potential of traditional sectors, stating, “India’s handicrafts and heritage home furnishings have strong appeal in premium global markets, especially with improved trade access.”

Vipin Khaneja, Secretary General of BSLA, underlined the significance of the Global Outreach Summit initiative, stating, “The Global Outreach Summit is designed to position India not just as a sourcing destination, but as a global partner in innovation, design, and sustainable value creation.”

Noida, India: One of the most intellectually stimulating and impactful seminars of the 18th Global Film Festival Noida was held at Marwah Studios on the theme “Is Cinema the Right Medium to Unravel Historic Truths.” The seminar brought together some of the most respected voices from Indian cinema, culture, and public life, reaffirming India’s position as the largest and most influential cinema industry in the world.

The seminar was inaugurated by an eminent panel comprising Jaya Prada, legendary cine star and politician; Charu Shankar, renowned actress; Dr. Abraham Kumar, acclaimed music director from the USA; Mukesh Tyagi, actor and BJP spokesperson; Tarun Bajaj, celebrated casting director; Shabbir Boxwala, renowned producer; and Umesh Shukla, acclaimed film director.

Initiating the seminar, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Festival President of the Global Film Festival Noida, Founder of Marwah Studios, and member of the Executive Body of the Film Federation of India (FFI), said, “Cinema is the most powerful medium of mass communication in India. Renowned music director Dr. Abraham Kumar from the USA remarked, “Music and cinema together have the power to immortalize history. When truth is supported by strong storytelling and authentic sound, it transcends borders and generations.” Tarun Bajaj highlighted the role of casting, stating, “Authenticity begins with the right representation. Casting plays a crucial role in ensuring that historical characters are portrayed with honesty and depth.”

Producer Shabbir Boxwala said, “Cinema must balance creativity with credibility. While cinematic liberty is important, respect for historical facts builds trust with audiences.” Acclaimed director Umesh Shukla added, “Cinema does not rewrite history; it interprets it. Noida: In a major boost to creative and technological education, a new, ultra-modern 2D, 3D, VFX & AI Studio was inaugurated at Marwah Studios during the 18th Global Film Festival Noida. The prestigious inauguration was carried out by Ranjeet, legendary Bollywood actor, and Ashwin Kumar, Oscar-nominated animator and filmmaker, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of animation and artificial intelligence education at AAFT.

The inauguration generated immense excitement among the faculty and students of AAFT School of Animation, VFX, Data Science, and AI, who enthusiastically witnessed the launch of this next-generation studio designed to meet global industry standards. Equipped with the latest tools and technologies, the studio aims to provide hands-on training in animation, visual effects, virtual production, and AI-driven content creation.

ICMEI Signs MoU with United Service Institution of India to Promote National Interest Through Culture and Strategic Collaboration

New Delhi, August 2, 2025: In a significant step toward fostering national pride and strategic awareness through the medium of media and culture, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Service Institution of India (USII)—India’s premier national security and defense services think tank.

The MoU was signed in the esteemed presence of Maj Gen B.K. Sharma (Retd.), Director General of USII, and Maj Gen P.K. Goswami (Retd.), who witnessed the formal agreement aimed at collaborative efforts to promote India’s national interests, heritage, and global image through joint initiatives.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, emphasized the importance of this unique alliance. “The partnership between a leading defense think tank and a media and cultural institution like ICMEI will open new doors for strategic communication, cultural awareness, and national pride. Together, we will work on initiatives that bridge the gap between civil society and strategic affairs,” he said.

Both organizations agreed to collaborate on seminars, media projects, publications, awareness campaigns, and educational programs that contribute to informed public discourse on India’s defense, diplomacy, and cultural legacy.

Noida, 9th May 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Asian Law College, in partnership with Cyber Humane, successfully hosted a high-impact Landmark Conclave on Digital Dignity at the Asian Law College campus. The event brought together top legal minds, cybersecurity experts, diplomats, and educators to address the most pressing concerns of our digital age under the compelling theme:
“Securing the Digital Frontier – Addressing Cyber Threats, Misinformation, and Privacy in the Age of AI, Deepfakes, and Global Surveillance.”
