New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, was honoured by the World Femme Parliament at a prestigious ceremony held at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to women’s empowerment through the initiatives of the various organizations he has established and led over the years.

Presenting the honour, Mayurakshi Verma, Founder of the World Femme Parliament, appreciated Dr. Marwah’s relentless efforts in creating meaningful platforms that promote women’s leadership, education, creativity, and social development. She commended his sustained commitment to empowering women through media, art, culture, education, and international collaborations.

Expressing his gratitude after receiving the honour, Dr. Sandeep Marwah spoke extensively about the work of the International Women’s Film Forum (IWFF), an initiative dedicated to encouraging women’s participation and leadership in cinema, media, and the creative industries. He highlighted the Forum’s extensive national and international activities, workshops, seminars, film festivals, leadership programmes, and awareness campaigns designed to strengthen the role of women in society.

Dr. Marwah also emphasized the continuous efforts made through community and digital broadcasting platforms. He stated that dedicated programmes for women and by women have been broadcast for several years on Radio Noida, Radio Raipur, Radio Mumbai, and MSTV OTT Channel, providing women with a powerful platform to express their views, share success stories, and discuss issues related to health, education, entrepreneurship, culture, and social development.

He further informed the gathering that a large number of women-centric social organizations from across India and abroad have become associated with the International Women’s Film Forum. Together with the International Women’s Film Forums (IWFF), these organizations now function as a strong federation, creating opportunities for collaboration, networking, capacity building, and advocacy for women’s empowerment through media and culture.

This award belongs to every woman who has contributed to our mission and every organization that has partnered with us in promoting equality, creativity, and leadership. The ceremony was attended by a large number of distinguished guests, eminent personalities, social leaders, educationists, media professionals, diplomats, and representatives from various women-led organizations, making the event a significant celebration of women’s achievements and leadership.

The prestigious initiative is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, and Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing gender equality and creating opportunities for women across diverse sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, Mayurakshi Verma, Founder of the World Femme Parliament, expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration and said, “Women empowerment is not merely a social objective but a catalyst for national development.
