Noida: The Extreme Animation Games – AVGC Department was grandly inaugurated during the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios. The inauguration ceremony was led by Meenakshi Lekhi, former Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Government of India, in the presence of eminent personalities from the media and entertainment industry.

The Extreme Animation Games initiative is a major highlight of the AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics) segment of the festival, aimed at promoting innovation, digital creativity, and the fast-growing gaming industry among youth and professionals.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of Noida Film City, while addressing the audience, stated that the AVGC sector has emerged as one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing segments of the creative economy. “Animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics are no longer niche areas; they are powerful tools of communication, education, and entertainment. Noida: The Exhibition designed and curated by the students of the AAFT School of Animation was inaugurated with great enthusiasm during the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The event witnessed the gracious presence of eminent international dignitaries and distinguished guests from India and abroad.

The exhibition and seminar were formally inaugurated by H.E. Alberto Guani, Ambassador of Uruguay; H.E. Abdullah M Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of Palestine; H.E. Chandradath Singh, High Commissioner of Trinidad & Tobago; and Ruby Yadav, a prominent BJP leader. The dignitaries applauded the creativity, innovation, and technical excellence displayed by the young animators.

The prestigious inauguration was carried out by Ranjeet, legendary Bollywood actor, and Ashwin Kumar, Oscar-nominated animator and filmmaker, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of animation and artificial intelligence education at AAFT.

Noida – May 2025 – In a spectacular blend of creativity, cosplay, and digital artistry, Marwah Studios, in association with the AAFT School of Animation and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), hosted the first-ever Fashion Show of Comic Characters as a highlight event of the ongoing Xtreme Champions League. This groundbreaking initiative marked a new milestone in India’s emerging animation and gaming culture, where fictional characters stepped out of screens and into the spotlight.

Conceptualized and executed by the talented students of AAFT School of Animation, the show featured original comic characters designed, styled, and brought to life through innovative costume design and character modeling. Pix Elated AVGC Summit Was A Huge Success at PHDCCI

New Delhi: The PIX ELATED AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics) Summit was successfully held at the PHDCCI (PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry) under the Chairmanship of Sandeep Marwah, along with Co-Chairs Charuvi Agarwal and Vrinda Sood of Entertainment & AVGC Committee. The event was held on 8th April and was attended by various experts, professionals and students from the AVGC industry.

The summit aimed to promote and showcase the potential of the Indian AVGC industry and discuss ways to strengthen and enhance its growth. It brought together stakeholders from the industry, government, and academia to discuss various topics such as emerging technologies, talent development, industry trends, and international collaborations.

The event was a huge success, with participants lauding the organizers for providing a platform for the industry to come together and share their experiences and ideas. The summit concluded with the signing of several MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding) between various industry players and educational institutions to foster talent development and exchange programs.

Noida: “India’s animation and VFX industry was valued at around 83 billion Indian rupees in 2021, despite the lapse in market value in the previous year owed to the pandemic’s adverse effects. Estimates for 2024 indicate a growth rate of 29 percent with the industry’s value amounting to180 billion Indian rupees,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry addressing the students of AAFT School of Animation.

We need to look more at original stories and content rather than just being an outsourcing hub. For this to happen, media, corporate houses and Government need to invest a good amount of money in Indian Animation Industry.  With the current Government and the announcement of a National Centre for Excellence in Animation by FM in the Budget, it definitely looks promising,” said Vrinda Sood founder and CEO of Citrus in a workshop conducted at AAFT.
