New Delhi: In a grand ceremony held at Hotel Le Meridien, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), was honored with the Global Excellence Award by the Global Excellence Forum. This prestigious recognition was bestowed upon him for his outstanding contributions to the media, entertainment, and education industries. The event was led by distinguished leaders Jiterdra Kumar Ravi and Naeem Tirmizi.

Dr. Marwah, who has spent over four decades transforming India’s media and education landscape, was celebrated for his tireless dedication to creating platforms for cultural exchange, educational empowerment, and artistic collaboration on a global scale. The award was presented in the esteemed presence of several high-profile dignitaries, including Former Vice President of the BJP Shyam Jaju, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar, Member of Parliament Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera, and IPS Officer Dr. Sanjeeb Patjoshi (former Director General of State Human Rights).

During his acceptance speech, Dr. Sandeep Marwah reflected on the importance of education as the cornerstone of societal progress. “Education is the foundation upon which we build our future. It has the power to transform not only individuals but entire communities and nations,” he remarked. He shared his insights on the evolving nature of education, emphasizing that today’s education must go beyond conventional boundaries and embrace interdisciplinary learning, creativity, and technology to prepare the next generation for the challenges of tomorrow.

Dr. Marwah also took the opportunity to highlight the significant role that the media and entertainment industries play in education. “Through film, television, and digital platforms, we are educating millions without them even realizing it. The power of storytelling is universal, and when used effectively, it can bridge cultures, promote peace, and foster understanding among people from diverse backgrounds,” he said.

Noida: 8^th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 honored some of the prominent journalist of the nation who have contributed a lot to this responsible profession during the three days of the festival at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

Global Excellence Award in Journalism for long tenure and honest working in this profession was handed over by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Journalism Centre to Senior Journalist Aashish Tiwari of Metro Editor of Amar Ujala, Amandeep Shukla Senior Assistant Editor of Hindustan Times, Madhuri Kalal Senior Journalist of Zee Hindustan, Ruman Ullah Khan Senior Reporter of News Nation, Parimal Kumar Senior Reporter of NDTV and Danish Khan Reporter of ABP. 

Rajkumari Tankha, Senior Assistant Editor with The Morning Standard, Vinod Sharma Special Correspondent (Political) at Navbharat Times, Krishan Ralhan Free lancer journalist, Mumtaz Journalist, Writer & Social Worker,  Shehnaz Free Lancer journalist,  Chandra Mohan Sharma Columnist at Navbharat Times & Sandhya Times,  Lal Singh Photo journalist at Amar Ujala, Mohd. Ilteja Usmani Columnist With ETV Bharat were also honored with Global Excellence Award in Journalism at the great event.

This time special slot was carved out for AAFTians who have done well in journalism and were also presented with Global Excellence award. Ajay Dubey Documentary Filmmaker, Kumar Raviraj Sinha Producer National Herald, Aishvarya Jain, Senior Correspondent of News Nation,  Shivang Mathur Special Correspondent at Dainik Jagran, and Shashank Yagnik Journalist with  AajTak were honored.

“It was the most prestigious job for us to honor all those who have done extra ordinary well in journalism and proved a wonderful niche for themselves. International Journalism Centre salute all the people who are in this courageous profession,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah thanking the large audience applauded for the awardees.
