Radio Mumbai Will be Launched on 12th February- International Day of Journalism

Radio Noida to be Launched on 12th February

New Delhi: “There can be no better day than 12th February, which is the International Day of Journalism, Radio Mumbai a new radio station online will be launched on this auspicious day during the biggest media mela Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2022,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts in a press conference talking about forth coming festival from 10th to 12th February.

“We are the promoters of first radio station of Noida City under the name & banner of Radio Noida 107.4FM. It has been eleven years and radio has become the voice of Noida. The station is serving almost a million people of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. Our second station Radio Raipur was inaugurated last year and has also picked up very well in Chhattisgarh. Now we are moving to Mumbai,” added Sandeep Marwah.

The Radio will be launched on 12th February during 10th Global Festival of Journalism on International Day of Journalism. The broadcasting will start from the next day- which is World Radio Day-13th February.

The promoter of Radio Mumbai Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City and President of Marwah Studios. He has been nominated   as the National President of Media and Entertainment Service Committee SSD 13 of Bureau of Indian Standard, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution. The event is going to be supported by ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, IJC- International journalism Centre and AAFT University of Media and Arts.

New Delhi: IJC- International Journalism Centre extends heartiest thanks to all the Journalists in India and all other countries of the World, who all have contributed immensely to the coverage of Covid -19 putting their lives to risk. It shows their sincere efforts and love & dedication towards Journalism- Three Cheers,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IJC

International Journalism Centre was created in the year 2007 when few known journalists from different countries decided to promote positive and constructive journalism in the World under the leadership of media guru Sandeep Marwah at Marwah Studios.

Few aims and objectives were placed on order including to start a community radio station, a community television station, a news paper to give news on art and culture, to enroll journalist associations as its members, to look into the interest   and needs of journalists and good journalism. It also aims to educate & promote young aspirants in the profession of journalism.

Later it was decided to have the most exclusive Festival of Journalism to talk to the World about journalistic activities- and Global Festival of Journalism Noida was established in 2013

“The biggest contribution of International Journalism Centre is to declare 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. Though it started in a very simple way but now the whole world has started celebrating this date as the auspicious International Day of Journalism,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IJC.

IJC also started supporting media education in AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television as well as ASMS- Asian School of Media since its inception, now the biggest school of journalism in India.

IJC backed up the first radio Station of Noida city- Radio Noida 107.4FM and now its been 11 years radio is now a World radio. A television station called MSTV was also launched from Marwah Studios at the same time.

International Journalism Centre is been busy in conducting workshops, seminars discussions and talks on the various current affairs and subjects of national & international interest.

Global Excellence Award in Journalism for long tenure and honest working in this profession was handed over by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Journalism Centre to Senior Journalist Aashish Tiwari of Metro Editor of Amar Ujala, Amandeep Shukla Senior Assistant Editor of Hindustan Times, Madhuri Kalal Senior Journalist of Zee Hindustan, Ruman Ullah Khan Senior Reporter of News Nation, Parimal Kumar Senior Reporter of NDTV and Danish Khan Reporter of ABP. 

Rajkumari Tankha, Senior Assistant Editor with The Morning Standard, Vinod Sharma Special Correspondent (Political) at Navbharat Times, Krishan Ralhan Free lancer journalist, Mumtaz Journalist, Writer & Social Worker,  Shehnaz Free Lancer journalist,  Chandra Mohan Sharma Columnist at Navbharat Times & Sandhya Times,  Lal Singh Photo journalist at Amar Ujala, Mohd. Ilteja Usmani Columnist With ETV Bharat were also honored with Global Excellence Award in Journalism at the great event.

Noida: It was only last year when the management of International Journalism Centre constituted under the leadership of Dr. Prof. Sandeep Marwah Global Cultural Minister, first ever Mahatma Gandhi National Award For Journalism for all those who all have contributed immensely in the field of journalism to mark respect to 12th February, the international Day of Journalism.

On the final day of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 five prominent personalities from the profession of journalism were honored in grand function from the international platform of Marwah Studios. P. K. Bajaj of Mayapuri, Kumkum Chadha of Hindustan Times, U. S. Sonthalia of Fame India, Arvind Kumar Singh of Rajya Sabha TV and Ramesh Chandra of Zee TV were the recipients of this most prestigious National Award.

“I am much obelized for this award, this gesture has added a new energy into my system. I thank IJC for recognizing my efforts,” said P.K.Bajaj Publisher and Editor of the oldest film magazine Mayapuri.

“This is a total surprise to me. Now I feel my 40 years service to journalism years has been recognized. This is the best thing happened to me,” said Kumkum Chadha writer & senior journalist from Hindustan Times.

“Journalism is my passion. I always believe in positive journalism. This award is for my whole team who has been supporting me from years,” added U.S. Sonthalia publisher and Editor of Fame India.

“I have seen ample years in journalism. I worked in many national news papers . and ups and downs of journalism. Today I feel complete with this Mahatma Gandhi National Award,” said Arvind Kumar Singh from Rajya Sabha TV.

“Nothing is more encouraging and satisfying than recognition of your hard efforts. I am astonished with the size of award I have been honored with. I am feeling short of words in expressing my happiness, ”said Ramesh Chandra Senior journalism from Zee TV.

The event was attended by large number of filmmakers, journalists, students, and people from different strata of life from all over India and abroad.

IJC Remembered Sardar Patel on International Journalism Day





Noida: International Journalism centre remembered   the great leader of the Nation Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel popularly known as Iron Man of India on 12th February- The International Day of Journalism during 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios. 

“It is the prime responsibility of every citizen to feel that his country is free and to defend its freedom is his duty. My only desire is that India should be a good producer and no one should be hungry, shedding tears for food in the country. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India The most historic and commendable achievement of Vallabhbhai was the integration of Five hundred sixty two princely states under the Indian union. Due to his powerful personality, princes were drawn towards Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for this Indian union. Sardar played a vital role in freedom of India. He was awarded with Bharat Ratna

A Powerful Seminar on Safety of Journalists at 8th Global Festival of Journalism



Noida: One sixth of the World stays in India. The media industry is also one of the biggest industries in the World. Journalism is a very lucrative as well as passionate profession but safety of the journalist is also becoming the point of worry and concern initiated Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre during 8th Global Festival of Journalism.

Raghvendra Kumar, Helmet Man only talked about the road safety-where Dr. Marwah condensed that we all must keep in mind to use Helmet while driving two wheeler, obey traffic lights and always give way to ambulance

 Dr. Sanjay Singh Baghel Media Expert, Delhi University shared some sensitive cases from history and ask journalists to be alert and aware of their circumstances and be vigilant about their surroundings.

Renzu Shah writer, social worker and Commissioner Scouts/guides Jammu and Kashmir spoke the real position of journalism in Kashmir. Dr. Poonam Arora, Professor from Grinnel College, USA explained the ways of journalism and journalist security of USA.

Paresh Rughani, International Motivational Speaker from United Kingdom talked about journalism in England. Anoop Bose filmmaker & Senior Lawyer Supreme Court compared the current situation to the past positions in India.Dr. Leila Mostofi, Founder Samt VMC, Iran spoke about the dying position of journalist in Iran. 

Richard Turner Historian & Professor from Michigan University USA gave a bird eye view of journalism in USA. Vijai Trivedi, Sr. Journalist, NDTV, Rajesh Badal, Senior Journalist, RSTV shared their own vast experiences with case studies.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented all the dignities with life membership of International Journalism Centre and Memento of GFJN.

Noida: Not very long ago International Journalism Centre with its vast membership all over the World decided to celebrate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism as there was no day marked earlier for one of the oldest profession of the World informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

“We all are gathered here to celebrate and to give respect to our own decision to commemorate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. To take this idea further we have been doing a grand show of journalism on the same date of 12th Feb. every year under the name and banner of Global Festival of Journalism, and today this is our 8th edition,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the inaugural function addressing huge audience from all over India and abroad.

 Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai, Narayanan Madhavan, renowned Journalist & Writer, Mophethe Sekamane Councellor Kingdom of  Lesotho., Ashok Tandon Member Prasar Bharti., Tirath Singh Rawat Member of Parliament,  H.E. K L Ganju Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister Consulate of Union of Comoros , H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana were present there to launch the poster of the day.

Noida: A dance recital by well-known odissi dancer Sharon Lowen was presented where she not only performed three different set of dances but also explained them in detail. It was a learning exercise for many media persons attending the same.

“It was a great decision to have an international star to perform Indian Dance. It has added a lot to the value of cultural program,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of   the festival. “This is my first performance at Marwah Studios. I never expected such a terrific response from the young generation,” said Sharon Lowen.

Sharon Lowen is an Odissi dancer, trained since 1975 by Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has performed and choreographed for film and television and presented hundreds of concerts throughout India, North America, Asia, Africa, the United Kingdom. and the Middle East.

Sharon came to India in 1973 after degrees in Humanities, Fine Arts, Asian Studies and Dance from the University of Michigan as a Fulbright Scholar to study Manipuri and later Chhau and Odissi.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah Presented     the life membership of International Journalism centre to Sharon along with memento of Global Festival of Journalism.

Noida: Exhibitions are always been part of all festivals. They are integrated section of all the Global Festivals designed by the international maestro Sandeep Marwah at Noida Film City the ground place of Marwah Studios and AAFT.

We have many departments working at the same time. Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, Audio, Video, Publication, Research, Design, Still Photography are some of them. This is the presentation of Mass Communication And Journalism Students who  have designed the cover page of News Papers,” explained Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the exhibition.

“The students are always very talented, but they need proper guidance to come up to the international standard. I appreciate the two scholarships which were presented by AAFT to Ghana Students have done wonders to their vision and caliber here,” said H.E. Michael A. A. Oquaye High Commissioner of Ghana to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp and thanking Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

“This is my third time in 30 days. A Marwah studio has a lot to offer to the World of Art and Culture. No one can compare to them in films, television and media presentation. I have never been to any Global Festival of Journalism ever in my life before,” K.L.Ganju Consulate General Embassy of Comoros in India appreciating the formation of Indo Comoros Film And Cultural Forum.

Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum is going to take part in every event designed by ICMEI. WE are here to promote our relations,” added Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affaires Embassy of Panama in India.

A seminar on Todays Journalism Scenario at 7th GFJN

Noida: After the grand opening of 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2019 a seminar was organized to discuss and talk about todays Journalism Scenario in India in different mediums of media.

“We have seen drastic changes since we have been in media for 33 years. ‘The change is the only thing which is constant’, so we have been adjusting our self to these changes. But a sudden and sweeping changes in media in last ten years brought revolution in the industry,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah initiating the discussion on the subject.

R.K.Singh former Engineer in Chief Doordarshan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India narrated some beautiful instances from his last experiences. Sanjay Singh Secretary Press Club of India and Political Editor News India also shared his experiences from journalism field.

AAFTian Rashid Hashmi now Editor in Chief FM TV News, Ajay Shukla Editor in Chief ITV Network and Vipin Gaur Editor Country And Politics and Secretary of News Paper Association of India spoke on the subject.

During the session a poster on Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was released to mark respect to truthful and Patriotic Journalism.  The first copy of news bulletin of day One, published and printed by the students of Asian School of Media Studies,  was also released.  Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored all the speakers with life membership of IJC-International Journalism Centre of Marwah Studios. Albeena Abbas conducted the event and Col. Pradeep Gupta paid vote of thanks.

Noida: An exhibition of still photographs by the students of Asian School of Media Studies were displayed at Studio at 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2019 inaugurated by the foreign dignities.

“Photographs are the everlasting memories, a still can speak 1000 words and don’t forget that Still photography is the base of all visual media,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while introducing the need of still photography for a media students.

“Still photographs have played the best role in persevering history and in highlighting best of the information to the whole World. In todays age no one can ignore still photography,” said Muhamed Cengic a professional photographer and Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India while inaugurating the   exhibition.

“We are now used to our still cameras, still photography is now become next to our nature from our habit. We must use camera for preserving best of the occasions,” added H.E. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India.

“The collection of pictures of different genre has added a lot to the exhibition. These hundred photographs are leaving new energy to this studio,” said Roman Masric Deputy Head of the Mission, Embassy of Czech Republic.

“The exhibition has induced me to start preparing for the exhibition of photographs from Singapore. These photographs teaching us a lot from different actions,” said P. Murugaesh Counselor High Commission of Republic of Singapore.

K.G.Suresh Director General Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Neeraj Thakur of Press Council of India, Sakshi Joshi of News 24 and many national and international delegates were also present there.

AAFT Scholarship Presented to Azerbaijan at 7th GFJN


AAFT Scholarship Presented to Ambassador of Azerbaijan


Noida: An Indian film institute AAFT presented scholarship of a short-term course to the student of Azerbaijan during the inauguration of 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2019.

“We are honored to present the scholarship of Asian Academy of Film And Television to Ambassador of Azerbaijan to handover to the deserving student from Azerbaijan on this auspicious day of International Day of Journalism to have better relation in media with their country,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“Indo Azerbaijan Film And Cultural Forum has been working in promoting and developing relation between two countries and so far has done commendable jobs   to do so. This is an another gesture and we accept it with grace,” said Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India.

Many dignities and media students attended the event from different countries of the world. 12th February is celebrated as the International Day of Journalism.

7th Global Festival of Journalism on 12th to 14th February

Noida: One of the most exclusive festivals of the World-The 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida is going to start from 12th February to 14th February at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City from 10am to late evening.

The festival will highlight extra ordinary topics on journalism by way of Workshops, seminars, talks, and interaction programs by the journalist joining from all over the World. The most important is that festival and its management has declared 12th February as the International Day of Journalism eight years back and festival is there to mark respect to the historical date.
