Exhibition of Photographs by Muhamed Cengic at 7th GLFN

New Delhi: Photographs are the everlasting memories. One picture is 1000 words. Photography is a way of feeling, way of touching and way of loving. The best part is that they are loyal to you as they don’t change ever though the person or the place you had clicked can change drastically,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at the inauguration of photography exhibition on the second day of 7th Global Literary Festival Noida 202.

“I have been in photography for many years. It is my hobby and I do spare time from my work to click pictures. When you click they are ordinary when you see them they look rare. Photography is an art of observation. It is about finding something interesting in an ordinary place,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India while explaining his pieces of art.

“I love photographs. I enjoy finding out the depth in every picture clicked and hanged    at exhibition. These pictures are out of the World. Photographs are the base of every creative work,” said K.L.Ganju Honorary Consul General of Comoros in India.

“Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures,” added Arijit  Bhattacharya Serial Entrepreneur Angel investor and founder World Leader Summit.

“Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is expressed spoken by Aigerim Zhakypbekova Attache (Cosul) Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in India appreciating every picture of Muhamed Cengic.

 “In the world of photography, you get to share a captured moment with other people To me, photography must suggest, not insist or explain” said Ritu Bhagat Educationist and Author. Sushil Bharti Festival Director proposed vote of thanks.

Noida: Not very long ago International Journalism Centre with its vast membership all over the World decided to celebrate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism as there was no day marked earlier for one of the oldest profession of the World informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

“We all are gathered here to celebrate and to give respect to our own decision to commemorate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. To take this idea further we have been doing a grand show of journalism on the same date of 12th Feb. every year under the name and banner of Global Festival of Journalism, and today this is our 8th edition,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the inaugural function addressing huge audience from all over India and abroad.

 Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai, Narayanan Madhavan, renowned Journalist & Writer, Mophethe Sekamane Councellor Kingdom of  Lesotho., Ashok Tandon Member Prasar Bharti., Tirath Singh Rawat Member of Parliament,  H.E. K L Ganju Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister Consulate of Union of Comoros , H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana were present there to launch the poster of the day.

Exhibition of Photographs Inaugurated at 8th GFJN


Noida: One Hundred Photographers from all over India participated in the grand photography exhibition titled “AN EYE’ planned during 8th Global Festival of Journalism at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“It is the custom at Marwah Studios to have an exhibition in every major festival. This time one Hundred photographers from AAFT School of Photography submitted their best work for the exhibition. It was difficult for the department to choose pictures for the show as all of them were very exclusive,” introduced the exhibition by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre, ICMEI and AAFT at the inauguration of 8th Global Festival.

“What a collection! I am sure no picture could have been rejected,” encouraged by H.E. Muhamed Cengic an international photographer and Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“I can see the variety of work, portraits, animals, historical monuments, public, flowers this shows the depth of knowledge of the photographers and their varied interests,” motivated H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, Ambassador of Romania to India

“What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that's gone forever, impossible to reproduce,” added Ashok Tandon, Member, Prasar Bharti.

8th Global Festival of Journalism Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

Noida: The most exclusive festival, first of its kind in Asia and second in the World saw the grand opening of its 8th edition at Noida Film City hosted by    Marwah Studios.

The colorful flags of different nations were quite inviting and speaking about the international presence at the festival. In total 56 countries have been part of this festival where as delegates from all the 28 states and 9 union territories were present in the festival.

“ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-and International Journalism Centre together have designed this festival to mark respect to the decision of having International Day of Journalism on 12th February which was declared nine years back by our association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Global Festival of Journalism.

Media creates perception, time has come when all mediums of media keep in mind the unity and integrity of the nation should not be at stake when they write or speak and show any coverage. Country is definitely bigger than profession,” said Tirath Singh Rawat Member Parliament Lok Sabha and Secretary BJP.

“I appreciate the bye line   given to this festival-Love Peace And Unity Through Art And Culture. Positive journalism can bring new ife to the relations,” said H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

“Do your research well before you write a piece for press. Your deep research can bring correct information to the reader. People still believe blindly   what all has been printed or shown on television.  You have a great responsibility towards reader and viewer,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, one time journalist and now Ambassador of Romania to India.

“A media person must aware of his duties and responsibilities. More than that he should also be attentive towards media laws. His coverage can provoke and can depress the masses. A balanced and researched news or article for any medium is always useful,” said H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye,  lawyer and High Commissioner Republic of Ghana to India.

“What a unique festival, never ever heard like this in any other country. Journalist should remember that mediums are for three major reasons Information, Education and Entertainment as per Press council of India. Always keep a balance between the three,” said K L Ganju, Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister, Consulate of Union of Comoros

“Tremendous changes can be brought with the help of media. Positive journalism can bring prosperity in every field be it a government or private sector,” said HE Carlos Polo, Ambassador of Peru to India

H.E. Muhamed Cengic, Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India., Ashok Tandon Senior Journalist & Member Prasar Bharti, Mophethe Sekamane Counsellor High Commission of Kingdom of Lesotho, Narayanan Madhavan renowned Journalist & Writer, Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai also expressed their views in detail.

A poster was launched to mark respect to 12th February as International Day of Journalism. Earlier the dignitaries inaugurated an exhibition of photographs. Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented all the Luminaries with life membership of International Journalism Centre and memento of the festival as souvenir. Albeena Abbas Director Department of Journalism conducted the program.

First Bosnian Film Festival Inaugurated At Marwah Studios

Noida: Three days festival of Films from Bosnia And Herzegovina was inaugurated today at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City with great pomp and show.

“Under Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum It was decided at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to have a festival of films in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts and invite people from film, television, media art and culture fraternity. Bosnian films have brought many accolades in different international festivals,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

The event started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Lt. General K.M. Seth former Governor of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura who congratulated Embassy of Bosnia And Herzegovina for opting the best venue-- Marwah Studios for the first film festival of Bosnian Films. ”I am aware that Bosnia produces 5to 6 films in a year but every film is a piece of art,” said Lt. Gen. K. M. Seth.

“We have brought best six films with two most popular film directors from Bosnia to interact with Indian audience. We all are witness to history as this is the first film festival of Bosnian films in India. Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is thankful to ICMEI and Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum for taking initiative in organizing this festival,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India.

“Bosnian Films mat not be big in numbers but they have been part of Academy Awards in USA and Cannes film Festival in France. We have pre war movies and post war movies,” explained Farouk Loncarevic renowned film director from Bosnia.

“Film is my passion and I am teaching films too. Opening of the festival in film University is a wonderful idea. We have the right audience for the films,” added Aida Begic screen play writer and film director from Bosnia.

Later Dr. Kcalpana Bhushan renowned Bharatha Natyam exponent presented a dance recital and Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to the distinguished guests and membership of Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum to other members.

The festival started with The perfect Circle, 1997 directed by Ademir Kenovic and will also showcase Walter Defends Sarajevo, 1972 directed by Hajrudin Kravac, Fuse (Gori Vatra), 2003 directed by Pjer Zalica, An Episode in the Life of Iron Picker, 2013 directed by Danis Tanovic, Mom (Sa Mamom), 2014 directed by Faruk Loncarevic and Never Leave Me, 2017 by Aida Begic Zubcevic.

Muhamed Cengic the Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India for his untiring contribution to the promotion of Indo Bosnia relations through arts and culture.

“We have decided to honor Dr. Sandeep Marwah as he is the first one to initiate for the formation of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum and has been working for the better relation between two countries since then,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic and handed over the plaque to Marwah in a   function to welcome new Ambassador to International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Bosnia And Herzegovina Signed MoU With ICMEI For Business Promotion

Noida: A standing ovation was given to the H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina on signing Memorandum of   Understanding with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment when India and Bosnia     have decided to work together to promote arts and culture of both the countries.
The event took place at Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

“The MoU is covering development of journalism, Radio, Television, Cinema, Tourism, Animation, Hospitality, Fashion, Design, Performing and Fine Arts, Skill Development, Environment, Solar Energy etc. in both the countries India and Bosnia,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We have been dealing with Dr. Marwah and ICMEI from last four years. We have full confidence in his capacity and capability. His experience in these fields will bring faster results in building up powerful relation between two countries,” said H.E. Cengic Mohamed Ambassador of Bosnia to India.

“I am feeling honored to honor Dr. Sandeep Marwah an international personality by presenting this memento of appreciation for his deep interest in the country of Bosnia,” said Ambassador while honoring Dr. Marwah in the presence of many media persons present on the occasion.

Dr. Sandeep informed that a special student committee has been formed in Asian Education Group who all are working on the subjects like fashion, tourism, cinema and have prepared a research book for Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum created by H.E. Sabit Subasic the former Ambassador to India. A copy of the report was also handed over to Mr. Cengic.

A poster was released to mark respect to the completion of first year of formation of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum. Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI briefed the Ambassador with the details of last activities under IBFCF.

A visit of media delegation to Bosnia, a festival of films from Bosnia, an AAFT scholarship for the deserving student from Bosnia and participation in 7th Global Festival of Journalism are the points discussed in the meeting.

“I am happy to be the Chair of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum nominated by the Government of Bosnia and assure you that we will leave no stone unturned to make it a popular and powerful organization,” thanked Dr. Sandeep Marwah and presented Patronship to the new Ambassador H.E. Noida: On the first visit of H.E. Muhamed Cengic the new Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to the International Head Quarters of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry signed MoU to promote art and culture between two countries.

“I know ICMEI has a wonderful relation with Embassy of Bosnia in India and we are working together for the common cause  of building powerful relation between two countries. Indo Bosnia Film & Cultural Forum has completed one year of its existence, we have to move forward,” said Ambassador Cengic.

We are pleased to honor Ambassador with the Patronship of the form as we will be able to work faster under his leadership,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI while handing over the certificate of Patronship to Ambassador.

Ambassador Muhamed Cengic presented his credentials to H.E. Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India, on 7 th December 2018.

Ambassador Muhamed Cengic is a career diplomat with more than two decades of experience in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Service. Prior to his current assignment, he served as Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Indonesia, Republic of Singapore and DR Timor Leste.

Ambassador Muhamed Cengic pursued Faculty of Political Science at Sarajevo University, Bosnia and Herzegovina and diplomatic training course from Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Kula Lumpur, Malaysia. His Interest includes photography, bee keeping. Apart from Bosnian language, Ambassador Muhamed Cengic speaks English and Russian.

The remarkable opening of 6th Global Festival of Journalism was followed by the launching of Indo Bosnia Cultural Forum at Noida Film City where media persons from all over India and abroad were present to see the auspicious launch by the international dignities.

Well known media personality and world record holder Sandeep Marwah was honored and nominated as the Chairperson of this forum as he has been well aware of international relations between two countries. H.E. Sabit Subasic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina was offered Patron ship of the forum.

The event was witnessed by veteran journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu from Teesside University UK, Kumar Mohan Editor Complete Cinema from Mumbai and renowned PR Consultant Himanshu Zhunzhunwala.

“There is a need of these kind of organizations which can work people to people of the country and bring them close to each other through arts and cultural events,” said H.E. Sabit Subasic.
