Exhibition of Award-Winning Still Photographs Inaugurated at Marwah Studios on International Journalism Day

Noida Film City, India: An inspiring exhibition of award-winning still photographs created by the talented students of the AAFT School of Photography was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Marwah Studios on the occasion of International Journalism Day, celebrated during the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026.

The prestigious exhibition was inaugurated by a distinguished panel of eminent personalities including Veteran Sports Journalist Vimal Kumar, Media Strategic Advisor Amitabh Srivastav, Ilie Surulescu from the Embassy of Romania, Ravi Kant Mittal, Editor-in-Chief of IBC24 News, Cdr. K. L. Ganju, Hon. Consul of the Union of Comoros, Sanjeev Paliwal, Senior Journalist from Sahitya Aaj Tak, Ntsukunyane Daniel Tsenoli from the High Commission of Lesotho, and Dr. Rabindra Narayan Behera, Member of Parliament.

The exhibition showcased a remarkable collection of still photographs capturing powerful moments, social narratives, human emotions, nature, culture, and contemporary issues. The artistic depth, technical precision, and storytelling ability of the students received immense appreciation from guests and visitors from across India and abroad.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, emphasized the timeless value of still photography in media and creative education. He stated: “Still photography is an integral part of every discipline taught at AAFT — including Cinema, Journalism, Animation, Fashion, Digital Media, and Interior Design. A strong foundation in photography enhances visual sensitivity and storytelling across all creative domains.”

He further added his reflections on the art form: “Photographs are everlasting memories.” “One picture is equal to a thousand words.” Dr. Marwah highlighted that photography remains one of the most powerful tools of journalism, preserving history and presenting truth with clarity and impact. The exhibition served as a vibrant reminder of the role visual media plays in shaping public perception and documenting society.

The event concluded with enthusiastic interactions between students and dignitaries, reinforcing AAFT’s commitment to nurturing creative excellence and professional standards in visual arts. The exhibition stands as a testament to the growing influence of photography within journalism and media education, strengthening Noida Film City’s position as a global hub of creative innovation.

Noida Film City, India: The electrifying inauguration of the Esport Xtream Champions League marked yet another milestone during the prestigious Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The dynamic event was organized by the AAFT School of Animation, bringing together distinguished dignitaries, media stalwarts, diplomats, and gaming enthusiasts from India and abroad.

9th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2025 – Third Day Opens with International Flair and Creative Brilliance

Noida, India – June 1, 2025: The third day of the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, held at the vibrant Marwah Studios, began with a spectacular showcase of talent, cultural diversity, and innovative fashion interpretations by the students of AAFT School of Fashion and Design. The morning show featured garments inspired by various countries, celebrating global aesthetics with youthful creativity.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), expressed his pride and admiration for the students. “Hard work always pays off. The investment of time, labor, and commitment by our students has resulted in a phenomenal response. I feel proud to say that every designer presenting today has been trained by AAFT,” Dr. Marwah remarked.

The distinguished guests at the show included: Chef Ranojit Kundu, Raman Dutta, Consultant for Taking Local Brands Global, Tanuja Sinha Roy, Founder of Swtantra Brands & President (North), Brands & Sourcing Leaders Association, Dr. Dewakar Goel, Renowned Author, Deepak Saraf, Director, DIGITEK, Sunil Arora, Global Advisor on Apparel & Fashion Industry Technologies

The fashion runway dazzled with a diverse mix of cultural interpretations through garments such as: Romanian evening wear by Shrishti, Smart wear for Oman by Twinkle, Smart casuals for Cyprus by Harshita Kumari, Streetwear for Chile by Purnima Saini, Smartwear reflecting the Philippines by Kashish and Khushi Sharma, Streetwear inspired by Uruguay by Jyoti Baisala, Elegant ball gowns for Ireland by Kanan Agarwal, Tarajit Kaur, and Nisha, Ethnic wear showcasing Mongolia by Deepmoni Das

A notable highlight of the day was the launch of the Coffee Table Book titled Under the Campus Lights by Ms. Harshitaa Jain, celebrating the vibrancy and spirit of campus life through fashion, creativity, and storytelling.

The third day’s first show stood as a testament to AAFT’s commitment to global exposure, cultural integration, and skillful design education, further enriching the legacy of GFDW Noida.

New Noida Film City Part of 13th Global Film Festival

Noida: “We are lucky to have now the extension of a film city in Noida. Its been 30 years we have been nurturing and cultivating the city. The existing film city has become the fastest growing film city in this part of the World. Seventy-five acres outdoor and twenty-five acres indoors with sixteen studios, are house to three hundred fifty channels. Seventeen thousand media professionals are working in the city and center is catering to more than hundred thousand people as far as bread earning is concerned,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah founder of film city and President of Global Film Festival Noida.

“I may not be directly connected to Noida Film City but I know that Indo Romanian Film And  Cultural Relations have taken a new shape being started from Marwah Studios of Noida Film City,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre Ambassador of Romania to India while talking about  Romanian political, cultural and economic ties with India in the capacity of Chief Guest.” I presume that Noida Film City Extension is going to be the biggest film city of India which you all need being the biggest film producers of the World,” added Radhu Dobre.

“Uttar Pradesh has everything what a film maker is looking for. Infrastructure, man power, a powerful film institution, aptitude towards cinema, Cinema lovers and goers, locations, historical monuments, buildings, villages, city and government subsidy. The new film city is going to be a great success,” said Tarun Kumar CA & advisor to Ministry of Finance.

“The most important thing is to have a professional attitude towards film making. Rest everything can be managed. The new film city in Noida will bring boom in film production in this part of the country. It is no way competition to Mumbai film business,” said Pankuj Parashar renowned film maker from Mumbai.

Popular music director Dilip Sen, film journalist and AAFT Alumnus Romail Gulzar from London, casting Director Sushma Kaul, film Director Sanjeev Tyagi and actor Priyanka Chauhan also expressed their views on the subject. The program was conducted by Albeena and festival director Ashok Tyagi paid vote of thanks.

The festival is presented by International Film & Television Club of Marwah Studios in association with International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry and AAFT University of Media & Arts.

ICMEI hosts webinar on Indo Romanian relations

ICMEI Webinar on Indo Romanian Relations

A powerful webinar on Indo Romanian relations was hosted by ICMEI in association with the Indo Romania Film and Cultural Forum. H E Radu Octavian Dobre, Ambassador, Embassy of Romania in India was the honourable speaker who expressed his views on the subject. H E Dobre also spoke on the situation of the Corona 19 pandemic in his country and the developmental policies taken up by the Romanian Government during this testing time.

Mr. Dobre stated that the indo Romanian relations were established in the year 1948 which were upgraded to embassy level in 1955 with the opening of the Romanian embassy in India. Indian embassy came up in Bucharest in 1957. Romania imports electric machines, devices and equipment, common metals, chemicals and allied industrial products and many other commodities from India and exports common metals, sound and image displayers and recorders, chemicals and connected industrial products and many other commodities to India. Mr. Dobre also put forth the economical figures and the bilateral relations enjoyed by both the countries. He said that his country was also fighting against terrorism.

He said that both the countries were also very much close to each other culturally and over a thousand Indians are presently residing in India. During the interactive session Mr. Dobre spoke about the tourism of Romania which has already started with the hotels and beaches opening up in his country. A number of Indian films have also been shot in Romania and the people are huge fans of Indian film stars since the time of Raj Kapoor. He also expressed his views on the higher education in Romania. He stated that corona has been very much controlled in his country with less than 50,000 people getting affected with around 2000 deaths.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI also the Chairperson of Indo Romania Film and Cultural Forum thanked the Ambassador for accepting his invitation to attend the webinar while Mr. Ashok Tyagi, Secretary General ICMEI paid the formal vote of thanks.

Noida: Not very long ago International Journalism Centre with its vast membership all over the World decided to celebrate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism as there was no day marked earlier for one of the oldest profession of the World informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

“We all are gathered here to celebrate and to give respect to our own decision to commemorate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. To take this idea further we have been doing a grand show of journalism on the same date of 12th Feb. every year under the name and banner of Global Festival of Journalism, and today this is our 8th edition,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the inaugural function addressing huge audience from all over India and abroad.

 Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai, Narayanan Madhavan, renowned Journalist & Writer, Mophethe Sekamane Councellor Kingdom of  Lesotho., Ashok Tandon Member Prasar Bharti., Tirath Singh Rawat Member of Parliament,  H.E. K L Ganju Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister Consulate of Union of Comoros , H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana were present there to launch the poster of the day.

Noida: One Hundred Photographers from all over India participated in the grand photography exhibition titled “AN EYE’ planned during 8th Global Festival of Journalism at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“It is the custom at Marwah Studios to have an exhibition in every major festival. This time one Hundred photographers from AAFT School of Photography submitted their best work for the exhibition. It was difficult for the department to choose pictures for the show as all of them were very exclusive,” introduced the exhibition by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre, ICMEI and AAFT at the inauguration of 8th Global Festival.

“What a collection! I am sure no picture could have been rejected,” encouraged by H.E. Muhamed Cengic an international photographer and Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“I can see the variety of work, portraits, animals, historical monuments, public, flowers this shows the depth of knowledge of the photographers and their varied interests,” motivated H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, Ambassador of Romania to India

“Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is, Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving,” said H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye, High Commissioner Republic of Ghana

8th Global Festival of Journalism Inaugurated at Marwah Studios


Inauguration of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020

Noida: The most exclusive festival, first of its kind in Asia and second in the World saw the grand opening of its 8th edition at Noida Film City hosted by    Marwah Studios.

The colorful flags of different nations were quite inviting and speaking about the international presence at the festival. In total 56 countries have been part of this festival where as delegates from all the 28 states and 9 union territories were present in the festival.

“ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-and International Journalism Centre together have designed this festival to mark respect to the decision of having International Day of Journalism on 12th February which was declared nine years back by our association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Global Festival of Journalism.

Media creates perception, time has come when all mediums of media keep in mind the unity and integrity of the nation should not be at stake when they write or speak and show any coverage. Country is definitely bigger than profession,” said Tirath Singh Rawat Member Parliament Lok Sabha and Secretary BJP.

“I appreciate the bye line   given to this festival-Love Peace And Unity Through Art And Culture. Positive journalism can bring new ife to the relations,” said H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

“Do your research well before you write a piece for press. Your deep research can bring correct information to the reader. People still believe blindly   what all has been printed or shown on television.  You have a great responsibility towards reader and viewer,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, one time journalist and now Ambassador of Romania to India.

“A media person must aware of his duties and responsibilities. More than that he should also be attentive towards media laws. His coverage can provoke and can depress the masses. A balanced and researched news or article for any medium is always useful,” said H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye,  lawyer and High Commissioner Republic of Ghana to India.

“What a unique festival, never ever heard like this in any other country. Journalist should remember that mediums are for three major reasons Information, Education and Entertainment as per Press council of India. A poster was launched to mark respect to 12th February as International Day of Journalism. Earlier the dignitaries inaugurated an exhibition of photographs. Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented all the Luminaries with life membership of International Journalism Centre and memento of the festival as souvenir. Albeena Abbas Director Department of Journalism conducted the program.

International Day of Sport For Development And Peace Celebrated

Noida: “Sport as a universal language can be a powerful tool to promote peace, tolerance and understanding by bringing people together across boundaries, cultures and religions,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Global Ambassador of IHRO affiliated to United Nations at the event to celebrate International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

 “Its intrinsic values such as teamwork, fairness, discipline, respect for the opponent and the rules of the game are understood all over the world and can be harnessed in the advancement of solidarity, social cohesion and peaceful coexistence,” added Dr. Marwah also Patron to IFUNA- Indian Federation of United Nations Associations.

“Sport programmes permit encounters on neutral territory and in an environment where aggression can be controlled, regulated and transformed and hence facilitates rapprochement and reconciliation between opposing parties,” said Alex Teodorescu a film maker from Romania at the function while releasing the poster to mark respect to the day.

“Although sport alone cannot stop or solve an acute conflict, it represents a flexible and cost-effective medium for post-conflict relief work and peace building as well as conflict prevention,” said Andra Axentoi film promoter from Romania at Marwah Studios.

“Sport is also an important enabler of sustainable development. We recognize the growing contribution of sport to the realization of development and peace in its promotion of tolerance and respect and the contributions it makes to the empowerment of women and of young people, individuals and communities as well as to health, education and social inclusion objectives,” a message by Secretary General United Nations read by Sudhir Ranjan of AAFT University of Media And Arts.
