Inauguration of Exhibition of Still Photography at 10th Global Literary Festival 

Noida, India – October 2024:
 The 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024 marked the grand inauguration of an inspiring Exhibition of Still Photography, curated by the students of the AAFT School of Still Photography. Held at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, the exhibition brought together a large and diverse audience of art lovers, literary figures, and diplomats, celebrating the beauty of photography as an art form.

The exhibition was formally inaugurated by several distinguished guests from the literary and diplomatic communities, including Ms. Priyanka Sharma Kaintura, renowned author; Ms. Neena Wagh, acclaimed playwright, poet, and translator; Ms. Smita Mishra, well-known author; and Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia. Joining them were Ms. Ana Doborjginidze, Minister Counsellor from the Embassy of Georgia; Yahya Al Dughaishi, Counsellor, Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman; Ms. Ekaterina Lazareva, Cultural & Educational Attaché, Embassy of Russia; and Mr. Marcos Sperandio, Charge d’Affaires, Embassy of Brazil.

Speaking about the exhibition, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and founder of the Global Literary Festival, expressed his deep appreciation for the art of still photography. “Still photography captures moments in time, freezing emotions and stories within a frame. It allows us to see the world through different perspectives, and I am proud of the creativity and talent displayed by the students of the AAFT School of Still Photography,” said Dr. Marwah.

The exhibition was highly appreciated for its diversity in themes, styles, and techniques, showcasing the students’ ability to evoke powerful narratives through their lenses. A poster to mark respect to Photography under the title ‘Photo Tatav’ was also released. The event was supported by the Asian Academy of Arts, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), and the Writers Association of India, further promoting the importance of cultural and artistic exchanges.

The exhibition, designed and curated by the talented students of the AAFT School of Fine Arts, added an artistic flair to the festival, highlighting creativity, innovation, and cultural expression.

The exhibition was formally inaugurated by prominent figures from the literary and diplomatic worlds, including Ms. Priyanka Sharma Kaintura, renowned author; Ms. Neena Wagh, acclaimed playwright, poet, and translator; Ms. Smita Mishra, well-known author; and Her Excellency Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia. The exhibition, which features a wide array of captivating artworks, was lauded by the attendees for its depth and creativity. The pieces on display reflect the diverse perspectives of the young artists, making the exhibition a dynamic and integral component of the festival.

AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism Celebrates International Cuisine from Slovenia, Peru, and Namibia at 8th Global Fashion Week

Noida, India – The second day of the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week at Marwah Studios was marked by a spectacular showcase of international cuisine from Slovenia, Peru, and Namibia. The event, which took place during the first session of the day, was inaugurated by a distinguished panel of ambassadors: H.E. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh (Ambassador of Slovenia), H.E. Javier Paulinich (Ambassador of Peru to India), and H.E. Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo (High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia).

The food festival was a vibrant celebration of global culinary traditions, supported by the Indo Slovenia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum, and Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. The aim was to foster cultural exchange and appreciation through the medium of food.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, opened the event by introducing the chefs and highlighting the importance of such cultural initiatives. He stated, “The integration of diverse cuisines at this festival not only enriches our cultural experiences but also educates our students about global hospitality standards. This platform allows us to celebrate the richness of international culinary arts.”

H.E. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh, Ambassador of Slovenia, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, saying, “It is a pleasure to see Slovenian cuisine being showcased in such a prestigious setting. H.E. Javier Paulinich, Ambassador of Peru to India, shared his appreciation, “The Peruvian dishes prepared today reflect the authentic flavors and traditions of our country. I am impressed by the dedication and skill of the AAFT students. This event not only promotes culinary excellence but also strengthens our cultural ties.”

H.E. Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo, High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia, also praised the initiative, “Seeing Namibian cuisine being celebrated here in India is heartwarming. The students have done an excellent job in presenting our traditional dishes. This kind of cultural exchange is vital for fostering mutual respect and understanding among nations.”

The food festival featured a stunning array of dishes, each reflecting the unique culinary heritage of the participating countries. The colorful presentations and authentic flavors captivated the attendees, who included a large number of dignitaries from India and abroad. The event provided a platform for the students of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism to demonstrate their culinary prowess and engage with international guests.

Noida: “Every film maker has to keep in mind that Cinema is the powerful way to promote tourism. Wherever you are going to shoot film, it will automatically become the tourist destination for time to come. We have executed our bit of responsibility when we gave a new word of “Film Tourism” to English dictionary thirty years back, people were not aware of this term, now every country is talking about film tourism. Marwah Studios and its filmi activities at Noida film city have attracted more than two million people to this destination and thereby adding enough tourism to Noida,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios addressing film community at 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020.

“India and Slovenia are sharing a beautiful friendship and together the business and trade have gone much more in last few years. Slovenia invites you all and offer some of the finest places on earth. It’s a beautiful nation with extra ordinary natural and picturesque locations. The government is taking special care of film units and large subsidies are also provided to film makers,” said H.E. Dr. Marjen Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India giving many examples of film shootings in Slovenia.

“Indian film industry has grown big and needs different locations for shooting not only films, but also tele serials, music videos etc. and all that brings India and rest of the world close to each other. Films have power to attract tourists even from remote areas,” said Rajan Sehgal Chairman of TAAI Skill & Education.

 “Cinema should be the priority sector while designing policy of tourism. New ways to attract people to new destinations must be popularize,” said Raju Pareskar renowned film director who also mentioned many figures which have changed in particular cities after film shootings at those places.

“Indian cinema has done a commendable job of introducing India to Indians. Cinema is more powerful than government or other private efforts to make destinations more popular. It starts with Mumbai and hundreds of gorgeous and amazing Indian places you can see in films. It has taken India to abroad,” said Kamlesh Pandey renowned screen play writer.

“East or west, home is the best. All film locations have to be provided with best of the facilities to attract tourism. Only list of shooting locations may not attract many people,” said Farhad Frountanion renowned screen writer & film maker from Holland making everyone cautious about the concept.

 Anoop Bose Lawyer Supreme Court and film maker, Sanchi Rai actor, Nilesh Malhotra actor & film producer also spoke on the occasion. A poster representing Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum was also released during the seminar.

ICMEI Celebrated National Day of Slovenia


New Delhi: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with ISFCF- Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum celebrated the National Day of Slovenia falls on 25th June on Web as no event could be organized owing to the pandemic Corona Virus.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India and the people of Slovenia on the National Day of Slovenia. India and Slovenia have an excellent relation.  The visit of our President Shri Ram Nath Kovind to Slovenia last year enhanced the relationship to new level. we are keen to deepen this people-to-people contact  through cultural exchanges,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Chair for ISFCF.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has allotted a special space in Radio Noida and MSTV for Indo Slovenian relations. “The two mediums will high light and propagate our relations with Slovenia. We will soon start broadcasting Slovenian programs,” added Dr. Marwah.

Noida: Not very long ago International Journalism Centre with its vast membership all over the World decided to celebrate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism as there was no day marked earlier for one of the oldest profession of the World informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

“We all are gathered here to celebrate and to give respect to our own decision to commemorate 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. To take this idea further we have been doing a grand show of journalism on the same date of 12th Feb. every year under the name and banner of Global Festival of Journalism, and today this is our 8th edition,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the inaugural function addressing huge audience from all over India and abroad.

 Komal Nahta, Film Critic & Journalist from Mumbai, Narayanan Madhavan, renowned Journalist & Writer, Mophethe Sekamane Councellor Kingdom of  Lesotho., Ashok Tandon Member Prasar Bharti., Tirath Singh Rawat Member of Parliament,  H.E. K L Ganju Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister Consulate of Union of Comoros , H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye High Commissioner of Republic of Ghana were present there to launch the poster of the day.

Exhibition of Photographs Inaugurated at 8th GFJN


Noida: One Hundred Photographers from all over India participated in the grand photography exhibition titled “AN EYE’ planned during 8th Global Festival of Journalism at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“It is the custom at Marwah Studios to have an exhibition in every major festival. This time one Hundred photographers from AAFT School of Photography submitted their best work for the exhibition. It was difficult for the department to choose pictures for the show as all of them were very exclusive,” introduced the exhibition by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre, ICMEI and AAFT at the inauguration of 8th Global Festival.

“What a collection! I am sure no picture could have been rejected,” encouraged by H.E. Muhamed Cengic an international photographer and Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“I can see the variety of work, portraits, animals, historical monuments, public, flowers this shows the depth of knowledge of the photographers and their varied interests,” motivated H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, Ambassador of Romania to India

“Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is, Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving,” said H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye, High Commissioner Republic of Ghana

“Photography is more than just a skill or talent; it's a passion that needs constant fulfillment,” said HE Carlos Polo, Ambassador of Peru to India

8th Global Festival of Journalism Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

Noida: The most exclusive festival, first of its kind in Asia and second in the World saw the grand opening of its 8th edition at Noida Film City hosted by    Marwah Studios.

The colorful flags of different nations were quite inviting and speaking about the international presence at the festival. In total 56 countries have been part of this festival where as delegates from all the 28 states and 9 union territories were present in the festival.

“ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry-and International Journalism Centre together have designed this festival to mark respect to the decision of having International Day of Journalism on 12th February which was declared nine years back by our association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Global Festival of Journalism.

Media creates perception, time has come when all mediums of media keep in mind the unity and integrity of the nation should not be at stake when they write or speak and show any coverage. Country is definitely bigger than profession,” said Tirath Singh Rawat Member Parliament Lok Sabha and Secretary BJP.

“I appreciate the bye line   given to this festival-Love Peace And Unity Through Art And Culture. Positive journalism can bring new ife to the relations,” said H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen, Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

“Do your research well before you write a piece for press. Your deep research can bring correct information to the reader. People still believe blindly   what all has been printed or shown on television.  You have a great responsibility towards reader and viewer,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre, one time journalist and now Ambassador of Romania to India.

“A media person must aware of his duties and responsibilities. More than that he should also be attentive towards media laws. His coverage can provoke and can depress the masses. A balanced and researched news or article for any medium is always useful,” said H.E. Mr. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye,  lawyer and High Commissioner Republic of Ghana to India.

“What a unique festival, never ever heard like this in any other country. Journalist should remember that mediums are for three major reasons Information, Education and Entertainment as per Press council of India. Always keep a balance between the three,” said K L Ganju, Honorary Consul General & Advisor to the Foreign Minister, Consulate of Union of Comoros

“Tremendous changes can be brought with the help of media. Positive journalism can bring prosperity in every field be it a government or private sector,” said HE Carlos Polo, Ambassador of Peru to India

A poster was launched to mark respect to 12th February as International Day of Journalism. Earlier the dignitaries inaugurated an exhibition of photographs. Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented all the Luminaries with life membership of International Journalism Centre and memento of the festival as souvenir. Albeena Abbas Director Department of Journalism conducted the program.

Ivan Lancaric Now Patron To Indo Slovakia Cultural Forum

New Delhi: The President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair for Indo Slovakia Film And Cultural Forum visited Embassy of Slovakia to meet and discuss the activities of the forum.

“We would like to take this opportunity to present the Patronship of ISFCF to H.E. Ivan Lancaric Ambassador of Slovakia to India and to guide us for the betterment of relation between the two countries through art and culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah while presenting the memento to the Ambassador.

“I am honored to be the part of the organization and would like to do a lot one by one so that every event should leave a large impact on the people of both the nations,” said Ivan Lancaric Ambassador of Slovakia to India while accepting the Patronship.

Dr. Marwah submitted the proposal of Scholarship for the deserving student from Slovakia from AAFT University, A festival of films from Slovakia, time slot on radio station- Radio Noida, programs on MSTV, students exchange, faculty exchange, University affiliations etc. were the major points   discussed in the meeting.

Dr. Marwah was accompanied with the secretary General of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry. A short film on the visit of Dr. Marwah to Embassy was also part of the agenda of that day.

National Day of Slovenia Celebrated at Marwah Studios

Noida: Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts celebrated the National Day of Slovenia at Marwah Studios.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Jožef Drofenik Ambassador of Slovenia to India and the people of Slovenia on the National Day. Mat this day bring lots of energy and power to built better relations Between the two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair for Indo Slovenia Cultural Forum.

ICMEI is planning to take a delegation to Slovenia soon to study the prospects of filming in Slovenia. Also a film festival of Slovenian films has been planned. A poster was launched by Dr. Marwah mark respect to this auspicious day. Many media professionals and film students attended the event. New committees on Slovenia have been formed in the school of cinema, school of journalism and school of fashion and design in AAFT.
