The highest honour of HINDI CINEMA MAHANAYAK was instituted  in the 4th edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh by bestowing the title of HINDI CINEMA MAHANAYAK upon the one and only Respected Shri Dilip Kumar Sahab on the final and third day of 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020.

OTT Channels Talked About at 13th Global Film Festival Noida

Noida: “The emergence of OTT has disrupted the entertainment sector. It has made movie-watching convenient, accessible and affordable across a wider segment of the users. Anybody with a mobile phone and internet connection can catch-up with a movie sitting anywhere in the world.,” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios at the seminar conducted during 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020.

“OTT has kept us everyone busy during pandemic. The current market trends have taught us to be a choosy buyer, by default, it is now going to apply to cinema also but this will lead to better and subjects out of box. Theatres will have its own market, OTT is going to add to new viewership,” said Rahul Mittra renowned film maker from Mumbai.

AAFT Alumnus Masoom Singh Actor and Producer talked about the visibility and convenience of watching films at OTT Platforms.  He also emphasised on the retaining of creative shorts and you don’t have to go through censor board.

“This platform has provided the availability of best of the art at home during this pandemic. Some the films which I missed I could see during lockdowns. Best of the quality and  films at your command is the new principle of watching films. The new content has wider market other than big screen and existing channels,” said Keshav Panerly film maker

“Film makers have open platform to express themselves, there is no pressure as such on film of being with deleted shorts  or edited by some other agency,” added Ashnoor Kaur.

“OTT is an opportunity for many new film makers to come forward. Quality has to be the best  and you have to be different otherwise you will be removed in a minute by remote,” said Sanjay Prasad film maker from Dubai.

 “The size of the industry has grown big with OTT Film makers, technicians, heave more work to look upon. Different exclusive content to suit addition of new audience is now available,” said Mohit Soni Head Media & Entertainment Skills Council.

“It is a time to see new cinema. The concept of watching films has changed. Theatres will change to Home Cinema. From community viewing to family viewing is coming back. Many new genres will emerge now. said James Mimikos film maker from Greece.

 During session a poster of William Shakespeare Society was released by the distinguished guest to mark his contribution to literature and cinema. The event was supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum and presented by International Film And Television Club along with AAFT University and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Cinema has to be  always backed and supported by passion,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and founder of Noida Film City.
Sandeep Marwah, forty years in glamour business, is seven times World Record Holder in Media. He is the  recipient of more than seven hundred awards from all over the World, chairing around hundred film, television, media, social, governmental and private organizations and is the cultural Ambassador of many countries.
“Create your own visual style, let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable to others. Film Making is ultimate team sort. To make a film is easy but to make a good film is a war and to make a very good film is a magic. I always consider film makers as magicians,” said H.E. Muhammed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India at the first ICMEI International Awards for Excellence in Cinema inviting film personalities to Bosnia for film shooting. H.E. Muhammed Cengic is also patron to Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum.
“Films are the best representative of culture of any country. Films are the best way to express yourself. The pain is temporary but once films are made then  the history is created. Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum has grown with time,” said Carlo Polo Ambassador of Peru to India also spoke about the film Industry at Peru and the films which have done extremely well. H.E. is also the Patron to Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum.

Noida: “Every film maker has to keep in mind that Cinema is the powerful way to promote tourism. Wherever you are going to shoot film, it will automatically become the tourist destination for time to come. We have executed our bit of responsibility when we gave a new word of “Film Tourism” to English dictionary thirty years back, people were not aware of this term, now every country is talking about film tourism. Marwah Studios and its filmi activities at Noida film city have attracted more than two million people to this destination and thereby adding enough tourism to Noida,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios addressing film community at 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020.

“India and Slovenia are sharing a beautiful friendship and together the business and trade have gone much more in last few years. Slovenia invites you all and offer some of the finest places on earth. It’s a beautiful nation with extra ordinary natural and picturesque locations. The government is taking special care of film units and large subsidies are also provided to film makers,” said H.E. Dr. Marjen Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India giving many examples of film shootings in Slovenia.

“Indian film industry has grown big and needs different locations for shooting not only films, but also tele serials, music videos etc. and all that brings India and rest of the world close to each other. Films have power to attract tourists even from remote areas,” said Rajan Sehgal Chairman of TAAI Skill & Education.

 “Cinema should be the priority sector while designing policy of tourism. New ways to attract people to new destinations must be popularize,” said Raju Pareskar renowned film director who also mentioned many figures which have changed in particular cities after film shootings at those places.

“Indian cinema has done a commendable job of introducing India to Indians. Cinema is more powerful than government or other private efforts to make destinations more popular. It starts with Mumbai and hundreds of gorgeous and amazing Indian places you can see in films. It has taken India to abroad,” said Kamlesh Pandey renowned screen play writer.

“East or west, home is the best. All film locations have to be provided with best of the facilities to attract tourism. Only list of shooting locations may not attract many people,” said Farhad Frountanion renowned screen writer & film maker from Holland making everyone cautious about the concept.

 Anoop Bose Lawyer Supreme Court and film maker, Sanchi Rai actor, Nilesh Malhotra actor & film producer also spoke on the occasion. A poster representing Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum was also released during the seminar.

Seminar on Potential And Challenges In Cinema Industry During 13th GFFN

Noida: “Cinema has itself faced many challenges like popularity of television programs, discovery of new formats from video to DVDs, Piracy of films, closure of theatres, strikes and difference of opinions, Internet and easy availability of foreign films but still it has emerged out of all hinderances and blocks and even today is the most popular and reasonable source of entertainment for the masses. Pandemic has almost broken the leg, it is the passion of film makers which has served enough blood to the industry to survive in every odd condition,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 initiating in the seminar -Potential and Challenges of Cinema industry.

“Nobody should enter in the industry without the proper education and training of cinema. The aspirant will be wasting his as well the precious time of production organizations. Even a small course can take you to better position,” said Faraz Akhtar AAFT Alumnus and film director known for his films War Chhord Na Zaar, Ticket to Bollywood, Nannu Ki Janu and now Mere Desh Ki Dharti.

AAFT Alumnus Satyen Bhruth film director from Mauritius emphasized more on the Small budget films and independent producer’s finance problems. “we have subjects but making cinema is now beyond control. We need some agencies where we can ask for finance,” he said.

“Ample films have been produced here but I think the biggest challenge is the marketing and sale of cinema. India is only 4 percent of World cinema market. 96 percent is not yet utilized. You have to tap now international market for the sale and exhibition of your films. The potential is unbelievable right now,” said Ramesh Meer Chief Creative Director & CEO of The FX Factory.

ICMEI Excellence Awards Constituted During 13th Global Film Festival


Noida: “Media and Entertainment Industry has touched around Rs 2,35000 crore turnover last year. This year the industry has been badly hit by Corona Virus, but the best part is that people associated with this industry have neither lost the enthusiasm nor the excitement of being part of this beautiful and glamorous industry. The event organizers and social workers have put in their best to keep the audience busy and diverted them from this heinous Covid 19,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 as a keynote speaker.

“The expected turnover in 2023 should be 3,00,000 crores, it is important to keep the morals of the event organizers, managers and social workers high. ICMEI has decided to constitute a new award for these social organizations who have done well even during Pandemic. An international award under the name and banner of ICMEI EXCELLENCE AWARD for the contribution to Media And Entertainment Industry was presented during 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 to some of the proactive organizations.

13th Global Film Festival Will Emphasise Short Films Online


13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 on 26th to 28th Nov

Noida: 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 is preparing its screening online and this time the management is emphasising on short films because of the closure of large screens for viewing during pandemic.

A segment of short films from Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies, AAFT University of Media And Arts, a division of Films on Disability, Children’s Film and films for competition will be shown and broadcast on MSTV of Marwah Studios. The three days of festival i.e. 26th to 28th November are dedicated to screening of these films received from all of India and abroad.

Every participant shall be provided with Participation Certificate and best films will be rewarded with honors. A special segment has also been created for Mobile Films.

“We are excited with this change of bringing films on television. We are sure that large number of people will be able to watch these films on television. We have intimated around two million people round the globe about this festival. More than 400 news offices have joined hands with us. We have already received the participation of 60 countries of the World. We need your blessings to do something different even during Pandemic,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Global Film Festival.

The team of International Film And Television Club with members all over the World, is working hard to create something new and extraordinary to entertain the people in Covid 19 effected days.

Noida: 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 presented by IFTC- International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios on 26th to 28th November is going to be with different concepts this time.

“The festival is going to be online and major emphasis will be on seminars and discussions. There are three major award functions consisting of 4th edition of Hindi Cinema Samman, the first edition of Marwah Studios International Awards for Excellence in Cinema for foreign film makers and  for all those who have been involved  with foreign Cinema, and third one is specially planned for the event management organizations and partners in progress,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and GFFN.

Seminars shall be covering subjects like Cinema and tourism, cinema and women, cinema and journalism, cinema and peace and unity. Large number of speakers, film makers, production houses from all over the World are joining the show.

20 events, 60 countries, 200 participants, 100 National and 400 International Press and 2 Million people have been informed about the event. Expected audience for the shows might cross three hundred thousand this time said Marwah in a press conference.
