Noida: The prestigious 8th Hindi Cinema Samman Awards were held as part of the 17th Global Film Festival 2024 at Marwah Film City, Noida. The ceremony celebrated and honored individuals who have made outstanding contributions toward promoting Hindi language and Hindi Cinema. Among the notable awardees was H.E. Ali Achoui, Ambassador of Algeria to India, recognized for his exceptional efforts in promoting Hindi and Hindi Cinema globally.

The event was organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo-Algeria Film and Cultural Forum. Since its inception in 2017, the Hindi Cinema Samman Awards have grown to become one of the most prestigious recognitions in Indian cinema, uniting artists, cultural ambassadors, and key figures from the Hindi film industry to celebrate artistic brilliance and cultural impact.

During the ceremony, Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed his pride in honoring international luminaries like H.E. Ali Achoui, highlighting the global influence of Hindi Cinema in fostering cross-cultural understanding. He stated:

“Hindi Cinema has the power to transcend boundaries, uniting audiences across the world with stories that speak to the human experience. Honoring individuals like Ambassador Achoui underlines the importance of collaborative cultural efforts.”

The Hindi Cinema Samman Awards, organized in association with AAFT University, marked a grand celebration of creativity, talent, and the enduring legacy of Hindi Cinema. With its continued success, the awards reaffirm their commitment to supporting artists, visionaries, and cultural ambassadors who have made significant contributions to the film industry.

The 8th edition also emphasized the growing cultural ties between India and Algeria, further strengthening the efforts of the Indo-Algeria Film and Cultural Forum in fostering bilateral relations through the power of cinema.

6th Hindi Cinema Samman 2022 at 15th Global Film Festival Noida

New Delhi: One of the most prestigious Cinema Awards of the country under the name and banner of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh took place during the 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 under the Chairmanship of renowned international film, television, and media personality of the Republic of India Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios & Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts.

Twenty seven important awards were presented during global Film Festival including Hindi Cinema Gaurav Awards, Hindi Cinema Bhushan Award, Hindi Cinema Ratan Award, and  Hindi Cinema Samarthak Award to the deserving film and other personalities from Art & Culture.

Vivek Agnihotri awarded with Sarvashresth Nirdeshak for Kashmir Files.  Dr. Anmol Kolhe was honoured with Hindi Cinema Gaurav Award. Other recipients of Hindi Cinema Gaurav Award were  Mukesh Tyagi, Shubh Malhotra, Jaswinder Gardner, Kangna Sharma, Sayali Bhagat, Rajesh Tailang, Sahil Anand, Girish Thapar, Garima Jain, Digangana Suryavanshi, Liza Malik, Suparna Moitra, Rahul Agarwal,  Brijendra Kala, and Saharsh Kumar Shukla was also presented with Hindi Cinema Gaurav Award.

Suchitra Krishnamoorti received Hindi Cinema Bhushan Award, T P Agarwal was honoured Hindi Cinema Ratan Award, Arjun Firoz Khan honoured with Hindi Cinema Bhushan Award, Himani Shivpuri also presented with Hindi Cinema Bhushan Award which are the most powerful awards of Hindi Cinema.

HE Nurlan Zhalgasbayev Ambassador of Kazakhstan received Hindi Cinema Samarthak, HE Hayet Talbi Ambassador of Tunisiaalso honoured with Hindi Cinema Samarthak. Others who were honoured with Hindi Cinema Samarthak included Thabang Linus Kholumo Charge d’ Affairs High Commission of Lesotho, Emile Mwepesi Charge d’ Affairs High Commission of Rawanda, Amizal Fazli Razali Charge d’ Affairs High Commission of Malaysia, and Yiannakis Makrides  Deputy Head of Mission Republic of Cyprus who was also decorated with Hindi Cinema Samarthak  during the three days of 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022.

“Only in six years  Hindi Cinema Samman has turned out to be one of the most important film awards of the country. This is the only Indian Award which is also presented to the representatives of  foreigner Governments for the promotion of Hindi Cinema,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah National Chairman Media and Entertainment Committee BIS. This prestigious event of the Hindi Film Industry takes place annually at Vigyan Bhavan to honour the Hindi Film Industry for popularising the National language Hindi and for uniting and integrating the Nation by evolving a common National culture through the medium of Cinema.

The highest honour of HINDI CINEMA MAHANAYAK was instituted  in the 4th edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh by bestowing the title of HINDI CINEMA MAHANAYAK upon the one and only Respected Shri Dilip Kumar Sahab on the final and third day of 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020.

HINDI CINEMA SEVI Samman was accorded to Shri Supran Sen, Shri Ashok Sarogi, Shri Anil Nagrath, Shrimati Meena K Iyer, Shri Anup Dev, Shri Ajay Brahmatmaj, Shri Manoj Srivastava, Shri Vishal Saroye, Shri Subhash Sahu, yu Shri Rajendra Singh, Shri KS Sanjay, Shrimati Bharti Dubey and Shri Ashok Pandit.

CHHICHHORE was declared the Best film of the Year and as per the tradition of HINDI CINEMA SAMMAN SAMAROH the producer, the director and all the actors and technicians of the film shall individually receive the award for collectively making CHHICHHORE the best film of the Year. Sushant Singh Rajput being the leading man CHHICHHORE was declared the Best Leading Man of the Year. HINDI CINEMA SAMMAN SAMITI will deliver the Samman to Sushant Singh Rajput’s father in Patna.

4th Edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Announced for 28th November

Mumbai: HINDI CINEMA SAMMAN SAMAROH was initiated under the Chairmanship of Shri Shatrughan Sinha on 12th November 2017 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi to accord national recognition to Hindi Cinema aka Bollywood for uniting and integrating the nation by popularising Hindi as the link language of India and by evolving a pan-Indian culture by combining the best elements from all the regional cultures of India and for flying the flag of Indian culture and civilisation high all over the world by the undisputed global popularity of Bollywood Cinema.


HINDI CINEMA SAMMAN SAMAROH was held successfully in 2017 with Hon’ble Shri Vijay Kumar Goel, Union Minister as chief guest; in 2018 with Hon’ble Shri Vijay Sampla and Hon’ble Shri Satya Pal Singh, Union Ministers as chief guests and in 2019 with Hon’ble Shri Arif Mohammad Khan, Governor Kerala as Chief Guest informed Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Due to Covid 19 pandemic HINDI CINEMA SAMMAN SAMAROH 2020 will be held on virtual platform. The jury for the Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh awards has been set up. It comprises of Former Union Minister and veteran Actor  Shatrughan Sinha (jury chairman), IMPPA- Indian Motion Picture Producers Association president T.P. Aggarwal, former chairman of the National Awards jury and senior Director Rahul Rawail, film financer & Producer Shyam Shroff, veteran journalist & editor Film Information Komal Nahta, FWICE- Federation of Western India Cine Employees president B.N. Tiwari, and  ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry president Sandeep Marwah. The jury is currently finalising the awardees for the virtual awards function which will be held on 28th November.

4th Edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh fixed for 28th November

Mumbai: The biggest and the most prestigious award for the Hindi Cinema was constituted four years back when the management of Global Film Festival Noida decided to create an award to appreciate artists and technicians from Hindi Cinema popularly known as Bollywood all over the World at Vigyan Bhawan.

“The 4th edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh to present Hindi Cinema Samman has been fixed for 28th November this year. Owning to the pandemic the event has been transferred from Vigyan Bhawan to online presentation,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.

“We have been inviting and recognizing the efforts of artists and technicians from Hindi Film Industry who all have sincerely contributed to the Hindi Cinema. The award is also meant for foreign governments of different countries who all have supported and promoted Hindi Cinema in their own countries,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chairing the Award committee.

Large preparations are on for three days 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios, to be organised by International Film And Television Club. The event is supported by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and AAFT University of Media And Arts.

3rd Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at 12th Global Film Festival





Noida: A powerful and the first ever designed National Award for Hindi Cinema saw its third edition at Noida Film City organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University.

Never seen such a terrific energy in the auditorium with over charged with audience, when not even single chair was empty rather the audience was sitting on the carpet to watch this star studded show at Noida Film City under the president ship of Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and Marwah Studios.


The Governor of Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan was the chief guest who presented prestigious   National awards to the people who all have contributed immense to the Hindi Cinema. The program started with National Anthem followed by release of Biography of Sandeep Marwah by all the distinguished guests. To start with Chief Scout For India Sandeep Marwah presented Hindi Cinema Samarthak Samman to Arif Mohammad Khan.

Sandeep Marwah narrated the journey of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios and AAFT in short and invited guests to receive their National awards.

The first and the highest award of Hindi Cinema Ratna went to Priyadarshan renowned Director from South and his all super hits are in Hindi. The Hindi Cinema Bhushan Award was handed over to renowned film director, costume designer & writer Muzaffar Ali. Hindi Cinema Sangrakshak Award to director Rahul Rawail, IMPPA President T.P. Agarwal , Director General ICCR Akhilesh Mishra IFS and to President FWICE B.N.Tewari. 


All time hit and renowned actor Prem Chopra, film financier Shyam Shroff, popular actor Vikram Ghokhale and actor and dancer Nilima Azim were presented with Hindi Cinema Bhushan Samman.


 Hindi Cinema Gaurav Samman was presented to actor and presenter Manish Paul, film producer and administrator Sushma Srimoni, actor Virendra Saksena, Rajendra Gupta, Deepak Kejriwal actor & singer Arun Bakshi, Raja Bundela, Deepak Balraj and Amita Nangia, Cinematographer Nadeem Khan, Singer Parvati Khan, Best Writer for Feature Film Section 375went to Manish Gupta,. Award for contribution to Children’s film to Pankaj Parashar, Screen Play Writer Usha Deshpandey, Best Actress Meera Chopra for feature film Section 375 and Best Actor for feature film Section 375 to Rahul Bhatt were handed over by    the Governor.

The Hindi cinema has been there for more than 100 years and people of India and abroad has learned Hindi by watching these films. Appreciating artists means a lot. Not only it motivates but also brings new blood to the main stream. I congratulate each and every awardee and wish the Indian Film Industry, as a whole, a very wide progress and Hindi Film Industry to keep on winning the hearts of people of the whole World,” said Arif Mohammed Khan Governor of Kerala.

New Delhi: The most prestigious and historical hall of Vigyan Bhawan saw the 2nd Edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh where the big wigs of Hindi Film Industry were honored for their untiring contribution to Hindi Cinema.

Almost 110 years of Hindi Cinema we somehow forgot to honor and highlight the contribution of   this most popular cinema of the World at the cental level with National awards exclusively. We at ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry could feel the pain of this need last year,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Marwah Studios at the second edition of Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan.

This year an award committee was constituted at ICMEI in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television and announced National Awards in the first go for Film producers Boney Kapoor, Mehul Kumar, Actor- Director Nandita Das, Actor Sanjay Kapoor and Zareen Khan and Film Educator Deepak Marwah who were sharing the prestigious dais of Vigyan Bhawan with Ministers of Government of India.


Hon. Satya Pal Singh Union Minister of State, Ministry of Human Resource Development responsible for Higher Education and Minister of State in the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Government of India and Vijay Sampla Union Minister of State Ministry of Social Justice And Empowerment, Government of India, presented the awards. The Ministers were also felicitated for their contribution to Hindi Cinema.

H E Dr. Ashraf Shikhaliyev, Ambassador of Azerbaijan was awarded the Hindi Cinema Samarthak Award.

“Hindi Films have contributed to Hindi learning not only in India but all over the World. Not only entertainment, Hindi films are the best ambassador of our culture too. People all over the World like and love hindi cinema. I congratulate each and every awardee and especially Sandeep Marwah for taking initiative to start an award like this,” said Satya Pal Singh Union Minister, Government of India.

“Hindi Cinema is the biggest in the country number wise, quality wise and popularity wise. It needs to be honored and highlighted. I am lucky to be associated with now the most prestigious National Award for Hindi Cinema. My best wishes to each and every one present here and to the whole Hindi film industry for marvelous contribution towards entertainment,” added Vijay Sampla Union Minister, Government of India.

It is the best way to learn Hindi, know the World through pictures and has enhanced tourism to a great extent,” added Marwah the promoter of awards. The award function was the third day event of 11th Global Film Festival Noida 2018.

New Delhi: the 11th Global Film Festival Noida 2018 is going to have 2nd Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan on the third day of the festival on 18th November 2018.

“We are very excited that the property we created last year is going to celebrate its second edition on 18th of November, 2018. What we have learned and earned in last ten years from Global Film Festival, has resulted into Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.

“This is the first National Award which was constituted last year to highlight the contribution of the artists in Hindi Cinema and contribution of Hindi Cinema in popularizing Hindi as language,” added Marwah.

The Government of India  has supported the concept of honoring artists from the biggest cinema of the nation which is in real the brand ambassador of Indian culture abroad.
