Noida, India: The rich and exotic flavors of the Republic of the Union of the Comoros were proudly presented at the International Food Festival held during the 18th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) 2025 at the iconic Marwah Film City, Noida. The Comoros-themed culinary presentation was specially designed and curated by the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, adding a delicious dimension to the festival’s celebration of global culture.

The Comoros cuisine pavilion was formally inaugurated by Mr. K. L. Ganju, Honorary Consul General of the Republic of the Union of the Comoros, in the distinguished presence of filmmakers, diplomats, students, and international guests attending the festival.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, President of GFFN, and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, emphasized that food is an integral part of cultural identity. He stated that the International Food Festival is designed to promote global harmony by introducing the tastes, traditions, and culinary heritage of different nations to thousands of visitors from India and abroad. The culinary presentations were inaugurated by H.E. Dambajavyn Ganbold, Ambassador of Mongolia to India, and Cdr. K.L. Ganju, Consul General of the Republic of Comoros in India. These shows provided a platform for students to demonstrate their culinary skills and introduce the international audience—including notable figures from the fashion, design, film, and television sectors—to popular dishes from the featured countries.

The event’s success was echoed by the appreciative remarks of the attending diplomats. Cdr. K.L. 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 Sets New Standards in Creative Excellence

Noida, India — The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week, held in Noida, has set unprecedented records, becoming the largest fashion event hosted by an educational institution both in India and internationally. This three-day event dazzled attendees with its innovative displays in fashion and furniture design, under the leadership of Festival President Sandeep Marwah, who is also the president of Marwah Studios.

Organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in collaboration with AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Interior Design, and AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, the festival showcased the depth of global creative talent. An impressive roster of participants from 72 countries contributed to a culturally rich and diverse experience.

The event featured 200 designers who participated in 90 rounds of runway shows, displaying over 550 garments. Additionally, there were four exhibitions including collections of coffee table books, Indian Suits & Sarees, a Photography Exhibition, and 100 creative furniture pieces. The culinary arts were also highlighted with 9 food shows representing the cuisine of 20 countries, all prepared by 700 professionals over nearly three months of planning.

The festival attracted a footfall of 23,000 people, including 250 notable figures from the fashion and design world, as well as 20 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, adding a significant international flavor to the event. A marching band from AAFT added a royal touch to the festivities, which were covered by 500 media houses worldwide.

Each day of the event was documented by the AAFT School of Journalism, with support from 100 volunteers from AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising, 100 digital media representatives from AAFT School of Digital Marketing, and 100 camera persons from AAFT School of Still Photography.

The overwhelming appreciation and congratulations from 72 nations underscored the festival’s success in integrating and showcasing the unique cultural garments of various countries, alongside their national flags, in a spectacular ramp show format.

The opening session of the event was graced by distinguished guests including H.E. Dambajavyn Ganbold, Ambassador of Mongolia, Cdr. K.L. Ganju, Honorary Consul General of Comoros in India, celebrated designer Rina Dhaka, and Ruby Yadav, Cultural Head of the BJP Wing. The session was supported by the World Peace Development and Research Foundation, which endeavors to promote the messages of love, peace, and unity through art and culture as championed by Marwah Studios.

16th Global Film Festival Noida Explores the Harmonious Relationship Between Literature and Cinema

Noida: The third day of the 16th Global Film Festival Noida witnessed an engaging seminar delving into the “Correlation between literature and cinema.” Organized under the guidance of Festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the event celebrated the interwoven narrative between words and images, presenting a symphony of storytelling that resonates across diverse cultures.

During this enlightening session, Festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah, along with esteemed dignitaries, unveiled the book “The Definitive Biography Talat Mehmood” by Sahar Zaman, adding a significant literary touch to the festival.

Marwah expressed admiration for the cultural tapestry woven by literature and cinema, recognizing it as an art form that transcends linguistic and geographic boundaries. Renowned Actor Abhishek Duhan emphasized the profound connection between acting and literature, stating, “Acting is the art of breathing life into words, and literature provides the script for the cinema of our imagination.”

Renowned Composer and Singer Hriju Roy highlighted the role of music as a bridge connecting literature and cinema, transforming words into lyrical notes that dance through cinematic landscapes. Author Prem Singh Dhingra eloquently described the journey from the written page to the cinematic stage as a beautiful correlation between literature and cinema.

Actor and Singer Aroon Bakshi celebrated the relationship between words and visuals through the lens of cinema, creating a timeless composition. He expressed, “Literature is the mother of Cinema.” Renowned Director Pankaj Parashar described directing as a dialogue between literature and cinema, where every scene speaks the language of words written and images envisioned.

Hon. Consul General of Comoros K L Ganju acknowledged film festivals as bridges where the written word meets the visual narrative, fostering a harmonious connection between literature and cinema. Filmmaker from the USA Mike Berry eloquently stated, “Cinema is the canvas where literature paints its stories in vivid motion, transcending pages to captivate hearts.”

The distinguished guests were felicitated with festival mementos by Dr. Sandeep Marwah. Furthermore, Abhishek Duhan and Rajendra Parsekar were honored with the Hindi Cinema Gaurav Samman, adding another layer of recognition to their contributions. The session concluded on an interactive note, with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Festival Director Ashok Tyagi.

Consul General of Comoros Honored at Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh

New Delhi: 4th Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh was most successfully conducted online this year. This prestigious event of the Hindi Film Industry takes place annually at Vigyan Bhavan to honour the Hindi Film Industry and Its associates with National Awards for  promoting & popularising the Hindi Cinema and National language Hindi. It is an award for bringing love, peace and unity through art and culture.

Hindi Cinema Sangrakshak Award was presented to K.L.Ganju Consul General of Comoros in  India by Hindi Cinema Samman Samiti on the third and final day of 13th Global Film Festival Noida 2020. The Hindi Cinema Samman Samiti is initiated and promoted by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry, the only dedicated chamber of media and entertainment industry.

Hindi Cinema Samman Samiti is chaired by veteran actor and former Union Minister of Government of India Shatrughan Sinha and comprising of  T.P. Aggarwal President IMPPA- Indian Motion Picture Producers Association, Rahul Rawail Eminent Director and erstwhile Chairman of the National Awards Jury, Shyam Shroff Eminent Distributor and Exhibitor,  Komal Nahta Eminent Trade Journalist and Telecaster,  B.N.Tiwari President of the apex body of Cine Workers FWICE- Federation of Western India Cine Employees and Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.
