Noida Film City, India: The AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming & Comics) Section of the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and international presence at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

The prestigious segment was formally opened by an eminent panel of distinguished personalities including Vimal Kumar, Veteran Sports Journalist; Amitabh Srivastava, Media Strategic Advisor; Ilie Surulescu from the Embassy of Romania; Ravi Kant Mittal, Editor-in-Chief IBC24 News; K. L. Ganju, Hon. Consul of the Union of Comoros; Sanjeev Paliwal, Senior Journalist from Sahitya Aaj Tak; Ntsukunyane Daniel Tsenoli of the High Commission of Lesotho; and Rabindra Narayan Behera, Member of Parliament.

Addressing the large gathering of media professionals, students, artists, and international delegates, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Festival, emphasized that AVGC has now become a crucial pillar of the Media & Entertainment industry. He highlighted that the Government of India has recently taken strong initiatives to uplift the AVGC sector to a new scale, recognizing its immense contribution to employment generation, digital innovation, and global content creation.

Dr. Marwah proudly stated that the AVGC Department at Marwah Studios has been operational for a long time and continues to nurture young talent in animation, gaming, comics, and visual storytelling. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to strengthening India’s position as a global hub for creative digital industries.

The AVGC Section of the festival features a vibrant and dynamic lineup of activities including: Special Gaming Zone, Animation Film Screenings, Comic and Art Exhibition, Visual Arts Showcase, Display of Animated Products, Cosplay Competition

The inauguration ceremony witnessed overwhelming participation and appreciation from national and international guests, marking another milestone in positioning Noida as a leading destination for creative arts and digital media innovation.

The Lesotho cuisine pavilion was thoughtfully designed and curated by the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, reflecting the country’s rich food traditions and cultural identity.

The pavilion was formally inaugurated by Mr. Metsing Edsel Lemphane, Counsellor, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, who appreciated the initiative for highlighting African culinary heritage on a global platform. Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extended its heartiest congratulations to Her Excellency Lebohang Valentine Mochaba, High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to India, and to the people of Lesotho on the joyous occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on 4th October.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his warm wishes and appreciation for the enduring friendship between India and Lesotho. “India and Lesotho share a strong and growing relationship founded on mutual respect, cooperation, and cultural exchange. Noida, 25th September 2025: The AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, in association with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), brought a powerful cultural experience to the 11th Global Literary Festival Noida 2025 by presenting the authentic cuisines of the Kingdom of Lesotho at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

The event was inaugurated by Ms. Bohloeki Tlhaku Morojele of the High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, who highlighted the deep cultural value of food in connecting communities. “Cuisine is more than nourishment; it is heritage, history, and an invitation to understand our identity. Bringing Lesotho’s food to India is a step toward building bridges of friendship and cooperation between our nations,” she said.

Indo-Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum Adds Cultural Depth to 9th Global Fashion and Design Week

Noida, India – May 31, 2025 – The Indo-Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the High Commission of Lesotho in India, made a significant and culturally rich contribution to the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, held at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. As the world’s largest fashion week hosted by any academic institution, GFDW 2025 has once again raised the bar in global fashion diplomacy and creative exchange.

Organized under the patronage of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, and supported by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, this year’s festival stood as a powerful convergence of creativity, heritage, and innovation. With over 200 acclaimed designers, 550 original designer garments, and 125 interior design pieces, the event showcased an inspiring fusion of global design perspectives.

The week-long celebration featured 90 fashion rounds across 9 meticulously curated shows, 6 exclusive exhibitions, and 9 international culinary experiences, transforming Marwah Studios into a global hub of art, design, and cultural exchange. Attendees also experienced fashion films, live telecasts on MSTV and Radio Noida, and coverage by more than 600 international media outlets, underlining the growing international stature of the event.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo-Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his ambition to position GFDW as one of the most exclusive and globally celebrated fashion weeks. “Fashion is not just about aesthetics; it is a voice of cultural heritage, innovation, and unity. Our aim is to showcase the depth of global traditions through the lens of modern creativity,” he stated.

The Indo-Lesotho Forum played a pivotal role in reinforcing this vision. Garments showcased during the event were deeply inspired by the art, life, and cultural soul of Lesotho. Drawing from the vibrant murals of Lesotho’s villages, the featured fashion line celebrated color, tradition, and community. Flowing silhouettes, multicolored patterns, and fine hand embroidery brought to life the spirit of Basotho culture. Created using natural fabrics, the collection offered a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary design, suitable for festive occasions and elegant wear alike.

In addition to fashion, the forum also contributed furniture pieces inspired by Lesotho’s rich artistic traditions, which were prominently displayed at the interior design exhibition. These pieces reflected the aesthetic strength of Lesotho’s native materials, motifs, and craftsmanship, adding a deeper layer of cultural expression to the overall showcase.

Noida, India – May 2025: The 9th edition of Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2025, organized by AAFT School of Fashion & Design at Marwah Studios, proved to be a breathtaking celebration of creativity, culture, and couture. The event stood tall among global fashion weeks, surprising everyone with its powerful, international showcase and diverse thematic presentations.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and President of the Festival, opened the event by emphasizing, “Fashion is a powerful language that transcends borders. Through design, we communicate heritage, innovation, and aspiration.” His words set the tone for what would become one of the most vibrant editions of the festival to date.

The festival saw the graceful presence of several eminent personalities and industry experts, including: Padma Shri Sunita Kohli, internationally acclaimed interior designer, who reflected on the timeless synergy between fashion and space design., Thabang Linus Kholumo, Counsellor from the Kingdom of Lesotho, who lauded the cultural exchange platform provided by the forum. Deepinder Singh, renowned fashion designer, Roohi Baweja, fashion content creator and digital influencer, Divya Behl, celebrity makeup artist, and Preeti Ghai, one of India’s leading fashion designers.

Adding culinary flair to the forum were master chefs: Chef Dr. Manjit Gill, legendary figure in Indian cuisine, Chef Vaibhav Soni, Chef Akhilesh Kumar, and Chef Bhanu Thakur, all of whom contributed to the gastronomic showcase highlighting global flavors. International cultural fashion inspirations formed the highlight of the week: Trisha showcased garments inspired by Peru, Manish Singh, Sana, and Snenha from Israel brought forward an eclectic collection reflecting modern Israeli trends, Shiny focused on the aesthetic of Azerbaijan, Priyanka impressed with a collection influenced by Russian couture, Arooba and Hira stunned the audience with garments themed around Paraguay, Divyansh, Aditya, Anshika, and Kamini represented the vibrant culture of Nepal, Monali and Bhawna showcased designs inspired by the heritage of Egypt, Dolly Chauhan elegantly presented designs reflecting the traditions of Lesotho

Special international guest Ambassador Sandeep from Dubai, UAE, extended his support and appreciation for the platform’s efforts in bridging global cultures through fashion., Release of News Bulletin-Fashion Fiesta and Coffee Table book- Strut & Street by Money Gehlot were other attractions.

“This collaboration has provided an opportunity for people from both nations to experience different art forms, understand each other’s values, and develop a deeper appreciation for their cultural heritage. The Indo-Lesotho cultural relationship has further enhanced mutual respect, understanding, and a shared vision for a better future. This documentary is about Basotho , their culture and meaning behind their cultural activities. The film is from Moshoeshoe, the founder of Basotho Nation. It is directed by Lehlohonolo Mayeza.

Present on the occasion AAFT alumna and Miss Deaf Universe Vidisha Baliyan thanked AAFT for providing so much of facilities to students including giant festivals like Global Festival of Journalism. “I have learned from these kind of events, I owe my success to AAFT,” said Vidisha humbly.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah announced an Award of Distinction to Documentary from Lesotho-“Basotho Culture” and presented the award to Thabang Linus Kholumo along with festival memento.

The program was conducted by Mehak Zaidi, Asst. Prof., AAFT School of Mass Communication & Journalism. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Ajay Kumar, Festival Director. The event was supported by Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Development and Research Foundation,  AAFT University, and Indo Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum.

Indo Lesotho was launched way back in 2012 when Mataeli Makhele Principal Secretary Office of the Prime Minister of Lesotho, Government of Lesotho visited Marwah Studios during her visit to Noida Film City in India along with the delegation from Lesotho and Makhatwe E. Mankimane First Secretary High Commission of Lesotho.

Later H.E. Mrs Lineo Irene Mabusuela High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho  handed over the appreciation certificate to Sandeep Marwah where Mophethe Sekamane Counsellor at High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho was also present. It is now five years  the forum is working towards development and promotion of relation between two countries.

It is quite satisfactory with the progress we are making in the promotion and development of Indo Lesotho relations,” expressed H.E. “It is a pleasure to work for the kingdom of Lesotho. The beautiful country has a lot to offer to cinema and culture. We have been earlier appreciated by the office of Prime Minister of Lesotho. Mrs Lineo Irene Mabusuela High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho to India.

Mrs Lineo obtained M.A. on Governance & Political Transformation in the University of the Free State (Republic of South Africa), Bachelor of Arts of Laws in University of Roma, Lesotho and the Certificate in Public International Law in Den Haag Netherlands. 

Earlier She has been the Member of Parliament in National Assembly of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Deputy Minister in Ministry of Home Affairs, Public Safety & Parliamentary Affairs of the Kingdom of Lesotho, She was also Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Law and Public Safety at National Assembly Parliament of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Member of the Portfolio Committee on the Prime Minister’s Ministries and Departments Maseru of the Kingdom of Lesotho.

ICMEI Celebrated National Day of Lesotho




New Delhi:” I on behalf of media And entertainment Industry & Art and Cultural Fraternity of India extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Lineo Molise Mabusela High Commissioner of Lesotho to India and the people of Kingdom of Lesotho on the auspicious occasion of National Day of Lesotho,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

A serious meeting started when A delegation of 14 senior officers of Government of Lesotho under the leadership of the Principal Secretary Office of the Prime Minister of Lesotho Ms Mataeli Makhele visited Marwah Studios and proposal of creating Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Form was thrown on the table in December 2017.

It was followed by signing of MOU between International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and High Commission of Lesotho in India through H.E. Bothat Tsikoane then the High Commissioner and Sandeep Marwah  President ICMEI to promote the activities between the two countries through art and culture. Dr. Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair for Indo Lesorho Film and Cultural Forum.

Indo Lesotho Cultural Forum Presented Scholarship

Noida: “We are more than happy to hand over the scholarship of AAFT Short Term Course to   the student from Kingdom of Lesotho as the gesture of goodwill and to promote relation between two countries under Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chairman of ILFCF.

“After signing MoU between the Embassy of Kingdom of Lesotho and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry we inaugurated Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum. Handing over the scholarship is the next in the list ,” said Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI.

“It is rare when you are given three benefits at the same time. One that I have collected the scholarship for the deserving student from Kingdom of Lesotho, second I have received the collection of Press coverage of our activities and third I am carrying the research work conducted by AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism on Lesotho. I pray for very strong relations between ICMEI and Embassy of Lesotho,” expressed H.E. Bothat Tsikoane High Commissioner of Kingdom of Lesotho to India while addressing the media persons at Marwah Studios.                        

Makhatwe E. Mankimane First Secretary High Commission of Lesotho, Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI and many other dignities were also present there. High Commissioner also celebrated the registration of fifth World Record of Sandeep Marwah.

ICMEI Signed MOU With Kingdom of Lesotho


India And Lesotho Will Work Together For Art Promotion


New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between India and Lesotho through International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry India and Embassy of Kingdom for Government of Kingdom of Lesotho to develop and promote relation between two countries through art and culture.

“We are new in India and this is our first memorandum. We hope that we will be able to create an important place in the hearts of Indians,” said H.E. Bothata Tsikoane High Commissioner of Kingdom of Lesotho.

“We will not leave any stone unturned to bring two countries together through art and culture. Few very important points have been discussed and now are part of the memorandum. It will start with formation of Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum and rest of the things follows,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

Promotion of films, television, media, environment, education, tourism, skill development through workshops, seminars, symposiums, film festivals, interactions, talks, visits will be the agenda of the chamber.

Bothata Tsikoane Patron to Indo Lesotho Cultural Association



New Delhi: The High Commissioner of Kingdom of Lesotho H.E. Bothata Tsikoane has been presented with the Patron ship of Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum on his visit to the International Head Quarters of ICMEI at Noida Film City.

The Indio Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum was created last year on the arrival of high-powered delegation from Kingdom of Lesotho at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry at Noida Film City.

The delegation was comprising of 14 senior members of Government of Lesotho under the leadership of the Principal Secretary Office of the Prime Minister of Lesotho Ms Mataeli Makhele who all visited Marwah Studios to understand the media and entertainment industry of India on the recommendation of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

“I am touched by the gesture of Sandeep Marwah, it was a pleasant surprise. We all together will make better relation between two countries,” said H.E. Bothat Tsikoane High Commissioner.

“We will be guided by the High Commissioner as how we have to proceed further in our action,” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. Earlier High Commissioner released the poster of ILFCF as a gesture of goodwill. He was accompanied with Makhatwe E. Mankimane First Secretary High Commission of Lesotho.
