Lesotho Cuisine Adds African Flavour to International Food Festival at 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025
Noida, India: The distinctive and wholesome flavours of the Kingdom of Lesotho were elegantly presented at the International Food Festival organised during the 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025, creating a memorable cultural experience for national and international guests. The Lesotho cuisine pavilion was thoughtfully designed and curated by the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, reflecting the country’s rich food traditions and cultural identity.
The pavilion was formally inaugurated by Mr. Metsing Edsel Lemphane, Counsellor, High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho, who appreciated the initiative for highlighting African culinary heritage on a global platform. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President, Marwah Studios, stated that food festivals play a powerful role in cultural diplomacy, bringing nations closer by celebrating their traditions, stories, and values through taste and presentation.

Indo-Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum Adds Cultural Depth to 9th Global Fashion and Design Week
Noida, India – May 31, 2025 – The Indo-Lesotho Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the High Commission of Lesotho in India, made a significant and culturally rich contribution to the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, held at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. As the world’s largest fashion week hosted by any academic institution, GFDW 2025 has once again raised the bar in global fashion diplomacy and creative exchange.
Organized under the patronage of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, and supported by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, this year’s festival stood as a powerful convergence of creativity, heritage, and innovation. With over 200 acclaimed designers, 550 original designer garments, and 125 interior design pieces, the event showcased an inspiring fusion of global design perspectives.
The week-long celebration featured 90 fashion rounds across 9 meticulously curated shows, 6 exclusive exhibitions, and 9 international culinary experiences, transforming Marwah Studios into a global hub of art, design, and cultural exchange. Attendees also experienced fashion films, live telecasts on MSTV and Radio Noida, and coverage by more than 600 international media outlets, underlining the growing international stature of the event.

Created using natural fabrics, the collection offered a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary design, suitable for festive occasions and elegant wear alike.
In addition to fashion, the forum also contributed furniture pieces inspired by Lesotho’s rich artistic traditions, which were prominently displayed at the interior design exhibition. These pieces reflected the aesthetic strength of Lesotho’s native materials, motifs, and craftsmanship, adding a deeper layer of cultural expression to the overall showcase.

This documentary is about Basotho , their culture and meaning behind their cultural activities. The film is from Moshoeshoe, the founder of Basotho Nation. It is directed by Lehlohonolo Mayeza.
Present on the occasion AAFT alumna and Miss Deaf Universe Vidisha Baliyan thanked AAFT for providing so much of facilities to students including giant festivals like Global Festival of Journalism. “I have learned from these kind of events, I owe my success to AAFT,” said Vidisha humbly.

Indo Lesotho was launched way back in 2012 when Mataeli Makhele Principal Secretary Office of the Prime Minister of Lesotho, Government of Lesotho visited Marwah Studios during her visit to Noida Film City in India along with the delegation from Lesotho and Makhatwe E. Mankimane First Secretary High Commission of Lesotho.
Later H.E. Mrs Lineo Irene Mabusuela High Commissioner of the Kingdom of Lesotho handed over the appreciation certificate to Sandeep Marwah where Mophethe Sekamane Counsellor at High Commission of the Kingdom of Lesotho was also present. It is now five years the forum is working towards development and promotion of relation between two countries.

Earlier She has been the Member of Parliament in National Assembly of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Deputy Minister in Ministry of Home Affairs, Public Safety & Parliamentary Affairs of the Kingdom of Lesotho, She was also Chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Law and Public Safety at National Assembly Parliament of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Member of the Portfolio Committee on the Prime Minister’s Ministries and Departments Maseru of the Kingdom of Lesotho.
