Africa World Heritage Day Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: Since the proclamation of African World Heritage Day in 2015 by the 38th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, every 5 May, African cultural and natural, tangible and intangible heritage is celebrated across the globe, raising awareness of the benefits of its promotion and preservation, as well as the related challenges the continent faces,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Patron to many African Organizations.

UNESCO is committed to spearhead international efforts to draw on the vast potential of Africa’s cultural and natural heritage as a force for poverty reduction and social cohesion as well as a driver of sustainable development and innovation.

“As the world enters a second year of this devastating pandemic, engaging with our cultural and natural heritage remains crucial for humanity. This engagement helps us to be more connected, more resilient, more able to protect the legacy of the past and hand it down to future generations. African World Heritage, which we celebrate every year on this day, is essential in this respect – not only for the people of Africa, but for all of humankind. ” Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry read the message of Audrey Azoulay, Director-General, on the occasion of African World Heritage Day during the event designed at Noida Film City.

The event was supported by Indo Nigerian Film And Cultural Forum, Indo South Africa, Indo Lesotho, Indo Gambia, Indo Gabon, Indo Ghana, Indo Sudan, Indo Egypt, Indo Tunisia, Indo Rwanda, Indo Senegal, Indo Malawi, Indo Ethiopia, Indo Zimbabwe, Indo Botswana, Indo Comoros and Indo Mauritius Film and Cultural Forum.

Bothata Tsikoane Patron to Indo Lesotho Cultural Association



New Delhi: The High Commissioner of Kingdom of Lesotho H.E. Bothata Tsikoane has been presented with the Patron ship of Indo Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum on his visit to the International Head Quarters of ICMEI at Noida Film City.

The Indio Lesotho Film And Cultural Forum was created last year on the arrival of high-powered delegation from Kingdom of Lesotho at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry at Noida Film City.

The delegation was comprising of 14 senior members of Government of Lesotho under the leadership of the Principal Secretary Office of the Prime Minister of Lesotho Ms Mataeli Makhele who all visited Marwah Studios to understand the media and entertainment industry of India on the recommendation of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

“I am touched by the gesture of Sandeep Marwah, it was a pleasant surprise. We all together will make better relation between two countries,” said H.E. Bothat Tsikoane High Commissioner.

“We will be guided by the High Commissioner as how we have to proceed further in our action,” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. Earlier High Commissioner released the poster of ILFCF as a gesture of goodwill. He was accompanied with Makhatwe E. Mankimane First Secretary High Commission of Lesotho.

ICMEI Honored Diplomats For Promotion of Tourism


Diplomats Honored by ICMEI


New Delhi: A grand event was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to present awards to the diplomats and Embassies who all have gone out of way to promote Hospitality and Tourism business in India.

International seminar and talks on the promotion of tourism were the agenda of the program followed by food tasting with number of food stalls from different parts of the country established there for a day.

The international awards were presented to H.E H.E. Jorge Juan Castañeda Mendez. Ambassador of Republic Peru to India, H.E. Radhu Dobre Ambassador of Romania to India, H.E. Dr. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India, H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d’ Affaires of Fiji in India, H.E. Jozef Drofenic Ambassador of Republic of Slovenia to India and Makhatwe E. Mankimane  First Secretary of Embassy of Lesotho in New Delhi..

Every one spike about their country and expressed through their short films on tourism. People attended the event from hospitality and tourism industry.

We are proud of our relationship with countries like Peru, Romania, Slovenia, Fiji, Lesotho and Romania. Earlier were promoting each other culture through cinema now we are promoting tourism,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

ICMEI Will Create A Separate African Cultural Union


African Union to Be Launched at ICMEI


Noida: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Marwah Studios in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television has already created numerous forums in relation to African Countries.

“ Time has come when we should have a an African Union as a part of ICMEI so that more regularly we can work with Africa as a continent. Very soon we will be launching ‘An African Union’,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios addressing the nationals of different countries from Africa.

ICMEI is already dealing with Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Niger, Ethiopia, South Africa, Gabon, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Malawi, Kenya,  Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Senegal, Guiana, Ghana, Congo, Cameron, Djibouti, Somalia, Tanzania, Burkina Faso and others.

“It was a great pleasure to receive the delegates from different countries of Africa in different Global Festivals and Summits organized by Marwah Studios and AAFT in partnership with ICMEI in the recent past,” added Sandeep Marwah chairing numerous international cultural forums.
