Africa World Heritage Day Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: Since the proclamation of African World Heritage Day in 2015 by the 38th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, every 5 May, African cultural and natural, tangible and intangible heritage is celebrated across the globe, raising awareness of the benefits of its promotion and preservation, as well as the related challenges the continent faces,” informed Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Patron to many African Organizations.

UNESCO is committed to spearhead international efforts to draw on the vast potential of Africa’s cultural and natural heritage as a force for poverty reduction and social cohesion as well as a driver of sustainable development and innovation.

“As the world enters a second year of this devastating pandemic, engaging with our cultural and natural heritage remains crucial for humanity. This engagement helps us to be more connected, more resilient, more able to protect the legacy of the past and hand it down to future generations. African World Heritage, which we celebrate every year on this day, is essential in this respect – not only for the people of Africa, but for all of humankind. ” Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry read the message of Audrey Azoulay, Director-General, on the occasion of African World Heritage Day during the event designed at Noida Film City.

The event was supported by Indo Nigerian Film And Cultural Forum, Indo South Africa, Indo Lesotho, Indo Gambia, Indo Gabon, Indo Ghana, Indo Sudan, Indo Egypt, Indo Tunisia, Indo Rwanda, Indo Senegal, Indo Malawi, Indo Ethiopia, Indo Zimbabwe, Indo Botswana, Indo Comoros and Indo Mauritius Film and Cultural Forum.

Sandeep Marwah Honored by Sudan Government

New Delhi: It was in 2002 when Indo Sudan Cultural Forum was formed by H.E.
Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem, then the Ambassador of Sudan to India and nominated Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios as the Chair for this organization.

“It has been 17 years since 2002 the association has done a commendable job by building wonderful relations between the two nations India and Sudan through art and culture,” narrated Viney Kumar the studio manager of Marwah Studios who was also witnessed that historical moment.

“I extend my   heartiest congratulations to Dr. Marwah and his team for the continuous support to the Embassy of Sudan in India and take this opportunity to honor him for his kind efforts,” said H.E. Osman Mohammed Elbasher Mohammed Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Ghana to India on his visit to Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

Every important event of Marwah Studios and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry invited delegates from Sudan. Some of the programs where Government and Private Organizations of Sudan participated includes Global Media Summit, Global Tourism Summit, Global Education Summit, Global Leadership Summit, Global Film Festival, Global Literary Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Festival of Journalism etc.

Indo Sudan Cultural Forum Moves Further at ICMEI


Indo Sudan Cultural Forum Revised




Noida: Indo Sudan Cultural Forum of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment  Industry saw a new light with the presence of H.E. Osman Mohammed Elbasher Mohammed Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Ghana to India on his visit to Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

Indo Ghana Cultural Forum was created 19 years back in 2002 when H.E. Abdalmahmood Abdalhaleem then the Ambassador of Sudan to India inaugurated the forum and appointed Dr. Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of the centre.

“In a span of all these years Marwah Studios the promoting body entertained many students from Sudan in film and television courses. We have been receiving delegates from Sudan in our every International Summit. They have been representing different government and private departments of Sudan,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

I am amazed to see the work, which ICMEI has done in a short period of time. The capability and capacity of Cultural diplomacy of ICMEI is beyond words. I am honored to be here,” said H.E. Osman Mohammed Elbasher Mohammed Charged’ Affairs of Sudan to India.

Sudan representatives have attended Global Media And Entertainment Summit, Global Tourism Summit, Global Leadership Summit, Global Skill Development Summit, Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival and Global Fashion Week.

Dr. Marwah recalled meeting some of the important people from Ghana including Rev. Filotheos Farag Proto Priest, Hafiz Abdelrahman Omer, Yousif Ibrahim Ahmed, Alaeldin Elamin Jaha Elamin and many others.

Dr. Marwah offered a scholarship to Deserving student from Sudan, a film festival of films from Sudan, A radio Program, a television program and many other facilities while signing  MOU.

Later Dr. Marwah honored Osman Mohammed with Patronship of Indo Sudan Cultural Forum. Sandeep Marwah also honored by   Osman Mohammed for his dedicated services to Indo Sudan relations.

ICMEI Will Exchange Art And Culture With All African Countries

Noida: After the successful launching of Indo Nigerian Film Association, Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum, Indo Senegal, Indo Egypt, Indo Gabon, Indo Gambia, Indo South Africa, Indo Lesotho, Indo Botswana, Indo Sudan and Indo Malawi Film And Cultural Forum ICMEI decided to join hands with every African country under Indo African Cultural Association.

“The continent of Africa has 52 countries and we are already dealing with around 30 countries, it is the high time we should have an Indo African Association to highlight our relations with Africa,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Asian Education Group.

ICMEI has join hands with, to start with, Association of African Students in India and started planning what all ICMEI and Asian Academy of Film And Television can do to have better relations with African Countries.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with AASI to project relations with African Countries. Merviel Ntambwe President AASI, Maryam Abdulhamid Vice President AASI, Ezeugo Nnamdi Lawrence General Secretary AASI, Solomon Member AASI, Ajeck  Norbert Event Coordinator and Foster Addo Public Relations Coordinator were also present there.

ICMEI Will Create A Separate African Cultural Union


African Union to Be Launched at ICMEI


Noida: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Marwah Studios in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television has already created numerous forums in relation to African Countries.

“ Time has come when we should have a an African Union as a part of ICMEI so that more regularly we can work with Africa as a continent. Very soon we will be launching ‘An African Union’,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios addressing the nationals of different countries from Africa.

ICMEI is already dealing with Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Niger, Ethiopia, South Africa, Gabon, Lesotho, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Malawi, Kenya,  Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Libya, Tunisia, Senegal, Guiana, Ghana, Congo, Cameron, Djibouti, Somalia, Tanzania, Burkina Faso and others.

“It was a great pleasure to receive the delegates from different countries of Africa in different Global Festivals and Summits organized by Marwah Studios and AAFT in partnership with ICMEI in the recent past,” added Sandeep Marwah chairing numerous international cultural forums.
