Sandeep Marwah Visited Paris to Observe Tourism After Pandemic

Paris: The pandemic had created immense restrictions as far as tourism is concerned. Local as well as international tourism have suffered a lot. The trade has suffered loses in billions. With opening of tourism and international airlines hotels, airlines, transportation, restaurants have breathed little. I am rather surprised that Paris has picked up very well and industry is working in full swing,” said Sandeep Marwah President Asian Institute of Tourism and Hospitality in a press conference at Hotel Meurice, Rue De Rivoli, Paris, France.

Sandeep Marwah has been also representing as Managing Director of NFTC- National Federation of Tourism and Transport Cooperatives of India Limited. His contribution to Film Tourism is enormous. Thirty years back he gave one word to English dictionary that was Film Tourism when no one could understand the meaning, and now every country is talking about film tourism.

“Being a founder of Noida Film City We have been able to attract three million people to film city under film tourism in last   thirty years. This is the 30th year of Marwah Studios,” informed Sandeep Marwah.

Noida: Thirty years back I gave a term to English Dictionary-Film Tourism and nobody could place it that time, but today I am happy that the whole World is talking about Film Tourism. Under film tourism we have been able to attract more than 2 million people to Noida Film City and to support the generation of business to billions of rupees. That is where the beginning of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism came into existence,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts at the convocation of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism.

No doubt Covid 19 has disturbed this industry to the worst during all these 18 months of Pandemic, but time has come when this industry is going to boom beyond our own expectations. Human nature is to explore, and half the people of the world are anxiously waiting for this pandemic to get over. Dr. Marwah motivated the students by telling some interesting stories from his own experiences and presented awards and diplomas to the outgoing students of the institute. Yash Saini Bachelor of Hotel Management, Sidhant Bhatia Bachelor of Tourism & Travel Management, and Mohit Diwakar Diploma in Hotel Management were adjudged as overall toppers in the school.

National Tourism Day Celebrated at Asian Institute of Tourism


New Delhi: “India is a diverse nation and it offers several forms of tourism including cultural, Film, nature, heritage, educational, sports, rural, eco-tourism, etc. This diversity of India makes it a prime attraction for tourists,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Institute Hospitality and Tourism at the meeting of tourism giants at Hotel Taj Mansingh on the occasion of    National Tourism Day, which falls on 25th January.

“ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited have created 196 International Committees and 543 National Committees on tourism and deeply working on the promotion of tourism in India,” informed Sandeep Marwah.

More than 600 students from the school of Cinema, Mass Communication & Journalism and Fashion & Design supporting department of tourism in ICMEI. Large number of workshops, seminars, talks, road shows, research works, tours, and festivals have been added to the whole affair of tourism,” said Sandeep Marwah.

“We all are very positive as we are sure that Indian tourism will grow many folds in time to come. Tourism in India has the potential to promote faster, sustainable and more inclusive growth. It could be used as a powerful antidote to tackle poverty,” expressed Marwah.

London Is The Biggest Tourist Attraction- Sandeep Marwah

London: London is one of the world's leading tourism destinations, and the city is home to an array of famous tourist attractions. The city attracted 20.42 million international visitors in 2018, making it one of the world's most visited in terms of international visits informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited talking to Indian press at Hotel Montcalm at Marble Arch.

It welcomed an additional 27.8 million overnighting domestic tourists in 2017 and had 280 million day- trippers in 2015. Overall London sees in nearly 50 million overnighters each year, and over 300 million visitors if including day-trippers.

The Travel & Tourism sector in the United Kingdom contributed GBP66.3 billion to the GDP, 3.4% of total GDP in 2016 and will rise by 2.2% pa, from 2017-2027, to GBP84.6 billion, 3.6% of total GDP in 2027.

The tourism sector employed 700,000 people in 2013 according to Deloitte – Oxford Economics, accounting for 11.6 percent of the capital's GDP.

“There is so much to do in London that tourist is bound to come here again and again. We at India must change our attitude towards tourism and start giving our best to the nation. Every one in the country must respect the tourist to bring change in the system,” added Sandeep Marwah also President of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism. Marwah Studios has attracted 1.4 million people to Noida Film City under Film Tourism.

Noida: A grand event to celebrate Tourism of India and to discuss the prospects of tourism in relation to rest of the World, a National Tourism Summit was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism and Association of Asian Union at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

The summit was inaugurated by the former Governor of Manipur H.E. Vinod Kumar Duggle, former Governor H.E. Amolak Rattan Kohli along with L. P. Potsang President of Global World of Music And Arts Organization, Subhash Goyal President of All India Travellers Agent Association, Padma Shri Bharati Shivaji renowned dance exponent of Mohiniyattam and Dr. Beni Prasad Agarwal Chairperson Association of Asian Union.

“We are associated with tourism since we are in cinema. Twenty-five years back we gave a new word of Film Tourism to the English dictionary, it has become one of the most popular words in tourism industry now. Marwah Studios has attracted two million people in all these years under film tourism,” initiated the summit by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“India has grown much bigger In Tourism Industry in last few years. We have grown from six million to ten million tourist in last few years but still a lot has to be done to attract many countries,” said Subhash Goyal veteran of tourism industry.

L.P.Potsang and Padamshri Bharti Shuvaji touched the subject of culture whereas Governor Vinod Kumar Duggle expressed the need to bring in changes in day-to-day affairs to make tourism industry more vibrant. Governor Kohli introduced some new ideas to make Indian Tourism more popular within country and with foreign Nations.

The first session finished with question answers. Later Sandeep Marwah honored the guest with memento and life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

New Jersey: The recent visit of an international educationist Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios to United States of America brought new chapter in the books of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“The Small towns like Millville are also quite good for the young students to learn hospitality and tourism business. The needs and the different kind of requirements of middle class segment of the society can make young student of hospitality and tourism learn more and various issues of this industry at the same time,” said Sandeep Marwah talking to the press at Millville Lodge at town near Vineland at New Jersey.

New Delhi: A grand event was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to present awards to the diplomats and Embassies who all have gone out of way to promote Hospitality and Tourism business in India.

International seminar and talks on the promotion of tourism were the agenda of the program followed by food tasting with number of food stalls from different parts of the country established there for a day.

The international awards were presented to H.E H.E. Jorge Juan Castañeda Mendez. Ambassador of Republic Peru to India, H.E. Radhu Dobre Ambassador of Romania to India, H.E. Dr. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India, H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d’ Affaires of Fiji in India, H.E. Jozef Drofenic Ambassador of Republic of Slovenia to India and Makhatwe E. Mankimane  First Secretary of Embassy of Lesotho in New Delhi..

Every one spike about their country and expressed through their short films on tourism. People attended the event from hospitality and tourism industry.

New Delhi: A full day food festival and seminar on the serious issues on tourism were designed by a group of organizations including Magika, ICMEI, NFTC, AAFT and many Indian and foreign Embassies in New Delhi.

The discussions and talks were followed by the award function and the organizers honored all those who have contributed to tourism. The most prestigious Tourism Promotion Award went to Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios for his untiring contribution to Tourism and Hospitality Industry.

Sandeep Marwah has created a word Film Tourism 25 years back and now it is the most important tourism in the World. His contribution as Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited is par excellence.

His school AAFT has attracted two million people to Noida Film City and Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism through their degree and skill development program educating young talent cautiously for this industry.

“I am thrilled to accept my award for tourism. There is a very thin line between tourism and cinema. We have removed that line for the promotion of both the industry,” said Sandeep Marwah accepting the award.

The award was handed over in a impressive function at Hotel Pullman at Aero city in the presence of many High Commissioners & Ambassadors and  giants from the industry.

New Delhi: At Eleven Madison Park—ranked No 1 on the world’s 50 best restaurants list
in 2017—simplicity and minimalism are driving a culinary revolution. Bringing to India a taste of his New York based restaurant, co-owner and chef Daniel Humm was in India recently who was invited by Sandeep Marwah to Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Noida.

The World Series by American Express hosted two dinners with Humm in Mumbai and Delhi at The St Regis Mumbai and The Leela Palace New Delhi respectively. We catch up with the chef ahead of the dinners to understand what it takes for him to be on top.

Growing up in Switzerland, chef Humm developed an appreciation for fresh, local ingredients early on. He has vivid childhood memories of going to the farms with his mother to buy produce and watch her cook whatever was in season. “Great ingredients are the starting point of a great dish. But it’s what you do with those ingredients that really makes them shine,” he says. Today, Humm’s biggest inspirations are New York’s cultural history and agricultural bounty, which can be seen in the smallest details at his restaurant.

Humm sums up his food philosophy quite simply. “I want to really connect with the guests; give them something they’ve had before, but give it to them in a reinvented way.” 

AIHT wants to produce some extra ordinary chefs for national and international market, our target is that good food always attract customers from all the regions,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AIHT.

NFTC Promotes Indian Tourism At Uzbekistan

Tashkent: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited Sandeep Marwah recently visited Tashkent the capital of Uzbekistan to study tourism of the country.

Talking to the press at Hotel Hyatt, Tashkent Marwah appreciated that Uzbekistan is attracting more Indians day by day. “ I hope we will be able to bring two countries much more closer in next few years. Asian Institute of Hospitality And Tourism has added Uzbekistan into its studies  too ,” said Marwah.

Uzbekistan is a country with potential for an expanded tourism industry. Many of its Central Asian cities were main points of trade on the Silk Road, linking Eastern and Western civilizations.

Today the museums of Uzbekistan store over two million artifacts, evidence of the unique historical, cultural and spiritual life of the Central Asian peoples that have lived in the region. Uzbekistan attracts tourists with its historical, archeological, architectural and natural treasures.

On this occasion Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI, Pankaj K Singh IRS Commissioner Taxes Noida, Gurang from Tourism Industry and Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI launched the poster at Marwah Studios.

Pattaya Attracts Global Cultural Minister Sandeep Marwah

Pattaya, 2nd April 2018: Pattaya is a seaside resort on the Eastern Gulf Coast of Thailand about 150 km southeast of Bangkok. Pattaya is mostly famous for its go-go and beer bars, but local authorities have made some efforts to provide more family-friendly attractions and activities.

 “It is not possible in India, although the sex industry is still going strong and sex tourism remains the key money earner for Pattaya, the resort also attracts local families and holidaymakers from around the world,” said Sandeep Marwah Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited at press meet at Hilton Hotels and Resorts at Pattaya.

Pattaya attracts 8 million tourists in a year. Thailand, Russia and China were the top three markets for Pattaya with a combined market share of 59 per cent.  They were followed by Germany and Taiwan, thus displacing the British who have traditionally been seen as the largest foreign group.

 “Looking back, tourism growth in Pattaya entered a new age with the opening of Suvarnabhumi international airport in 2006 and the subsequent opening of the fast-track motorway linking to the Eastern Seaboard resort.” Added Marwah also President of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism.

Ras Al Khaimah: Ras al Khaimah is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The city has two main sections, Old Ras Al Khaimah and Nakheel, on either side of a creek.

“Ras al-Khaimah is becoming a new destination on tourist maps. Ras al-Khaimah is home to some of the best chains in five star hotels and beach resorts, ”said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism talking to press at Hotel Waldof Astoria.

 Ras al- Khaimah has a number of 4 and 3 star accommodations. Lately first water park Ice Land was opened to offer leisure opportunity for both residents and visitors and more new tourism projects are under construction. NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited will prepare a report on this upcoming city.

The city has UAE culture which mainly revolves around the religion of Islam and traditional Arab culture. The influence of Islamic and Arab culture on its architecture, music, attire, cuisine and lifestyle are very prominent as well.

Indo Czech Republic Cultural Forum Plans Activities

New Delhi: “It was one of the finest trip to Europe and my visit to two most important towns- Parag and Chesky Crumlov in Czech Republic cannot be explained, rather it is beyond words,” expressed Sandeep Marwah Chairman of Indo Czech Republic Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

Sandeep Marwah was briefing about his trip and his interaction with people of the country to H.E. Milan Hovorka Ambassador of Czech Republic to India on his arrival to Delhi.

Sandeep Marwah mentioned the involvement of NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited and creating a special committee on Indo Czech Relations at the National Head quarters of NFTC in addition to Indo Czech Republic Film And Cultural Forum with ICMEI.

 Marwah has also purposed to ISDC-India Skill Development Council to study Tourism of Czech Republic, which is one of the main Industry of the country.

Marwah also mentioned about the study of tourism of Czech Republic as a part of workshops at tourism institutes and the visit of the students of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism to Czech.

Prague: India has large number of historical monuments, which can be converted into tourist attraction; many of them are already very exclusive and special. We still need to learn from Prague to convert them to international taste & attraction,” said Sandeep Marwah Managing Director NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited during his visit to Prague at Hotel Kings Court.


Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the 14th largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the northwest of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.4 million people

Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Prague ranked sixth in the Tripadvisor world list of best destinations in 2016. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination, and the city receives more than 6.4 million international visitors annually, as of 2014. Prague is the fifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome.

Vienna: Tourism forms an important part of Austria's economy, accounting for almost 9% of the Austrian gross domestic product.
