News Letter on Cyprus Released by The High Commissioner


New Delhi: Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum has done a wonderful job by consolidating all the events conducted during the year in one simple News Letter released by H.E. Demetrios A Thephyopious High Commissioner of Cyprus to India.

It was  during Global Film Festival Noida 2015 Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum was created and launched to promote and develop relation between two countries through films and other arts.

“I am touched by the gesture extended by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry by incorporating all their events and created a news letter means it is recorded and history has been made,” said H.E. Demetrios on the last day of his stay in India.

“The cooperation what we have received from the High Commission and its staff has given us enough strength to work for this association,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI. Ashok Tyagi Secretary General ICMEI and Rajiv Mathur Director ICMEI were also present there.

New Delhi: The High Commissioner of Cyprus H.E. Demetrios A Theophylactou invited Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum to an exhibition at Alliance Francaise De Delhi.

The renowned painter Georghios Greorghious under the title “India Cyprus Common Roots Across Time” presented the Painting exhibition. His paintings were covering portraits of Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan & Salman Khan and politicians like Mahatma Gandhi & Narendra Modi.

“It is a rare combination of Indo Cyprus Friendship and development through art and culture when Cyprus artists painting Indian personalities for his international exhibitions,” said Sandeep Marwah Chairman Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum.

This is my last event in India as an Ambassador of Cyprus to India. This exhibition is like a tribute to this beautiful country India. I will remember every time I have spend on this land,” said H.E. Demitrios A. Theophylactou.

Greorgios Georghious studies painting at Athens School of Fine Arts with Demetrios Mytaras and sculpture with Efthhymios Panourgias. His training in theatre was with Georghios Ziakas.

Cyprus: The Indo Cyprus Cultural Forum under the leadership of Sandeep Marwah opens its membership to all those who have serious interest in promoting relation between the two countries India and Cyprus.

“A group of media persons visiting Cyprus and members of the tourism industry who have come all the way from India to promote Cyprus are now member of Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Chamber.

Cyprus: The President of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Sandeep Marwah met Lefteris S Eleftheriou the senior Investment Promotion officer of Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency here today in Nicosia.

All has been discussed that can bring two countries together through art and culture. Sandeep Marwah who is also Chairing ICFCF- Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum is once gain invited to be the part of the Conclave specially designed for ‘Cinema in Cyprus’ keeping Indian film makers in mind.

“We need to have one to one discussions with film producers so that they are rest assured of the facilities available in Cyprus for film shootings and logistics required. This conclave will help us in understanding the whole process,” said Sandeep Marwah in a meeting at Hotel Hilton, Nicosia.

“We are working hard on the subsidies which we can provide to the film makers who all are going to shoot in Cyprus. The good news is quite close to final approval,” said Lefteris S Eleftheriou Senior Investment Promotion Officer.

“We would like to invite film makers to come and see for themselves the locations, partners in progress, facilities and support they can get in Cyprus for their film business,” added H.E. Demetrious A. Theophylactou High Commissioner of Cyprus to India.

ICMEI Will Promote Cyprus Locations to Indian Film Maker

Cyprus: The renowned media personality Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry was invited by the Government of Cyprus for a five-day trip to the Republic of Cyprus.

“Colorful people, cooperative nature, availability of picturesque locations and untouched sites I am sure Indian film makers would love to shoot in Cyprus. I am going to promote Cyprus to filmmakers in India to explore Cyprus as film location,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI on his five-day visit to Cyprus.

“There is ample scope in promoting Indo Cyprus relations through films, television and media. The Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI will look for all interesting opportunities to work with people to people,” added Marwah.

“I assure you that Indian Film Makers will get full cooperation from our side. We would love to give them a life time experience not only in tourism but in film making too,” said H.E. Demetrious A. Theophylactou High Commissioner of Cyprus to India also present in the meeting.

NFTC Managing Director Visits Paphos in Cyprus

Cyprus: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited Sandeep Marwah on the invitation of Ministry of Tourism, Government of Cyprus visited Paphos in Cyprus.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to know Cyprus in and out. The city of Paphos is a beautiful town with lots of family values. Visit to Pafos Mosaics and Medieval Fort, Five Star Hotels like Elysium and lunch at Sea cruise adds to the experience,” said Sandeep Marwah MD of NFTC while talking to the press at  Aliathon Holiday Village Hotel  at Paphos City.

 Paphos, the capital of western Cyprus, has some serious historical clout. Site of the vast fourth-century BC Tombs of the Kings, set high on a cliff above the sparkling sea, as well as a dramatic Byzantine castle and fine mosaics, it's also known as the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. The population of 27,000 is swelled by a summer influx of beach-bound English, German and Scandinavian visitors. A beautiful old harbor awaits, while modern hotels and restaurants stretch along the promenade.

“A visit to Cyprus will be recommended to the students of Asian Institute of Hospitality and Tourism in the coming weeks,” added Marwah. The High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to India H.E. Demetrios A. Theophylactou also accompanied Sandeep Marwah.

Sandeep Marwah Nominated State Guest to Cyprus

Cyprus: The Government of Cyprus invited the renowned Indian film, television and media personality Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios to Cyprus as state guest.

“It was two years back when we launched Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum at the time of Global Film Festival Noida, an organization to develop and promote the relation between the two countries through art and culture,” said Sandeep Marwah Chairman of Indo Cyprus Cultural Forum at Larnaca International airport on arrival at Cyprus.

“Ample has been done. We have nominated the High Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus to India H.E. Demetrios A. Theophylactou as the Parton of the organization and President of Republic of Cyprus H.E. Nicos Anastasiades as the Chief Parton of the association during his state visit to India,” added Marwah.

“I am very excited, as this is my first trip to Cyprus. The warm welcome at the airport and the enthusiasm of the officers has impressed me. I am sure we will be able to do a lot together,” expressed Marwah.

The five day trip to Cyprus will cover visit to the important locations, hotels, cultural programs and important meetings with the who’s who of the country. This five days visit will bring two countries together.
