Varanasi: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited was in Varanasi admiring the constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for initiating tourism activities in the District.

Varanasi also known as Benares, is a city on the banks of the Ganges in the Uttar Pradesh state of North India, 320 kilometres south-east of the state capital, Lucknow, and 121 kilometres  east of Allahabad. A major religious hub in India, it is the holiest of the seven sacred cities (Sapta Puri) in Hinduism and Jainism, and played an important role in the development of Buddhism and Ravidassia.

“Renowned Indian writers who have resided in the city were Kabir, Ravidas, and Tulsidas, who wrote much of his Ram Charit Manas here. Kulluka Bhatt wrote the best known account of Manusmriti in Varanasi in the 15th century Later writers of the city have included Acharya Shukla, Baldev Upadhyaya, Bharatendu Harishchandra, Devaki Nandan Khatri, Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, Jaishankar Prasad, Kshetresa Chandra Chattopadhyaya, Sudama Pandey (Dhoomil), Vagish Shastri, and Vidya Niwas Mishra,” informed Sandeep Marwah also President of ICMEI.

Varanasi is a major centre of arts and designs. It is a producer of silks and brocades with gold and silver thread work, carpet weaving, wooden toys, bangles made of glass, ivory work, perfumes, artistic brass and copper ware and a variety of handicrafts. The cantonment graveyard of the British Raj is now the location of Varanasi's Arts and Crafts. 

“Notable artists and historians who are connected with the city include Bismillah Khan, Ravi Shankar, Girija Devi, Gopal Shankar Misra, Gopi Krishna, Kishan Maharaj, Lalmani Misra, N. Rajam, Siddheshwari Devi, Samta Prasad, and Sitara Devi,” added Marwah proposing to send students from AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism.

Prague Is A City of Historical Monuments -Sandeep Marwah

Prague: India has large number of historical monuments, which can be converted into tourist attraction; many of them are already very exclusive and special. We still need to learn from Prague to convert them to international taste & attraction,” said Sandeep Marwah Managing Director NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited during his visit to Prague at Hotel Kings Court.


Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is the 14th largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. Situated in the northwest of the country on the Vltava river, the city is home to about 1.4 million people

Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Prague ranked sixth in the Tripadvisor world list of best destinations in 2016. Its rich history makes it a popular tourist destination, and the city receives more than 6.4 million international visitors annually, as of 2014. Prague is the fifth most visited European city after London, Paris, Istanbul and Rome.

New Delhi: “I have always believed that there is a very thin line between cinema and tourism. Both are glamorous trade and needs personal attention,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at a international expo on tourism at Hotel Pride Plaza.

Film tourism has become one of the most popular segments of the industry. Indian cinema has great impact all over the World. Every nation wants to host Indian Cinema expressed Vinod Zutshi former Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India while handing over the Award to Sandeep Marwah in the presence of august audience.

Sandeep Marwah is also the Managing Director of NFTC- National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited honored for his untiring efforts in the field of tourism and attracting more than 2 million tourists to Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah is working on 543 tourism committee in NFTC and 162 International committees in ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry for the promotion of trade. He is also the president of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, Noida.

Award function was the final part of a daylong tourism conference designed by ITCTA-International Tourism Conference And Travel Awards for ICM Group under the leadership of Ajay Gupta.

NFTC Plans Tour to London For Training

London: National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited will plan a study tour for the students of tourism to the city of London, United Kingdom for their training in perfect tourism.

“The level of tourist pouring in London from all over the World, through out the year amazes me. There is not even singe week where tourism activities are at its low. 31.5 million tourists in a year in this city makes London as the most faverouite city of the World,” informed Sandeep Marwah Managing Director of NFTC at a press conference at Hotel Millennium, Mayfair, London.

We are planning a tour of students of tourism from India to see for them how this city has grown with the help of strong tourism. I am sure the trip will be a lesson in itself,” added Marwah.

Sandeep Marwah is also President of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism based in Noida conducting Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses in Tourism and Hospitality industry. International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry also supports the School.
