Noida, India – April 2025: Two captivating animated films from Uzbekistan captured hearts and applause at the 13th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2025, showcasing the rich storytelling tradition and evolving animation industry of Central Asia.
The featured films, Legends of the Great Silk Road and Tomiris, both directed by acclaimed filmmaker Aboulatif Khaydarov, were screened to a full house of enthusiastic cinephiles. These animations reflect the cultural depth and historical richness of Uzbekistan, brought vividly to life through high-quality animation and engaging narratives.
Prior to the screenings, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Journalism Centre and Chair of the Indo-Uzbekistan Film and Cultural Forum, addressed the audience, highlighting the growth and potential of the animation industry. Noida: What a presentation, what a lively music, what an energy, I think it could have never been better than this. the performance of Havas Guruhi from Uzbekistan won the heart of every one present here,” said Sandeep Marwah President AAFT School of Performing Arts after attending the performance at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. HAVAS GURUHI, meaning White Envy, is a Uzbekistani music group composed of seven members of the Ermatov family who are popularly known for singing Indian songs. The group was founded by a couple, Rustam and his wife Matluba, who are the director and producer of the group respectively.
The singers and musicians of the band are their four children. The eldest child, a son named Khakhramon is the winner of Uzbekistan’s Nihol award. The second child is a daughter named Shakhnoza. The third child is a son named Dostonbek. The fourth and youngest child is a daughter named Robiya. Nilufar, the wife of eldest son Khakhramon, is a former TV anchor and the present public relations officer of their band.
The event was inaugurated by Thabang Linus Kholumo the Charge d’ Affairs of Kingdom of Lesotho, Anastasiya Vorakh Counsellor of Embassy of Belarus, Secretary General of England base organization AASGON Brijesh Mathur, and Spiritual Researcher Dr. C.K. HAVAS Musical Group from Uzbekistan Performed at Asian Business School
Noida: A house full of enthusiastic young students of Asian Business School & Asian School of Business could not wait for more for HAVAS a musical group from Uzbekistan to perform and spread the musical energy in the auditorium of Asian Education Group.
Some of the most popular numbers from Hindi Cinema were thrown into the audi by award winning musicians and a new wave of energy could be seen with the instant response.

The group was founded in 2010. It is led by the director and producer couple Ermatov Rustamjon Gulomjonovich (Rustam) and his wife Ermatova Matluba Murotkhojaevna (Matluba). Rustam is the group leader and director. His wife Matluba, a graduate in child psychology, is the producer who also manages her family’s large textile business. Their son Gulomjonov Khakhramon (Khakhramon) and daughter Gulomjanova Shakhnoza (Shakhnoza) are singers. Khakhramon, the winner of the Nihol national award, awarded by the president for excellence in music, is the lead singer, composer, and keyboard player.
Singer Shahnoza is also a keyboard player and painter. Rustam and Matluba’s younger son Gulomjanov Dostonbek (Dostonbek) and multiple awards winning youngest daughter Gulomjanova Robiyakhon (Robiya) are also singers and violinists in the band. Robiya has been singing in concerts since the age of 6 years.

. Sandeep Marwah in a Master Class at Tashkent International Film Festival
Tashkent: “!986 I designed this project of Noida Film City, 1987 it got its clearance, 1988 allotments were made and 1991 the first studio of North India under the name and banner of Marwah Studios came into existence and no looking back,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios in a master class talking about his journey and Indian Film and Television Industry of India at Tashkent International Film Festival in Uzbekistan.
“Talking about the scale of Indian media and entertainment Industry Marwah informed that India is the largest film producing country in the World. “We make 2000 feature films in 28 official languages. There are 10,000 theatres and approximately 15 million people watch cinema every day. We sell 5 billion cinema tickets every year. Nearly 10 million people are working in media and entertainment industry. This is the sixth biggest industry in the country. We have 950 Television Channels, 325 Radio Stations ad 40,000 Newspapers and Magazines. The turnover of our industry is touching 1400 billion rupees and expected to be 1800 billion rupees by end of next year,” informed Sandeep Marwah answering many questions from the audience.
Noida Film City is growing very well. We have 16 studios; 350 Channels being broadcast to 162 countries. 17000 media professionals are working here, and cascading effect is that 150,000 people are earning their bread from this city.
Marwah Studios has churned out 4500 television programs for 50 channels, being associated with 125 feature films and made around 5000 training films. Asian Academy of Film and Television the first private film school of the country educated and trained 19000 media professionals from 145 countries of the World and given largest number of celebrities to India.
Marwah Films and Video Production has produced 3000 short films and given opportunity to more than 10,000 media professions to make films at the cost of studios. Sandeep Marwah Paid Gratitude to Shastri Ji in Tashkent
Tashkent: “I extend my gratitude to Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri the former Prime Minister of India, one of the most loveable man from Indian Politics. The visit to Tashkent would have been incomplete without visiting the Lal Bahadur Shastri Monument created here in Uzbekistan,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on his interaction with press on the occasion of Tashkent International Film Festival 2021.
“I must congratulate the Government of Uzbekistan for reviving the festival as Tashkent Film Festival had been rated earlier as one of the most prestigious festivals of the World. A beautiful tag line -The Pearl of The Silk Road has been very well added to the show,” added Marwah.
Lal Bahadur Shastri promoted the Green Revolution in India in 1965, which led to an increase in food grain production in India. His famous quote Jai Jawan Jai Kisan raised the level of prestige of forces and farmers in very short period of time. His tenure as the Prime Minister was only for 19 months. He died in Tashkent on January 11, 1966.

Tashkent: Well known film, television and media personality and founder of Noida Film City Sandeep Marwah has been invited by the Tashkent International Film Festival to be held from 28thSeptember to 3rdOctober 2021. The organizer of the film festival is the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan.
This year the film festival will be held under the motto “Peace, Development and Enlightenment. The festival will host master classes for young filmmakers with the participation of well-known specialists and directors, creative meetings, film trainings, round tables, film exhibitions in the regions, screenings of the best domestic and foreign films. H.E. Dilshad finished his studies from The University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Tashkent/Uzbekistan) Moscow State Institute of International Relations. After providing his services to the nation for number of years he was nominated as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Germany (also responsible for Switzerland, Czech Republic, Sweden and Spain).
Later he was nominated as Head of the Department for UN and International Organizations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, followed by
Head of the Department for Europe and NATO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and then Director-General for bilateral cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Ambassador was earlier worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and now nominated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of India.
