Sandeep Marwah Paid Gratitude to Shastri Ji in Tashkent

Tashkent: “I extend my gratitude to Late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri the former Prime Minister of India, one of the most loveable man from Indian Politics. The visit to Tashkent would have been incomplete without visiting the Lal Bahadur Shastri Monument created here in Uzbekistan,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios on his interaction with press on the occasion of Tashkent International Film Festival 2021.

“I must congratulate the Government of Uzbekistan for reviving the festival as Tashkent Film Festival had been rated earlier as one of the most prestigious festivals of the World. A beautiful tag line -The Pearl of The Silk Road has been very well added to the show,” added Marwah.

Lal Bahadur Shastri promoted the Green Revolution in India in 1965, which led to an increase in food grain production in India. His famous quote Jai Jawan Jai Kisan raised the level of prestige of forces and farmers in very short period of time. His tenure as the Prime Minister was only for 19 months. He died in Tashkent on January 11, 1966.

New Delhi: January 11 marks the death anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri, one of the greatest Indian statesmen and second prime minister of the country. Shastri was elected to the legislature from the United Provinces, erstwhile Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states, and held key cabinet positions of transport and home ministry. Shastri took over as the second prime minister of the country after the death of Jawaharlal Nehru in May 1964.

“ though Lal Bahadur Shastri had only 19 months tenure as second Prime Minister of India but he left huge impact on the citizens of India. His famous quote Jai Jawan Jai Kisan touched the  hearts of all Indians. spoke Sandeep Marwah Chief Scout For India in a webinar addressing large audience on the death anniversary of Shastri Ji organised by Scouts Guides Organisation in association with AAFT University and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“Let me read some quotes of Shastri Ji-The preservation of freedom, is not the task of soldiers alone, the whole nation has to be strong. We believe in peace and peaceful development, not only for ourselves but for people all over the world. True democracy or the swaraj of the masses can never come through untruthful and violent means. India will have to hang down her head in shame if even one person is left who is said in any way to be untouchable,” added Marwah.

Lal Bahadur Shastri Remembered at AAFT University


Noida: “It is the right time to recollect the words spoken by our late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri-“Jai Jawan Jai Kisan”where he taught us the importance of both of wings of national development and security,” said Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University observing silence for two minutes on the death anniversary of the great leader of the country at a small event at Marwah Studios.

“Our country has often stood like a solid rock in the face of   common danger, and there is a deep underlying unity which runs like a golden thread through all our seeming diversity,” Dr. Sandeep Marwah read the quotes by Lal Bahadur Shastri while talking to the media persons at Noida Film City.

Marwah also uttered the Words of former Prime Minister that, ”We can win respect in the World only if we are strong internally and can banish poverty and unemployment from our country,”. A poster was launched in the remembrance of Shastri.

150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at AAFT


Noida: The 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated at Asian Academy of Film And Television with the media students at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

“The idea of having Mahatma Gandhi Forum within the campus is to learn the ideology and thinking of Mahatma Gandhi. There may be thousand of books available but it is very important to practice that ideology,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios expressing different stories related to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

Sushil Bharti of Radio Noida 107.4Fm spoke at length and narrated few stories also related to Lal Bahadur Shasrti who’s birth anniversary also falls on 2nd October.

Tonu Sojatia alumna of AAFT and now part of   National Film Archives of India Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India spoke on the current celebrations of 150th years of Mahatma Gandhi.

A Gandhian by ideology Parul Kumar Vice President of Prabhav Foundation expressed her views along with students Ram, Vivedata,  Riya Mittal and Himani from Asian School of Media Studies.

The event was also attended by the delegation from Uzbekistan and renowned journalist Zarrin Abdukhalik –Zade who spoke about the importance of Lal Bahadur Shastri at Tashkent.
