Noida, India – The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 culminated with an emotional and triumphant note from Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, marking the end of a spectacular three-day event. The fashion extravaganza once again demonstrated the unparalleled talent and dedication of the students from AAFT School of Fashion and Design, setting a new benchmark for fashion institutions across India and beyond.

Reflecting on the event, Sandeep Marwah remarked, “This is the 9th and the end of the great grand show of three days of the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024. The Fashion and Design week proved many things this time. We are one up from all those fashion schools running around India and abroad. No one could present young designers’ range and hard work to that level and stature. More than 23,000 footfalls and participation from 72 countries have added another mark to the show.”

He further expressed gratitude to all contributors, stating, “We are thankful to each and everyone who has contributed to this international event. The fashion week has created a large number of memories in these three days. Shows have been par excellence and we promise to come back with a bang next year.”

The ceremonial lamp was lit by an esteemed panel of dignitaries, including: Basem F Hellis: Counsellor, Embassy of the State of Palestine, Sunali Sethi: Fashion Designer, Image Consultant & Life Coach, Mia Lakra: Model, MTV Splitsvilla Show Fame, Rina Dhaka: Renowned International Designer

The young designers of AAFT showcased an extraordinary range of garments influenced by the art and culture of various countries. Their meticulous detailing and creative flair were evident in every presentation: South Korea: Designs by Shivani Lakhera, China: Creations by Devika, Netherlands: Pieces by Kiran Dhuan, Kyrgyzstan: Outfits by Mansi, Uzbekistan: Fashion by Jasmeher, Afghanistan: Designs by Sameer and Yash, India: Collection by Paridhi

During the final session, two remarkable coffee table books were launched, adding a literary dimension to the event: “Safety Pin” by Divya Mundra, “Mobile Photography” by Divya Mishra

The event, led by Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, showcased the immense talent and creativity of students from the AAFT School of Fashion and Design, firmly placing them on the global map of design.

Sandeep Marwah, in his opening remarks, expressed his pride and joy in witnessing the hard work and dedication of AAFT students. “Hard work pays in life, and I am happy that students of AAFT School of Fashion and Design have understood the working style at AAFT, which has brought them instantly on the World Map of Design. The Fashion School of AAFT provides them unique opportunities throughout the year and international exposure beyond their expectations.”

The event featured an array of garments that celebrated the cultural diversity of numerous countries, designed by the talented students of AAFT: Morocco: Garments by Arjun & Rajshree, Ethiopia: Designs by Simran Rankawat, Russia: Cultural influences in the designs by Rishnika, Chhavi, and Shivani, Brazil: Impressive range by Anushka, Riya, and Aditi Batra, USA: Creative pieces by Rehab Fatima, Paraguay: Highlighted by designer Imran and Chile: Colorful range by Junaid

Adding to the grandeur of the event, two coffee table books were launched, designed by young designers from the AAFT School of Fashion Communication: “Zodiac Symbolism” by Digbijoy Majumdar, “Red Indians” by Rashi Khajuria

Fashion Celebrated at the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024

Noida:  The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 continues to set new benchmarks, emerging as the largest fashion week hosted by any institution worldwide. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, proudly announced, “We have proven to the world that if there is a will, there is a way. The grand show, its size, stature, involvement, audience, number of countries, number of garments, and number of designers make us eligible for a world record.”

The sixth show on the second day was a resounding success, drawing an enthusiastic crowd and selling out completely. Hundreds of additional spectators watched the event on screens outside the main venue, eager to be part of the excitement.

The ceremonial lamp was lit by H.E. Firat Sunel, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Rakesh Vaid, Founder of Usha Fabs Pvt. Ltd., and renowned actor Radha Bhatt. Each of these distinguished guests shared their heartfelt appreciation for the event. H.E. Firat Sunel remarked, “I have never seen such excitement for a show like this. I wish I could attend all the shows.” Radha Bhatt and Rakesh Vaid also expressed their admiration for the event’s grandeur and impact.

The AAFT designers were thrilled to participate in this meticulously planned international show, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. The event highlighted the art and culture of various countries through beautifully crafted garments:

Nepal: Showcased by Shoaib, Kiran, and Rifa. Turkey: Represented by Aman, Kunal, Shivani, Keshav, and Shivangi Pundir. Hungary: Cultural influences seen in the garments by Imran. United Kingdom: Displayed by Shubham. Belgium: Cultural elements clearly visible in the designs of Aditi Verma. India: Showcased by Misthy. Malawi: Highlighted through garments designed by Ishita Jain.

Adding to the event’s cultural richness, a Coffee Table Book titled “Struggles of Boys” was launched, designed by Rishabh Soni, a student of Fashion Communication. This book explores the challenges and triumphs of young men, offering a poignant look at their experiences.

Javier Manuel Paulinich Velarde, Ambassador of the Republic of Peru, H.E. Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo, High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia, and Anhad Bhullar Malhotra, Founder of House of Hindee, as the guest of honour.

Romania: Highlighted by the works of Manisha, Babita, and Meenu. Malaysia: Influences seen in the designs by Anushka and Saanch. Vietnam: Beautifully presented by designer Sulakshana and Peru: Stunning garments designed by Nishi.

H.E. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh praised the rising standards of Global Fashion Week Noida, expressing admiration for the event’s growth and the exceptional quality of the designs. H.E. Noida, India – The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and grandeur at Marwah Studios, Noida. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the event, extended a warm welcome to distinguished guests, including H.E. Dambajavyn Ganbold, Ambassador of the Embassy of Mongolia, Cdr. K L Ganju, Hon.   • Serbia: Sapna Garg brought Serbian culture to life with her exceptional designs.
  • Mongolia: G. Mohit, Manisha, and Saniya highlighted the rich cultural heritage of Mongolia.
  • Gambia: Shritika Ambisth showcased garments inspired by Gambia.

In addition to the fashion presentations, the event also witnessed the release of the Coffee Table Book titled “Old Money Aesthetic,” designed by Smiti Huria, a student of Fashion Communication. The book encapsulates timeless and classic fashion trends, emphasizing elegance and sophistication.

8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 Sets New Standards in Creative Excellence

Noida, India — The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week, held in Noida, has set unprecedented records, becoming the largest fashion event hosted by an educational institution both in India and internationally. This three-day event dazzled attendees with its innovative displays in fashion and furniture design, under the leadership of Festival President Sandeep Marwah, who is also the president of Marwah Studios.

Organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry in collaboration with AAFT School of Fashion and Design, AAFT School of Interior Design, and AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, the festival showcased the depth of global creative talent. An impressive roster of participants from 72 countries contributed to a culturally rich and diverse experience.

The event featured 200 designers who participated in 90 rounds of runway shows, displaying over 550 garments. Additionally, there were four exhibitions including collections of coffee table books, Indian Suits & Sarees, a Photography Exhibition, and 100 creative furniture pieces. The culinary arts were also highlighted with 9 food shows representing the cuisine of 20 countries, all prepared by 700 professionals over nearly three months of planning.

The festival attracted a footfall of 23,000 people, including 250 notable figures from the fashion and design world, as well as 20 Ambassadors and High Commissioners, adding a significant international flavor to the event. A marching band from AAFT added a royal touch to the festivities, which were covered by 500 media houses worldwide.

Each day of the event was documented by the AAFT School of Journalism, with support from 100 volunteers from AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising, 100 digital media representatives from AAFT School of Digital Marketing, and 100 camera persons from AAFT School of Still Photography.

The overwhelming appreciation and congratulations from 72 nations underscored the festival’s success in integrating and showcasing the unique cultural garments of various countries, alongside their national flags, in a spectacular ramp show format.

The opening session of the event was graced by distinguished guests including H.E. Dambajavyn Ganbold, Ambassador of Mongolia, Cdr. K.L. Ganju, Honorary Consul General of Comoros in India, celebrated designer Rina Dhaka, and Ruby Yadav, Cultural Head of the BJP Wing. The session was supported by the World Peace Development and Research Foundation, which endeavors to promote the messages of love, peace, and unity through art and culture as championed by Marwah Studios.

Hemant Sud of IID- Indian Institute of Interior Designing had the honor of unveiling the poster, expressing admiration for the outstanding work of AAFT in the realms of fashion and interior designing.

“I am impressed by the works of AAFT in fashion and interior designing. I must admire the way AAFT and ICMEI showcase the products in an international style,” remarked Hemant Sud.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Festival and AAFT, revealed exciting details about the upcoming mega event, scheduled to take place from May 2nd to May 4th at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. With a grand display of collections from 200 designers, including 100 fashion designers and 100 Interior designers, the event promises to be a spectacular showcase of creativity and innovation.

Highlighting the global scale of participation, Dr. Marwah shared that around 70 countries will be represented, with garments and furniture reflecting the diverse cultures of these nations.
