ICMEI Extends Warm Greetings to Slovenia on Independence and Unity Day

Noida, India | 26 December : Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), on behalf of the global Media and Entertainment Industry and the Art and Culture fraternity, extended his heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Tomaž Mencin, Ambassador of Slovenia, and to the people of Slovenia on the auspicious occasion of Independence and Unity Day, celebrated on 26th December.

While conveying his best wishes, Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized the strong and enduring cultural relationship between India and Slovenia. He stated that Slovenia has been a valued and consistent partner of ICMEI, actively associated with almost every major international initiative and global event organized by the chamber, including film festivals, cultural exchanges, and artistic collaborations.

Noida, 25th June 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) proudly celebrated the Statehood Day of the Republic of Slovenia at Marwah Studios, Noida. The celebration was marked by warm wishes and cultural camaraderie, reaffirming the deep-rooted friendship between India and Slovenia.

AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism Celebrates International Cuisine from Slovenia, Peru, and Namibia at 8th Global Fashion Week

Noida, India – The second day of the 8th Global Fashion and Design Week at Marwah Studios was marked by a spectacular showcase of international cuisine from Slovenia, Peru, and Namibia. The event, which took place during the first session of the day, was inaugurated by a distinguished panel of ambassadors: H.E. Mateja Vodeb Ghosh (Ambassador of Slovenia), H.E. Javier Paulinich (Ambassador of Peru to India), and H.E. Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo (High Commissioner of the Republic of Namibia).

The food festival was a vibrant celebration of global culinary traditions, supported by the Indo Slovenia Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Peru Film and Cultural Forum, and Indo Namibia Film and Cultural Forum of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. Noida: We are pleased to announce the induction of Katianna Ley from Slovenia on the board of AAFT. It is always been our practice to have people from abroad as part of our education system so that international exposure of students can be brought to the campus,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University.

I am more than happy to be part of AAFT. It is one of the finest institutions of the World. There is so much to learn from Dr. Sandeep Marwah. My experience of Global Film Festival is extra ordinary. I would love to share my experience with students of AAFT,” expressed Katianna Ley.

Katianna Ley is an actress and TV host, known for her own Tv jewellery show, movie Safe, movie Addiction. She studied sociology, finished music school and after her studies found passion in acting and professional dancing. As a child she was playing piano, but her big wish was to dance and perform on stage. She became salsa dancer, in 2016 she represented Slovenia at World salsa summit competition. Meanwhile she finished acting school Dramska sola Satirikon by well known Russian professor Viktor Ljubutin, where she brushed up her passion in acting. She was also a part of Jewellery TV show, called Galerija nakita for Slovenian channel.

Following up a successful 2016-17 stint on Hungarian television, Katianna shoot in 2019 scenes for Safe, an American short film being shot in Cannesl by American director Sanelle Sibanda, a Cannes alumnus. Safe stars Katianna in the role of Blanka. The action-packed film co-stars Hollywood actors Sabrina Culver and Karl J. Morris.

National Day of Slovenia Celebrated at ICMEI

Dr. Marjan Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India and the people of Slovenia on the auspicious day of Independence Day & Unity of Slovenia which falls on 26th December,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Slovenian Independence and Unity Day commemorates the official proclamation of the referendum’s results. On 23 December 1990, Slovenians voted a referendum to decide whether or not to break away from Yugoslavia. On 26 December 1990, the results of the referendum were made public and 88.5% of voters voted in favour of Independence

Slovenian Independence and Unity Day is celebrated annually on 26 December. Independence and Unity Day has been observed as a public holiday in Slovenia sine 2005.

“It is almost seven years we are working in hand to hand with the Embassy of Slovenia and Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum is one of the most active forums in Delhi. They have been our partners in every International event like Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Festival of Journalism and Global Literary Festival,” added Dr. Marwah also Chair for Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum.

ICMEI Celebrated National Day of Slovenia


New Delhi: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with ISFCF- Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum celebrated the National Day of Slovenia falls on 25th June on Web as no event could be organized owing to the pandemic Corona Virus.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Dr. Marjan Cencen Ambassador of Slovenia to India and the people of Slovenia on the National Day of Slovenia. India and Slovenia have an excellent relation.  The visit of our President Shri Ram Nath Kovind to Slovenia last year enhanced the relationship to new level. we are keen to deepen this people-to-people contact  through cultural exchanges,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and Chair for ISFCF.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has allotted a special space in Radio Noida and MSTV for Indo Slovenian relations. “The two mediums will high light and propagate our relations with Slovenia. We will soon start broadcasting Slovenian programs,” added Dr. Marwah.

Noida: Indo Slovenia Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts celebrated the National Day of Slovenia at Marwah Studios.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Jožef Drofenik Ambassador of Slovenia to India and the people of Slovenia on the National Day. Mat this day bring lots of energy and power to built better relations Between the two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair for Indo Slovenia Cultural Forum.

ICMEI is planning to take a delegation to Slovenia soon to study the prospects of filming in Slovenia. Also a film festival of Slovenian films has been planned. A poster was launched by Dr. Marwah mark respect to this auspicious day. Many media professionals and film students attended the event. New committees on Slovenia have been formed in the school of cinema, school of journalism and school of fashion and design in AAFT.
