ICMEI Extends Congratulations to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Independence Day

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his heartiest congratulations on behalf of the media and entertainment industry and the art and culture fraternity of India to H.E. Haris Hrle and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the joyous occasion of the country’s Independence Day, celebrated on 1st March.

Dr. Marwah conveyed his warm wishes while highlighting the growing cultural and artistic collaboration between India and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He emphasized that the Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum, under the aegis of ICMEI, has been actively promoting cultural diplomacy and strengthening people-to-people connections between the two nations.

“The Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum has been doing remarkable work and has been a strong partner with ICMEI in almost every major international initiative,” said Dr. Marwah. “The forum has participated and supported various global platforms including the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival, Global Fashion and Design Week, and the International Documentary Film Festival, among many others.”

Dr. Marwah also expressed confidence that the cultural relations between India and Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to grow stronger through art, cinema, literature, and media collaborations.

ICMEI once again extended its best wishes to H.E. Ambassador Haris Hrle and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina for peace, prosperity, and continued success on their Independence Day.

New Delhi, 7 December 2025: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair for the Indo–Bosnia and Herzegovina Film and Cultural Forum, conveyed his warmest congratulations to H.E. Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Honored with IJC Membership


Noida: The International Journalism Centre, in collaboration with the Indo-Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum, recently honored the Patron of the Forum and the Ambassador of Bosnia to India, His Excellency Muhammed Cengic for his contribution to strengthening India-Bosnia relations, presented together by Lord Remi Ranger of House of Lord British Parliament and Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University.

The ceremony was held in Noida during 11th Global Festival of Journalism  and attended by dignitaries from all over India, including representatives from the media, government officials, and members of the film and culture fraternity. The event highlighted the potential for greater cooperation between the two nations in various areas, including trade, culture, and tourism.

His Excellency Muhammed Cengic thanked the organizers for the honor and spoke about the long-standing friendship between India and Bosnia. He emphasized the need to deepen the cultural ties between the two nations and encouraged greater collaboration in the fields of film and culture.

New Delhi: “We have recently finished with the exhibition of still photography by H.E. Muhammed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India at Marwah Studios Noida Film City, which was very well appreciated and covered by press. Muhammed Cengic is a fantastic photographer and covers pictures that probably many other eyes can’t even notice. His pictures are unique and extra ordinary,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts & Chair for Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum at the opening of exhibition of Muhammed Cengic at ICCR, New Delhi.

“It is my good luck that I could cover some of the rarest moments during Kumb Mela, which is the largest collection of human beings at the same place. The culture of India is too vast to capture in one camera,” said H.E. Muhammed Cengic in his opening remarks.

Ambassador Kumar Tuhin Director General of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India extended his warm welcome to all the guests and narrated his experience of his last posting as Ambassador of India to Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The inauguration of the exhibition was attended by large number of people including Ambassador of Turkey, Consul General of Montenegro, Cultural Counselor of Iran, Ambassador of Croatia, Ambassador of Ireland, and Ambassador of Palestine

Noida: “We have made it a point to have an exhibition of still photographs in every Global Festival, as photographs are the base of every event related to films, television and media. This time we are lucky to have pictures displayed by H.E. Muhamed Cengic, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina himself,” said Sandeep Marwah President of 14th Global Film Festival Noida 2021 inaugurating the exhibition.

“What a wonderful collection, each picture is speaking its own story. I am thoroughly impressed by the Artist and the Ambassador. The natural light used for these pictures is the key point to note,” said H.E. Kamlesh Prakash High Commissioner of Fiji to India.

“If these pictures are for sale, then I am the buyer. These pictures are the collector’s items. The expression on every picture is par excellence added K. L. Ganju Hon. Consul General of Comoros in India.

I congratulate the organizers International Journalism Centre and the Photographer who has captured the real moments during Kumbh Mela,” said Balmiki Praad Singh the former Governor of Sikkim while inaugurating the photo exhibition of H.E.  Muhammed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina on the first day of 9th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021 online.

Indo Bosnian Relationships Highlighted By ICMEI

Webinar on Indo Bosnia Relationship by ICMEI

New Delhi:  A webinar was organized by ICMEI- International Media and Entertainment Industry in association with Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum to highlight the Bilateral Trade and Cultural relations between the two countries. H. E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India was the Chief Guest.

“The Government of both the countries are in a very good relationship now. Our association with India was established in the year 1992; the embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina opened in the year 1999 in New Delhi.  The Diplomatic delegations from both the countries have been visiting to take the relationship to a newer height. Two major investments by Indian groups are in Steel and Chemicals. Agreement on Trade was signed in 2002 whereas Joint Business Council was signed in 2003. The total trade between the two countries has risen from 61.1 Million US $ to 86.2 in 2018,” informed H.E. Muhamed Cengic in his keynote address.

 “one of my projects is complete but due to the pandemic I am unable to release the film. Large number of festivals planned this year including Sarajevo Film Festival, the Ballet Festival, the Music festival have to be postponed due to the present situation,” expressed Faruk Loncarevic a well known film maker from Bosnia jointly addressed the webinar.

 Replying to queries Faruk said that he was an ardent fan of Indian films and Bollywood. He mentioned that Directors like Satyajeet Ray and Guru Dutt were remarkable; film like thee idiots has appealed to him and he asks his students to watch this film. He stressed on direct communication with India to further strengthen the ties between the two countries. 

The members of Indo Bosnia Film & Cultural Forum and Consul Generals Sanjay Agarwal from kolkata and Suhas Mantri from Mumbai also spoke about India and Bosnia relations in-depth. Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI and Chair for IBFCF thanked Ambassador and Faruk for their deliveries.

Bosnian Film Festival Attracted People From All Over India at AAFT


Closing Ceremony of Festival of Films From Bosnia


Noida: Three day Bosnian Festival of Cinema brought many film lovers, filmgoers, film professional and film students from all over India to AAFT at Noida film city to be the part of this international event.

The first ever festival of Bosnian films was appreciated for the grand opening and closing function, selection of best films and two major workshops by renowned film writers and directors Aida Begic Zubcevic and Faruk Loncarevic.

The six films which were shown are The perfect Circle, 1997 directed by Ademir Kenovic and will also showcase Walter Defends Sarajevo, 1972 directed by Hajrudin Kravac, Fuse (Gori Vatra), 2003 directed by Pjer Zalica, An Episode in the Life of Iron Picker, 2013 directed by Danis Tanovic, Mom (Sa Mamom), 2014 directed by Faruk Loncarevic and Never Leave Me, 2017 by Aida Begic Zubcevic.

“The six films and two directors in person leaving a huge impact on the Indian film industry. The films are of international standard and emphasis has been given to emotions like Indian cinema. I would love to visit Bosnia to meet many more film makers soon,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah thanking every one for their deep interest.

“We are in reality from the dream which we saw a month back to organize a festival this statute. ICMEI, AAFT and Sandeep Marwah   with his complete team has shown again their capability of fulfilling dreams,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia to India.

Present on the occasion the Consul General of Montenegro in India Janice Darbari proposed to make a feature film in joint venture with the Bosnian directors.” I would love to see these capable directors a film in India and I would love to be part of it,” said Janice Darbari.


More than one hundred film lovers from all over India opted to be the member of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum whom membership certificated were also presented during the festival.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah Honored Ambassador with life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation and      presented life membership of Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum to Aida Begic and Faruk.

First Bosnian Film Festival Inaugurated At Marwah Studios

Noida: Three days festival of Films from Bosnia And Herzegovina was inaugurated today at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City with great pomp and show.

“Under Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum It was decided at International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to have a festival of films in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts and invite people from film, television, media art and culture fraternity. Bosnian films have brought many accolades in different international festivals,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

The event started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by Lt. General K.M. Seth former Governor of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura who congratulated Embassy of Bosnia And Herzegovina for opting the best venue-- Marwah Studios for the first film festival of Bosnian Films. ”I am aware that Bosnia produces 5to 6 films in a year but every film is a piece of art,” said Lt. Gen. K. M. Seth.

“We have brought best six films with two most popular film directors from Bosnia to interact with Indian audience. We all are witness to history as this is the first film festival of Bosnian films in India. Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina is thankful to ICMEI and Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum for taking initiative in organizing this festival,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India.

“Bosnian Films mat not be big in numbers but they have been part of Academy Awards in USA and Cannes film Festival in France. We have pre war movies and post war movies,” explained Farouk Loncarevic renowned film director from Bosnia.

“Film is my passion and I am teaching films too. Opening of the festival in film University is a wonderful idea. We have the right audience for the films,” added Aida Begic screen play writer and film director from Bosnia.

Later Dr. Kcalpana Bhushan renowned Bharatha Natyam exponent presented a dance recital and Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to the distinguished guests and membership of Indo Bosnian Film And Cultural Forum to other members.

I on behalf of my country thank you all for this personal greetings,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Later a poster was released to mark respect to the national day. Also Dr. Marwah presented the memento to the Ambassador as part of National Day celebration.

“We have decided to honor Dr. Sandeep Marwah as he is the first one to initiate for the formation of Indo Bosnia Film And Cultural Forum and has been working for the better relation between two countries since then,” said H.E.
